Wounded Veterans Working Westbay

Someone dropped off this link to Grunt Stuff’s Facebook Page of this fellow William Westbay who is the founder of Wounded Veterans Working and he seems to be collecting money;

Wounded Warriors Working

Here’s another one with his badges and stuff on the wrong side;

Michael Westbay wrong

Here’s a close up;

Michael Westbay wrong again

If I couldn’t read the name tags, I’d think it was taken in a mirror. But someone must’ve straightened him out;

Wounded Veterans Working Westbay (2)

So, I looked the organization up and found a phone number, but it went to vmail without identifying the organization. Mine does the same, but I’m not in a customer service business. Anyway, I left my number, after identifying myself and haven’t had a call back yet. So I mapped the address at the link above on Google Earth and it took me to a very nice residential neighborhood on Long Island, but it doesn’t look like corporate offices. And their Facebook page hasn’t been updated since last year. [Editor’s Note: Their Facebook Page just fell off the face of the Earth]

Wounded Veterans Working

I looked up Westbay on AKO, but there was no result on that search, not that it means anything. But I don’t see anything in the company bio that says that he was a veteran, and as badly as his uniform is set up above, I have to wonder.

  1. Two observations:

    1: His WVW logo looks ike a glaring ripoff of the WWP.

    2: Douchebag is rocking the tower of power SF/Airborne/ Ranger.

    1. I would not be surprised if this clown was not a member of WWP.

      They (WWP) really does not care as long as they get the numbers.

      1. If yall want a good vet charity, Forged is doing a Taya Kyle fundraiser right now. I just got the shirt I ordered from them today. 100% of profits go to who ever the person is they are doing the shirt sales for

      2. You got that right! WWP needs the numbers not only in warm bodies, but missing limbs, and horrific wounds to keep the largesse of their donations flowing and the corporate structure paid and compensated. Does it piss anyone else off that a great majority of their corporate structure is inhabited by the same hacks who fucked up the VA.

  2. In addition to the standard assbaggery, the emblem on the banner is copyrighted by the WWP. I doubt they would be inclined to let this guy use it for his “charity”.

    1. Hey, cav scout, don’t steal my name. Last person that pretended to be me is now known as “Bunny Love”

      1. Why do you think I added the 19D1OR4? lol. When I first started posting in here a couple weeks ago I was just using Smitty. Changed it when I saw others using it (assuming you were one of them).

        1. I’m the only one here that just goes by Smitty, well unless you count bunny love, but he just shows up posting gay porn links

  3. “In the future, we also plan to help male veterans. We do not discriminate against anyone.”

    Isn’t the above quote discriminatory? (Taken from the Wounded Veterans Working link above.

    I smell a really big rat..

    1. I noticed that RM- ”we help female veterans” yet it’s run by just this dude.

      He hoping for a dating service or something?

  4. I just checked the IRS website for eligible tax deductible charities.

    Surprise, not only is there NO charity listed at that address, there is no charity by that name period listed anywhere in the US.

    1. Also, I love on their “contact us” page where they list their hours as “24 hours a day, 7 days a week”. But you can only contact them between 5am to 7pm.

  5. I’m starting to get offended that these posers don’t even do basic uniform research before trying to pull their scams.

  6. Oh great, a posering scammer wearing a fucked-up clown suit..just the ticket to wrap up a busy work day…(sigh)…

  7. I am surprised that a real “quiet professional” has not come across these clowns and their little nick-knack table and confronted them.

    Can anyone get the names of the stores that these scam artist are setting up their table and shlepping from those civilian’s that do not know how to spot these ass clown’s?

  8. Their Facebook page http//www.facebook.com/dvport is I believe their Facebook page. Looks like the same clusterfuck. I ain’t buying what they are trying to sell. Lot of blurry I ages professing to be IRS and NY documents. No way to comment on the page. Thinking it is the same dude trying to cover his tracks now.

    1. Their FB page shit the bed earlier, I guess it was to put up all of that yammering. You’d think they’d find someone who can communicate effectively to update their FB. But I think their founder (William Westbay, the guy in the uniform) resigned, I guess they’ll have to move to someone else’s basement.

  9. Why does the female on the donation page have her eyes closed?

    I’d donate but I can decide if I want a gold or silver key chain that is worth “up to $5”. Decisions decisions.

  10. Let’s see… E7 rank, SF patch on the left, NO Combat Patch on the right, blouse collar fastened around his neck..

    I say he’s as 8TFU as a shit soup & sandwich in Somalia, and in the top pic he looks like he doesn’t know whether to breathe, fart, or shit himself!

      1. Yeah, he could also have been scared shitless about a real Vet spotting him in that excuse of a uniform and pounding his head inside out!

  11. From their Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/dpvport

    “we are sorry for all the trouble that was caused and our founder has stepped down the picture’s were from a year ago, we have talked to the us army. we will build homes for female veterans we are lic. by new york state #140805000653 501(a) and our federal tax id is 47-12000384. the mistakes made by founder were not meant to hurt any veteran and it will not happen again, we are going to live up to our word and our records will be open to the public, and our goal is in the coming months to buy homes and place female veterans in them, we will also open a food pantry to serve our veterans who are in need”

    Sounds like a real shoestring operation by a bunch of guys who haven’t a clue what they’re doing.

    1. While the “Wounded Warriors Working” is legally registered with the New York Sec. of State’s office, I find NO listing with the IRS with the given EIN, with the Albany or Lake Grove Address shown on their FB page documentation. No status listing as current, revoked or having filed a 990 form.

      I would take this to mean that they have an EIN, applied to the IRS for official nonprofit status, but have not yet received their IRS 501(c)(X) nonprofit designation letter. Hence, any donations made to this organization are NOT tax deductible until they receive the IRS designation letter.

      FYI, in normal times, it would take a year to get the IRS nonprofit designation letter, however, because of the IRS “scandal” of the last two years, the application may still be sittting in someone’s IN box waiting to be rubber stamped.

      1. Per the email quote above:
        “we are sorry for all the trouble that was caused and our founder has stepped down the picture’s were from a year ago”

        and the “Initial DOS Filing Date: JUNE 24, 2014” indicate they are either lying about the pictures, or soliciting money as a volunteer organization without the permission of the State of New York? This has got to be prosecuted.

        1. As I understand the rules, they can collect money but they have to disclose that their IRS 501(c)(x) designation is pending and any donations are not tax deductible.

    1. Interesting, he claims “Mercenary,Weapons, Sniper, etc., Weapons, Sniper, US Army, Recon”.

      I wonder if he has ANY Military knowledge other than the pictures he’s looked at in a Soldier of Fortune magazine?

      What a SHITBIRD!!

      1. He does have an impressive ability to make a SFC look like a PVT that has just received his initial issue at the reception station…

  12. Faker poser I chased one of these walking clusterfuckes out of my local Trader Joes, 1 week later he was at Safeway, i called the police, they came and I have not seen him is 3 weeks now. Fuckers like this really hurt legit people trying to help Vets. That little cocksucker didn’t even know what a CAC or OPSEC was, said all his missions were classified.

      1. This turd is one of those “classified” Sekret Skwirel Rangers. It says he used to work at “Ball Bags.” No doubt this guy is very experienced with balls, being an expert gargler.

        1. He has options, though.

          All-Points Logistics or Ambassador Worldwide Protection Agency (national and international).

          1. Talk about a Sophie’s Choice. I think that when he weighs his options, he will sign with FirstTech/FirsTech. They have a retirement plan of drinking yourself blind, then crashing your Jaguar into a bridge abutment at 100 MPH.

  13. Westbay or whomever is writing all these must be missing his pinkies. Because he obviously can’t find the Shift key for capitalization.

    1. Bobo…What a real dip shit this guy is. Again, this is what keeps from donations to a very few organizations which I can easily verify. These phonies outside the supermarket and strip malls are just scammers. The more money they are looking for, the worse they are at loading up on ass clowns like this guy.

      1. I only donate to “Wish for our Heroes” because I personally know the one of the higher ups and I have benefited from their services.

      2. In most instances in our house, if you can’t make it into the CFC book, you aren’t getting any of our cash.

  14. I’ll bet the clown never served a day in his life, is dumber than a box of hammers, and is nothing more than an underachieving pizza delivery driver, who’s attempting to boost his wounded ego by pretending to be something he never could be and never had the balls to attempt to be. Fucking loser.

  15. The “charity” has taken down it’s Facebook page. I’d hate to think that these were a bunch of guys, clueless maybe, but just a bunch of guys trying to do something good for veterans and got themselves mixed up with this Westbay turd.

  16. This idiot has nothing to do with WWP and they have been notified and will take legal actions against him.
