FBI murder statistics for 2014

One of our friends sent us a link to the FBI’s murder statistics for 2014. So here we are with these figures on the cusp of some new gun control regulations in Congress designed to do away with Americans’ right to purchase scary black rifles and shotguns;

FBI murder statistics

Looking at these statistics, we see that rifles and shotguns were used to kill 510 times in 2014 while hands, fists and feet killed 658 people. Looking at that comparison, it would seem to me that people are the problem, not the rifles and shotguns. But, then, I’m not a politican who has to appear as if he is motivated to “do something”.

  1. I tend to open carry my hands but almost always conceal carry my feet.

I have them registered of course. You Gun Nutz will try to twist numbers to make it seem ok to tote around your assault weapons.

Hands are obviously the major problem. All we have to do is keep guns out of them and there will be no problem.

Thank goodness POTUS has the courage to take action without waiting for you NRA cult zombies to snap out of your trance.

He will prove the pen is more powerful than your guns.

      1. You can test Dave to see if he is serious. Just break his front door in at 2AM. (Make sure your plates are in.)

    1. Most of the time, I kill with my mind. Sometimes I use my fingers…close one eye and pinch their tiny little heads off.

    2. As a retired LE I know these numbers are cooked to provided cover for politicians, not at the FED level but for sure at the local level. I really have trouble believing there was only 600+ gang related killings in the US last year. It really boils down to what code is put in the Uniform Crime Report the FBI pulls this data from. I remember a certain city who sent their gun shot and beating victims to a hospital outside of the city so they only report and assault but the death is reported at the hospital not in the city’s jurisdiction. Of course all run by democrats.

      1. Are you saying those dumocraps would intentionally lie to deceive us? My, My, liars and tigers and bears!

  2. “Thank goodness POTUS has the courage to take action without waiting for you NRA cult zombies to snap out of your trance.”

9 out of 10 criminals that don’t give a shit about laws agree.

      1. I got the sarcasm ….I was adding to it.

        noob….jeezus I can’t remember the last time I was a new meat anywhere…but yeah

        fukkkit

          1. Whatever floats yer boat is fine, but I rarely respond even to those that hold tangible power over me, so don’t expect much by way of response time or results.lol

                  1. hmmm…didn’t do much for me four posts ago, but I’m warming up to it. Perhaps repetition is truly the key.

        1. Damn it man!!!!! Put the blame where it belongs, its Jonn’s fault for letting an asshole like me play with the other kids.

Just don’t let GDC start thinking about you, he will pull that Darth Vador bullshit.

            1. Check your PM, I sent some of your Midget Porn back.

I am taking the Soviet to the range in a minute. Going to air out the 45-70.

I am taking the 308 Magnum as well. Love to show these young guys what a real 308 is like.

If you don’t hear from me, at least warn her next ex. She only smiles because she is thinking about how to rip out your heart.

  3. I don’t have anything relevant to say about FBI statistics, however:

Thank You Jonn for putting up this thread as it bumped the picture of that smirk faced ass professor from Rutgers off the front page and into oblivion.

Now the Infallible One will have to search for her picture whenever he gets the urge to spank his monkey.

  4. The way that the gun grabbers would handle these statistics would be to add all the numbers in the 6 left most columns. So, we have:
    11,961
    8,124
    5,562
    248
    262
    2,052
    _______
28,209 Total, according to “their math”.
And even at that, they may want to add 10% for those that must have been left out.

  5. I wish the FBI would (just once) include deaths by poisoning and vehicles and cribs. Since they did include aggravated battery (hands, fists, feet), those others fit in somewhere.

I don’t think there’s a wide enough range in the statistics. But what do I kow?

      1. yep…the CDC will tell you a lot of the more obscure causes of death such as how many kids drowned in buckets or were strangled by curtain cords etc.

..also good people to just call if you have questions… I’ve used them quite a bit when researching topics.

    1. FBI does have MURDER by poison (7). It also appears that part of the chart with method not specified has been cut off that was just under 900.

    2. This is what I get for trying to read the tiny type in the tiny image. My bad.

There’s also death by truck, train and airplane. I feel these statistics are intentionally imperfect.

  6. These stats won’t list suicide, self-defense, police shootings or accidents either.

  7. Waiting to see an Executive Order outlawing “other”.

That looked pretty deadly to me. I’m locking up all of my others so no one can harm me with them. Must have a box or two…

  8. I’m all for them “doing something “, I just wish it was sensible, like getting out of the way of law abiding citizens protecting themselves and taking out the trash for good for good in the process.

That way we don’t have to worry about prison overcrowding, recidivism, POSs taking advantage of soft targets, etc. AND we get to have safe public areas again.

    But it’ll never happen.

  9. I didn’t bother with the link. Did the FBI lump “Hispanic/Latino” crime/murder in with “White” again so as to cook the numbers like they did last year?

  10. “FBI murder statistics”

I read that as subject-verb-object, thinking the typo was failing to use “murders”.
