Army warns that the war may have followed the troops home

According to Catherine Herridge, at Fox News, the Army is warning servicemembers to “be vigilant” after the Islamic State folks issued orders to their foot soldiers to “slaughter” them in their homes;

The assessment, obtained by Fox News, came from the Army Threat Integration Center which issues early warnings of criminal and terrorist threats to Army posts worldwide.

The advisory warns military personnel and their families about the Islamic State, or ISIS, calling on supporters to target their homes.

While there is no independent intelligence to corroborate the ISIS threats, the bulletin recommends more than a dozen precautions to military personnel to protect their homes — and their online profiles.

“Given the continued rhetoric being issued by ISIL’s media services and supporters through various social media platforms the ARTIC is concerned of the possibility of an attack,” the bulletin says. “Soldiers, Government Civilians and Family Members are reminded to be vigilant of their surroundings and report suspicious activities to their respective military or local law enforcement.”

I’m pretty sure that is an ill-advised course of action for those Islamic State folks. I’m pretty sure that a soldier defending his family and his home isn’t restricted by those pansy-assed rules of engagement that restrained him in Afghanistan or Iraq.

  1. When this was first mentioned a few weeks back, the news organizations poo-poo’d it as not being news worthy. I guess Fox finally thought otherwise. Hmmm.

      First of all, you want to get info out of the targeted jihadi in regard to how many more there are.

      Second, if you aim properly, the blood supply to the femoral amd/or crotch area will eventually completely bleed out.

      Third, the targeted jihadi will likely be unable to walk, run or even hobble. That gives you time to pump a few more rounds and ask him – again – how many more there are like him in the immediate vicinity.

      Then you can kill him.

      2. Well, I was visualizing a lot about what to do if the local Walmart was invaded by skanks with guns when I was there. Aside from calling the cops and asking for a LOT of them, I would head straight for the cooking stuff section. Why, you ask?

        I’m glad you asked.

        In the cooking stuff section, there are the following materials:

        cooking spray, with and without flour

        several kinds of sugars

        oils of all sorts, birthday candles

        flour, powdered sugar, and masa (corn flour), corn starch, baking soda

        common ingredients used in seasoning, such as vanilla (41% alcohol) salt, ground and powdered herbs, cooking wine, vinegar

        turky trussing sets

        cake/cupcake decorations – hard starch/sugar balls about 1/8 in in diameter

        In other places, raw chicken, bacon, sausage and other meats in packs. And of course, frozen cheesecake and creme pies.

        If you want to know why cooking spray is important, it is basically oil, with or witout flour added, with a propellant. Light a flame like a Bic lighter or a long butance lighter, spray the cooking spray just above the flame and you have a blowtorch or flamethrower.

        Sugar caramelizes and sticks when it burns and it is hotter than hell. Oil sprayed or spread on the floor will make it slippery. If you have the sense to have a pack of dental floss on you, you can use that as a trip wire, a truss for any nasty person you take down and stuff some raw meat into his mouth as a gag and tie it up with dental floss.

        Any powdered ingredient is flammable if handled properly. And flour, sugar, salt and masa thrown in someone’s face are irritants and difficult if not impossible to get rid of without eyewash.

        And cream pie? Need I answer that?

            The fire department in my home town came to my high school and gave us a demo on what happens when you spray that stuff with a lit cigarette in your mouth. It was impressive.

            I think that works with almost any aerosol, especially those that have flammable or particulate contents.

      3. I’ve heard *COUGH* rumors about some people here in the States that rub a dab or two of pork fat in the tips of the hollow-point rounds loaded in their Concealed Carry weapon. That, and there is a commercially availabe gun oil that is made with 13% liquefied oig fat, PERFECT for oiling a weapon in anticipation of having to use it on a muslim!

  10. The threat is far more real than you make it seem.

    There has been a significant uptick in events in the Southern California area.

    One attacker was described as “Somali”.

    ….and since we can’t carry on base, we are therefore denied the opportunity to carry while in transit to the bases. This has made it possible for several traffic “incidents” to occur (stop a red light, vehicle pulls up next to the military member, person gets out and tries to open the member’s door….member drives off and is followed).

      I actually do expect to see a Nairobi-type mall shooting some time in the future, here in the US, and no mall cop will be effective against it.

      And are my eyes fooling me or did you say that there have been incident–car jacking types or terrorism type incidents (no that someone could tell, I suppose)?

    4. This is enough to tell me that I’ll carry on base and fuck them if they wanna bother me about it. I’d rather get yelled at for carrying over the body of a dead terrorist, then carried because a terrorist got to shoot me because I’m unarmed.

    1. Considering that some drunk being chased by the local PD tried to ram him way thru the front gate at Great Lakes recently, despite being shot at by the on-duty Navy personnel, my guess is that they’d target that first, and go after the target the was they do over there in the ME.

      Not trying to be alarming, but they have a pattern.

  14. Now that Fox has picked it up long after any media should have, I suppose an attack on any base or service member and families will be Fox News’s fault. I think it sucks major canal water that troops are unable to defend themselves against an armed attacker unless they are security forces or military poleece. Hood, USNSY and several others come to mind…

      3. The sad thing is, the video of him being murdered is probably already in the can. I suspect that they have carried out several beheadings and just release the videos at certain times. I say that, because if you remember, they apologized for releasing the video early of the 2nd American murdered.

        I have said, in the past, that we are our own security force in this country. We need to watch our backs and watch the backs of our brothers and sisters. As always; we take care of our own.
