Jason Scaletta guilty

Scaletta mugshot

Nearly a year ago, we busted this Jason Scaletta fellow for pretending to be a Ranger, a combat veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan. He claimed that he was wounded in his numerous deployments and suffered from PTSD as a result. The truth was that he’d spent a lot of time in the custody of the Maryland justice system, that he hadn’t even completed basic training before the Maryland National Guard divested themselves of him. Scaletta had convinced folks at Veterans Support Centers of America of his credentials with a forged DD214 certificate of discharge. When we busted him, VSCOA rode to his defense, tried to get one of our friends fired from his National Guard active duty job, not to mention the death threats.

Scaletta was arrested last Spring and he finally went to trial yesterday according to WBOC;

It took a jury in Wicomico County a little more than a half hour to decide that 34-year-old Jason Scaletta was not a military veteran and was guilty of the crimes he committed while representing himself as someone who has served his country.

Scaletta was found guilty Tuesday night of theft of more than $1,000 but less than $10,000 along with possession and use of false government identification. Scaletta was arrested back in June after a police investigation revealed that Scaletta was saying he was a military veteran in order to receive benefits that he was not otherwise entitled too.

Here’s the part that that makes me mad. Jerry Black, the CEO of VSCOA, and his attack dog, George Mutter, defended Scaletta and did their best to discredit us, but you wouldn’t think so by reading the article;

Black says after Scaletta’s arrest, his organization took a hit in the community.

“So it was really important for me to carry this all of the way through. To come here and testify today. Even though this wasn’t about the dollars for us because we weren’t defrauded. St. James Church was. It was about getting our reputation, setting the record straight. When we did find out who this man was, we went and made sure that he was prosecuted,” Black told WBOC after the verdict was read on Tuesday night.

Yeah, the day after Scaletta was busted by Law Enforcement, he was scheduled to have a press conference, sponsored by VSCOA, to unveil a new forgery of his DD214 to discredit our research on his military career. Jerry Black acted like Scaletta’s phony career was a big surprise to him on the day of his arrest (initially on the charge that he was a felon in possession of a firearm) when in fact, he knew six months previous that Scaletta was a liar, but did everything in his power to hide that fact from the public.

Scaletta is supposed to be sentenced today.

WBOC-TV 16, Delmarvas News Leader, FOX 21 –

UPDATE: Ten years! Now that sends a message!

Another article about the sentencing.

And while Scaletta spoke in his defense before sentencing asking for mercy, Beckstead did not comply with the request.

The judge sentenced the Nanticoke man to 10 years in prison.

“You had the opportunity of rehabilitating yourself and being honest,” [Wicomico County Circuit Court Judge Kathleen Beckstead] said. “You chose not to do that before you got caught.”

  1. ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST! 😀 It also looks like “Squash Head” Scaletta is going to have to bite his pillow every time Bubba, Thor or anyone else in his cellblock comes in dry! 😈

    1. That will not happen. Jerry Black is a spineless SOS and he will continue to ignore that TAH and company had it right. Black will crawl under a rock now and pretend like none of this ever happened.

    2. Long time, no see, Jane!

Yeah, assclowns like Black and Mutter will go to their graves rather than admit wrongdoing or even that they were duped (or both.)

In the words of Cartman, “Fuck these guys.”

  2. In the spirit of the upcoming Star Wars movie:

Bite your pillow you will. Going in dry I am.

  3. Discredit TAH? Nothing new here. It’s on the same level as blaming someone else when you get caught with his wallet, isn’t it?

    1. It seems that trying to discredit TAH is about as bright and brilliant as suing it! 😀

  4. Funny it only took 30 minutes for them to deliberate. It is good to see local DAs going after these clowns. Job well done brother thanks for posting this.

    1. 30 Minutes? Let’s see, 5 minutes to file out of the courtroom and over to the jury room. 10 minutes to get everyone’s bathroom break out of the way, 5 minutes to find their chairs, 10 minutes to bullshit and vote. I hope a bailiff made coffee before the jury got to the room.
And, 10 years? See ya, Jason, say “hi” Bubba, Thor, Julio and Tyrone.

    1. To continue:

      Jason-boi is going to jail

      He’ll eat nasty food
      Maybe get lice
      But that’s what you get
When you steal once or thrice

      Jason-boi is going to jail

Make “friends” with Thor and Bubba
      And also Julio
      That friendship might be handy
When they pimp you out you know

      Oh

      You better not pout
      You better not cry
      You better not scream
      They’re all such “good guys”

      Jason-boi is going to jail

  5. One plead GUILTY, another one gets convicted after little more than thirty minutes of Jury Deliberation, it’s getting to be a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS season!!! 😀 😀 😀 😀

  6. Maybe it’s the time of year giving me pause for some reflection on the year that was, but seeing all of these people wasting so much time and energy on their lies seems just sad and somehow pathetic…

I’m glad he was caught and stopped before harming anyone else with his con games, it just seems a depressing waste of time to invest all that energy in lies.

I’m no paragon of virtue by any method of calculating such things, but it seems such a simple thing to tell the truth whatever that happens to be and stick to it because it’s so much easier to remember one thing instead of the multitude of mistruths that so many of these guys tell. Their undoing seems to be the inability to stop lying about easily verifiable things like when and where they served.

Records of military service for anyone serving after 1965 seem to be pretty easily verified, especially after the computer age started…it just makes no sense to me.

    Fucking dumbasses…

  7. Jason… hope you have a big appetite for occkmeat sammiches and tube steak, because it looks like that’s gonna be on the menu for you for a while. Say “hello” to Bubba, Thor, Julio and “Mr. Tiny” for us, will you?

As for Mutter and Black – your organization deserved to take the hit after you were told about your buttbuddy Jason, and you still defended him. You’re both stupid for doing what you did and paid a price. FUCK. YOU. AND. YOUR. ORGANIZATION.

  8. ding ding. ding…….
another ass clown down enjoy the bob wire hotel, you blue waffle, or should I have said twat waffle.
and as far as the so called vet group if you use your fourth point of contact to handle stuff like this
then maybe you should find a different job. I’m only speaking for me but we Vets are feed the F$)( UP
    with folks like you

    1. 10 years in Jessup, Eastern Shire, or any of the other fine MD institutions.

      He’s gonna be hating life.

      1. That’s a lot of:

        1. Cockmeat sammiches with manmayo
        2. Tube steak
        3. “Toss my salad, bitch”
        4. “Bite the pillow, I’m goin’ in dry”
        5. Anal dilation therapy sessions with Dr’s Thor, Bubba, Julio and Mr. Tiny
        6. Tryouts for the football team – he’ll be a first string “wide receiver” in no time.

          1. I just read that story from Lower Allen Township,PA.
Mutter got a refurbished 2009 Nissan Altima.
He claims yet to be in the rescuing dogs/training them to be service dogs/giving them to vets and first responders line of work.

    2. He’ll have plenty of time to swap spit in the shower with Bubba & Thor before they share him with the cell block! 😈

  9. I am SO skeptical of charities claiming to help Vets anymore it’s not even funny! Some of my family have said they want to help with some charity doing dogs for Vets and I damn near blew a blood vessel in my head when they told me, I’ve just seen too damn many roach turds like Scaletta and Gimbl…

    1. I agree. 90% of Vet charities are crap. so much of the money given DOESN’T go to actual vets or go to benefiting them. It goes to salaries and expenses(I’m looking at YOU WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT!!) or in people’s pockets.

If you want to give where it will do vets some REAL good (IMHO) go here….

  10. Another article about the sentencing.

“You had the opportunity of rehabilitating yourself and being honest,” [Wicomico County Circuit Court Judge Kathleen Beckstead] said. “You chose not to do that before you got caught.”

    1. “Although the jury was not asked to consider the alleged theft from the Veterans Support Centers of America in Quantico because of Scaletta’s status there as a paid employee, organization founder and director Jerry Black still stayed to the end of the trial to hear the verdict.”

So Jerry Black was “Squash Head” Scaletta’s enabler and butt-pal until the end.
FUCK. HIM and his fellow slug snot-headed inbred booger-eating spandex-staining Swamp Donkeys.

      1. Let me restate the following for Jerry Black and George Mutter, enablers of their buttbuddy Jason

        FUCK. YOU.

  11. Isn’t ten years a little much?

Absolutely not. Maybe he could use these next ten years to tell everyone how he was deployed to Syria for the last ten years when he gets out.

    1. On his vet friends page he wrote his rank as “E6 ssgt” the guy didn’t even take the time to learn how to properly abbreviate SSG and wanted to claim he was in SF, what a clown. I bet he told people the type of rifle he carried was a sniper.

      1. THAT or he’ll run around blabbing that he was a CIA sooperdooperseekritskwirrel Laser Sniper or some shit like that!

    2. IIRC Fuck-face was looking at three different charges of fraud and two instances of falsifying documents.
Looks like the DA let him slide on two of the fraud charges and 1 of the document charges.
I just read over some of the state guidelines for prisoners getting their sentences reduced. They can get it reduced by Good Conduct (5 days earned per month) Taking an educational course (5 days) Working in the prison (5 days) or participating in a special project/study within the prison system (10 days).
However there is a limit of 20 days per month he can earn.
IF he manages to get the full 20 days per month (which isnt likely as there are lulls in some programs He would do 3 years and 4 months.
My guess is he will do between 4 and 5.
One thing that irks me is even though the media covered it as him being convicted of Stolen Valor, he was never charged with it.
He could have gotten another year tacked on, but fuck it right? Federal prosecutors are too busy to handle a slam-bang case.
      Lazy fucks.

  12. Yesterday, I wrote to the prosecutor, Ella Disharoon, to thank her for her hard work and diligence in this matter. She answered back;

    Dear Mr. Lilyea,

I have no military background but I have the greatest respect for soldiers and veterans and what Jason Scaletta did is completely deplorable and I was grateful that he was convicted.

He was sentenced to 10 years in prison this morning but I have no doubt he will be out at some point in time defrauding people once again.

Thank you for your service to our country and I am glad that I can make a small difference.

    Sincerely,

    Ella Disharoon

    1. What gets me is there was the Federal SV charges that would have taked on another year, asnd they didnt bother.

      1. I guess we can find solace in the fact that he was busted because of his stolen valor, just not punished for it. I hear that there are federal charges to come.

        1. Actually, if what we heard originally is correct I hope the Federal authorities offer ol’ “Jase” a deal. Word was that someone IVO Fort Bragg was producing high-quality fake DD214s. If Scaletta knows who that is and is willing to cooperate, burning the low-life a-hole producing them might be worth cutting him a break in exchange for testimony – if he can help put the guy in jail, of course.

          1. Hmmm, I wonder if it’s SFC Coombs, the Walmartian phony, who is churning out the fake DD214’s?

Wouldn’t that be a kick in the ass if ole Jase rolled over on the Walmartian?

  13. From a comment made somewhere else;

I was in prison in Hagerstown maryland with jason.(guy in the middle) and I am a usmc veteran he was still talking crazy stuff, saying he was a special forces operator for the army, and I’m not no intelligence guru but I could tell something was off. so I got one of the guards to look his name up for me on here. And let’s just say for all the valor he stole he got 10 times the ass whippin. Semper fi. He would even fall down on the ground when a loud noise went off and get into the prone pretending like he was in a fire fight. like he makes me sick. Thank you for allowing us to see the truth in people, for the real operators and people really fighting for our freedom.
