We all know criminals usually aren’t the proverbial “sharpest knife in the drawer”. But every once in a while, you see some idiocy involving a criminal that makes you say, “YGBSM!!”
Take the case of Donald “Chip” Pugh, 45.
Pugh was facing charges of drunk driving in Lima, OH. He failed to appear at a scheduled court hearing on 28 December, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Apparently the Lima PD also publicized his mugshot online. And that didn’t sit well with Pugh.
So he took a selfie – and sent it to the Lima PD for their use as a replacement mugshot – accompanied by a rather narcissistic message. I quoted his message above in the title of this article.
Well, as the old saying goes: he “really shouldn’t oughta done that.” His sending that “replacement mugshot selfie” made the news.
Apparently social media tips and/or other information generated by his sending that photo to the Lima, Ohio, PD allowed LE to locate him. Pugh was arrested in Century, Florida earlier this week.
Sheesh. What a freaking moron.
“Chip” is really not going to like the following words from his new “roomies” in the “pound him in the ass” jail…
“Toss my salad, BYTCH!”
On last nite’s news there was a report of a DUI woman that rear ended a car going 35 stopped at a traffic light. Oh, the stopped car was a marked police car containing the Sheriff and his principal deputy. They’re banged up but ok. DUI person is screwed I think.

He’s definitely more than a few dozen slices shy of a loaf of bread but hey, he made the LEO’s job easier!! An LEO friend of mine once told me that they don’t have much time to go after the smart criminals because the idiot ones keep them busy 24/7.

I used the same line as your LEO friend my entire time at the PD.
Followed by, “if they were all smart, we wouldn’t have to build so many prisons and county jails”.
It appears he had warrants out of Georgia? If they’re willing to extradite, probably felony warrants. And, it sounds like Ohio may be seeking his return for crimes other than a DUI, at some point.

DullAss “Thunderchicken” Wittgenfeld should really think about doing this too. His mugshot isn’t very flattering either. Maybe he could send in a group photo of him and the rest of the DRG mid-pivot since the rest of them will be shackles eventually.

Just another demonstration of “You can’t fix stupid”. Personally, all who regularly take my picture know the rule is nothing showing my bald spot or beer gut which explains why there are lots of photos of my feet.
