Robert Howshar; Ghost recon

Robert Howshar

Scotty sends us his work on this Robert “Bobby Joe” Howshar fellow who claims that he was in Ghost Recon at the 5th Special Forces Group, but he can’t talk about it, well except on social media;

Robert Howshar claim

Of course, there’s no such thing as Ghost Recon, well, except for Tom Clancy’s video game. Mr. Howshar spent a year in the old 7th Infantry Division at Fort Ord, California and was discharged as an E-1, so that’s almost special forces material, eh?

Yep, it’s a stolen valor weekend bonanza, ain’t it?

  1. Ghost recon, huh???

Another video commando….he on the same “SF team” as Cody Sturmer??

    1. From the way he looks he might actually be sleeping with Cody Stermer.

      Shatbag losers.

  2. Ghost Recon is what the call the guy that crawls under the racks during field day to retrieve the ghost turds.

  3. Hey guys, leave him alone. I served on the “Haunted Tank”. (You gotta be old to get this one.)

    1. Wow, was that the Johnny Reb or Confederate Haunted Tank Comic? I hadn’t thought of that for a long time.

    2. Jeb, Arch, Slim….and memory fails me…..but I still have a few G.I. Combat comic books with them somewhere in a box….

      1. wow….blast from the past….I still have a few of those and some old “SGT ROCK” comics in my basement…

        1. I wonder if he repeatedly watches reruns of the old TV Show “COMBAT” as well for more stories to “bolster” his bogus career?

    3. I hadn’t thought of that comic in ages. I used to love reading it, along with the old Sergeant Rock comics. Anyone remember “The Unknown Soldier”?

      1. yes!…unknown soldier…gravedigger….SGT Rock….and I think even Jonah Hex was written by the same fella.

        Wow…I feel young again.

      2. I loved all those old comics. Used to be able to get a comic book, a soda and a candy bar for a quarter back then. Sigh.

My favorite, though, was “Johnny Cloud, Navaho Ace”. Flew a P-51 over Europe. Neat comic.

  4. Give the guy a break, it was just a simple typo. He meant to post he served in the Special Farces.

  5. Are we sure he didn’t say he served in the Special BUSES? What a Penile-shaped fungus-headed little marhmallow-assed care bear-hugger he is!!

  6. As a kid, I remembered going to Fort Ord with my aunt (her husband was a retired Coastie) to do a grocery run at the commissary. That was in 1981 or so. So that qualifies me to lay claim as a junior Delta SEAL Space Shuttle door gunner, right? 🙂

  7. More examples of our country’s best and brightest here !!!
Ghost Recon, I heard tales about them back in the big war. They were part of the brown boot army before Vietnam and operated in secret missions in North Korea after the Korean War.
They are the ones that discovered that North Korea is so poor they can’t even use corn cobs for toilet paper.
So now they are using old Army Field Manuals left over from MASH filming there !!!

  8. Talking about Fort Ord:
Took Basic there in 1972, since then it has closed and converted to civilian use.

Revisited Fort Ord last year. Old Reception Station is now a shopping center like a thousand others. Remaining concrete and wood barracks are a wasteland. Covered with graffiti and every window broken…sad, sad, sad.

  9. I like this guy. Straightforward answers to questions few people on this website would be familiar with.

Hold on a sec. Ghost Recon or Toast Recon? I love me some toast. “Sprinkled Donut Recon” would be even better. I kill me the hell out of sprinkled donuts. A 58 days career in the US Army and surviving 8 conflicts does that to a man.

    sincerely

    John “Faker 6” Giduck

  10. Ghost recon? Is that term from some cartoon or something?

Howshar… feel free to imagine all sorts of military exploits in your imagination. But son’t be telling folks you did things in the military you didn’t, and that it’s all classified.
    This is just SO lame.

This site is proof that the lies come back to haunt a lot of fakes.
