Wilfredo Gutierrez; Phony vet arrested

Wilfredo Gutierrez

Someone dropped this off on our Facebook page about Wilfredo Gutierrez, a phony vet who was arrested in Houston;

Officers say 26-year-old Wilfredo Gutierrez is not a licensed veterinarian, but has been acting as one for the last year. They say he operated a business, making house calls, treating dogs and cats, administering vaccines and, providing pet medications. It turns out Gutierrez worked as a vet tech at a clinic, which is how authorities believe he got a hold of the medications.

See what I did there? It’s too bad that prosecutors take this more seriously than phony veterans, though, isn’t it?

  1. ha! i love me a good pun in the morning!

    the problem is that the left loves animals while hating humans, so of course this is treated seriously.

    1. crewchief guy…Jonn got me too but you are correct. If it had been people he was practicing on, so what. But poor little, puppies and kittens, well PETA and the ASPCA and many others are there to protect them and push for prosecution.

    2. Well…I love my dogs more than most humans, but I did not think that would qualify me as a lefty.

  2. What, no Sniper qualified, SEAL trained, Special Forces/Recon claims??????? I am truly shocked!!!!

  3. Yea, got me too. Because of that phony vet line I first read that as “licensed veteran…” wondered at the audacity of someone claiming to be a licensed veteran… When I reread the article, my brain stumbled over the word veterinarian in place of “veteran” and realize there was too many syllables… (a true WTF moment…) Then slowed down to read more carefully… well done…

  4. Speaking of shitbags, I’m having trouble finding the post about Timothy Dorsey.

    Can someone link it to me here?

    (Interesting discussion going on here where I am…)

      1. Thanks, Hondo.

        It seems this story was published in the Marine Corps Times earlier this month, and folks at work are just now setting eyes to it. Passing the word.

  5. OK, so he was posing as a Small Animal Veterinarian, not say, one that goes to farms and ranches to take care of livestock, because that’s some very hard and dirty work sometimes!!
