Steve Cushman; lying liar lies

Steve Cushman

We’ve talked quite a few times about Steve Cushman, the Airman 1st Class in the Reserves back in 1990 who is now running for County Commissioner in Wakulla County, Florida. This all began when he told a local newspaper that he had been a pilot for seven years in the Air Force, when that was obviously not true. Now in his latest morass of lies, he claims that he wasn’t an Air Force pilot (we knew that) but he was a pilot in the Air Force (WAAAAT?). From WFSU;

Its possible Cushman, who says he’s a licensed pilot, received his license in the [Air Force Indoctrination] program. It is also possible to be a pilot in the Air Force, but not be an air force pilot. Cushman says there are a lot of things that have been said, and reported about him that are wrong, and inaccurate. But he’s reluctant to set the record straight himself.

“And I have documents to back it up but I’m not going to give it to them. I want them to throw it out there, and then I want them to show the proof. When do people get smart enough and start asking, ‘okay, ya’ll keep making all these accusations, where’s the proof?”

Um;

Steve Cushman FOIA

So where is your proof, now Steve? You have Jack Shit.

On top of all of that crap, Cushman is also telling folks at home that he has the records of a real veteran who was injured after a little over a year in service and Cushman, the fellow with no real service beyond a year in the Reserves (and no basic training), is making fun of this guy who whose service was cut short by an injury. Because Cushman is a shitbag, through and through.

Cushman says he believes the attacks against him are political.

Really? What do I care, other than the fact that you’re a lying liar making veterans look bad, what with your back child support and phony college credentials. Steve Cushman is another gutless bully. The first words out of his mouth was that he was going to sue us, when I sent him our lawyer’s email, he shut up. He claimed that he never said that he was a pilot. When we showed him proof that he’d claimed it at one point on his Facebook profile, he shut up.

By the way, in Family Court, Cushman told the judge that he only had a few thousand dollars of income last year so he couldn’t afford to pay the $32,000 that he owes his ex-wife for child support. That’s not exactly true according to the financial disclosure form that he filled out for the Wakulla County election;

Don’t worry, I’ve put this information in the hands of people who needed to know about it.

Good luck tomorrow, Steve. I don’t know squat about Wakulla County, but I’m betting that folks don’t want to elect a known and proven liar for their County Commissioner.

  1. Man, I hope he’s defeated, but *sigh* it is Florida, and they can be downright wacky sometimes.

  2. Can’t afford to pay child support because he only had “a few thousand” in income?

    Um, Cushman . . . $97,500+ is a bit more than a “few thousand”.

    Between his election application and his testimony/affidavit to Family Court, methinks Cushie-boi here has just gone and f**ked himself. Judges don’t usually like being misled in sworn testimony or depositions.

    1. Don’t forget. It’s Florida. I do think your Hondo, I’ll leave you with this thought.

      Strong in Good Ole Boy Network is Florida.

      1. Maybe, Ex-344MP. But if I recall correctly, Cushman recently moved to Florida from Texas. Don’t believe he’s a native with longtime ties to the area.

    2. True, but remember it’s family court and judges there do dumb stuff. It’s turds like this guy and the judges that tolerate their bs that forced me to quit practicing family law.

      1. Tom Kapstron: I’ll take your word for that based on your experience. But it doesn’t surprise me.

        Still: I’m guessing even flaky family court judges get p!ssed when someone lies to them to their face. And when that happens, they’re often in a position to do something to get even. (smile)

        1. I’m not a lawyer – although I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once – but isn’t that legally called “perjury”? Or, as we laymen would say, he lied out his ass to a judge in court?

  3. “And I have documents to back it up but I’m not going to give it to them. I want them to throw it out there, and then I want them to show the proof.”

    Oh….that makes great political sense.

  4. Its possible Cushman, who says he’s a licensed pilot, received his license in the [Air Force Indoctrination] program.

    Ummmm… NO. The FAA Airman Inquiry page only shows Stephen Cushman (Qty. 1) and Stewart Cushman (Qty. 1). The FAA Registry does not show a Steven Cushman at all. So no ghost rider, you are not a licensed pilot.

    Did anyone else notice that his FOIA doc shows his middle initial as “D”. His Facebook work history shows his middle name as “Okada”. What’s up with that? Is that his “if I was Native American” name? In Japanese, Okada means “hill rice paddy”. Is he a rice paddy daddy? More and more I think the SOB is Chevy’s twin.

  5. Give him credit for one thing–he makes Psulie-boi’s income look like that of the neighborhood paperboy.

    Still ain’t gonna save his ass in court.

  6. I can assure you that a Family Court judge is one of the most vengeful individuals you will ever meet; typically. The few I’ve had the pleasure of testifying in front of (as an officer not a case party) did not take kindly to being lied to. I hope he doesn’t get elected and they take his ass to the poor house.

  7. My wife is a Support Enforcement Officer for our State. She LOVES finding dipshits like Cushman. No money? Well let’s see, uhm, no you have this, this and also this. So when their IRS refunds go to the State when he wouldn’t pay support and mom put child on welfare the debt is now owed to the state taxpayers. She will cease their accounts, lean their home and vehicle and 90% of the time, guess what. Dipshit shows up with a cashier’s check to pay the full amount so he can sell one of his cars of his house. Ass Holes.

      1. GDContractor…LMAO. Neither do I. Although Sparks is my screen name from a career, military and civilian in communications, Mrs. Sparks is a sweetheart and has worked hard at her job for 28 years. Not a day goes by she isn’t called every name in the book. Her office even has several “panic switches” direct to 911 which indicate, “send police ASAP”. What I like about her is when a person comes in wanting to do the right thing regarding their child support, she’ll bend over backwards to accommodate and help them. But if they are a Cushman type who work under the table, hide their assets (they love putting everything in “momma’s” name), they’re the ones she focuses on. 90% comply and are no problem the other 10% are the problem folks who consume 90% of her time. It is shameful to me that a highly paid person, 40 something years old, who gets $30 to $100 thousand or more in arrears on their support will come in with their “momma” and momma will write a check to pay their support off. Why? So they sell their boat that has a lean against it, so they can buy…a bigger bass boat! It’s not just men either. Some of the worst offenders and hardest to collect from are women who gave custody to dad and will not pay their support owed. Their attitude is often, “I gave birth to those kids, why should I have to pay for them!?” But as a percentage the women, non custodial parents are in the minority. Sorry for the long post. I just admire my wife for what she does. By the way, her’s is the ONLY agency in the state which brings owed revenue back into the state coffers, which are not taxes. I could not do her job. I’d beat “seven shades of shite” out of the first person who called me a blank, blank, blankety blank across the counter, to my face.

        1. Hiding assets? Putting their shit in their wives name? Trying to establish residency in Florida? Threatening lawsuits?

          What kind of a brain dead fucktard would do such a stupid thing?

    1. A buddy of mine in Florida told me that one’s driver’s license can be suspended for nonpayment of Child Support (According to some accounts, getting one’s DL reinstated after a DUI is easier than doing so for CS suspension). Being less than that far behind on CS payments is also an arrestable offense there!

      1. A Proud Infidel®™…Yep, that is absolutely true in this state too. In fact that’s how many get caught, go to jail and their car impounded. Pulled over for a tail light or anything and even though they have been notified by registered mail and personal service of license suspension, the officer runs it and bingo. Off they go to stand tall before the man for driving on a suspended and failure to pay child support.

  8. I can’t wait to watch this fuckstick crash and burn and then we can revel in karma coming back and not only biting him in the ass but ripping his ass clean off and making a buffet out of it.

    1. You mentioned oyster farming. That made me think of the oyster, which made me think of Jerry Plunkett (Jimmy Cagney) who pronounced the word “erster” in a movie. The movie was The Fighting 69th. And that’s how I came to post the trailer for that movie. The mind is a terrible thing. The End.

  9. Once again, scratch a poseur, find all sorts of other shit underneath.

    But go ahead and keep trying to claim Stolen Valor is “victimless”, trolls. As we’ve seen over the last several years, there’s almost ALWAYS other shit going on.

  10. A politician lies about stuff? Oh, come on! How is that news???

    Where I live, someone has been sending out robocalls to over 6000 election judges to tell them they are properly trained to work at the polling places tomorrow. That’s completely illegal.

    Cushman is an amateur compared to this bunch of scum.

    1. ‘ to tell them they are properly trained’ should read ‘ to tell them they are NOT properly trained’.

      Fat fingers typing again.

        1. Not what I’m looking for. I think there is a line from an old Roman-type gladiator movie involving oysters in a Phildo-esque context….

  11. What’s needed after these elections are over is one site covering all of them.

    Cushman; Flemrod; and Gil. Did I leave anyone out?

    1. Well, at least the Honorary Air Force Pilot was able to lock in that key phony veterans demographic. Next stop, Merrit Island.
