A man asked two people whether they were Muslims before stabbing them at a Southfield bus stop on Saturday, the victims told police.
We already have some radical Islamists among us today. And with the current naïve DC clown krewe’s Administration’s proposal to quadruple the number of refugees from Syria admitted to the US, we’ll almost certainly only see more such incidents.
Sheesh. We seriously need some adult leadership in DC.

Sadly the GOP doesn’t seem able to get out of its own way in producing a candidate who can speak eloquently to the voters in the center of the electorate.
Republicans lately don’t even seem to be in control of their message. They need to rethink their platform strategy or be prepared to have HRC as their new opposition president in 2017.

Sorry I can’t just jump to the conclusion that this is violent Islamic extremism on the basis in of the evidence in the news reports. (I am NOT saying it isn’t a viable hypothesis and may turn out to be such a case.) Rather I just can’t rush to judgment based on the first rough draft of history.
Notably absent in the news stories I’ve seen is what is Thomas’s actual religious beliefs or what was said after the men said they weren’t muslims and before the stabbing.
At least one news story headlines this as a possible hate crime against Muslims. (that was Fox news BTW). The police officers are using the term that the attacker was “possibly unstable.”
Before I can call this a jihadist zebra I need to rule a more run of the mill horse of a mentally unstable individual unmotivated by religious zeal.
If we withhold judgment on the chapel hill shooting motive because the evidence is unclear, logic dictates that the same rules apply to this case.
Least anyone go all hysterical on my post. I do believe violent extremism is and ought to be a major security concern. But I’d like to buttress my argument with cases that will stand up to scrutiny – and there are plenty of them.

Did he stab them because they WEREN’T Muslims and he is or because he thought they were and were lying to him about it ? Does it say where the stabber was Muslim ?

Unfortunately, the original linked article appears less than complete. The perp indeed claimed to be Muslim after being apprehended. The newly linked article is more complete and indicates that fact.

Police said that when they answered “no” when the guy asked the victims if they were Muslim, he started stabbing them. Pretty clear to me.
Hate crime? If I did the same thing when they said “yes”, you betcha. Attacking non-muslims? Not in today’s PC environment.
You have to be the RIGHT KIND of victim, to be a victim. Otherwise it doesn’t count.

Yes we welcomed folks in generations ago who were poor and wanted to work with a capital W. People who simply wanted a free place to live their lives and be, now get this, “AMERICANS”. Though some never acquired the language and education to become citizens themselves, as well as for working long hours at any work they could get to support their families, they made damned sure their children and grandchildren did. Plus, back then nothing was “bilingual” in schools. It was immersion plain and simple. You learned English by using it. You assimilated into America and became an American, while holding your own heritage proudly intact. But American, first and foremost.
To the point, now we have become so touchy feely and non-offensive that most everywhere signs from on the highway, to the local stores are English/Spanish. Schools have bilingual programs and if Juan doesn’t get it, his parents show up and the first thing they do (though they speak English well) is demand an interpreter. Why? Because they can and it further mucks up the system and costs the tax payers in my state shit loads of money for contract interpreters to be available. It’s their way of saying fuck you, I’m here, I’m on welfare and Juan will be too so get use to it. On the other hand are the ones who demand Juan go to school to learn and get an education, more so than many “privileged liberal” whites. And that Juan, is far more apt to be valedictorian than little Johnny.
Now comes the Muslims from any nation but we are talking about Syrians. One in a thousand will appreciate the chance to be here and use the resources available to them. The rest will be pushing and pulling their 6 kids through the aisles of the store along side the Russians, Nigerians, you name ’em their here and then using their EBT cards for me and you to pay for their existence. No one will ever say, “this help is for a short term until you get on your feet and find work. After one year it goes away and you will need to be self sufficient.” Shit no! My state already recognizes and accommodates 99 languages in state offices for interpreters and state documents they have to fill out and it is growing. NINETY FUCKING NINE LANGUAGES!!! Some my wife who has worked for the state 28 years has never heard of until they waltz in for assistance with one who speaks passable English and again, DEMAND an interpreter. Because the most used of the 99 languages are listed on the walls of state offices in verbiage for each that says if you need an interpreter just ask for one basically.
Okay now, back to the Syrians really. All this added to the fact that they are an unknown quantity. How better to further existing terrorist cells in America and establish new ones than to bring in a thousand or three, mixed in with the regulars? Background checks? Please. You think it’s hard keeping track of illegal aliens using phoney social security numbers, think how hard it will be to look at phoney papers from Syrians and say who is who. Plus for all I know the Syrian government is pulling a Castro on us by getting rid of the worst of their worst while they can.
My answer of course is to “just say no” (thank you Nancy Reagan for kicking off a war on nothing that has stopped nothing and cost billions, but I digress.) Just tell the fuckers NO. Find a Muslim nation and go there. Have the UN in their uselessness pick a few local Muslim nations and parse them out. Why does the U.S. have to be the savior to every ass hole in the world? I say ass hole because the days of refuges and people wanting to come here to be true Americans, has long gone. They want to come here and be the worst of what they were at home but do it for free on MY FUCKING BACK and yours. So I say NO, tell the closet Muslim in the White House to go fuck himself.
