The buzz is that Obama has struck a deal with Hillary Clinton. Insiders say that he has offered her the post of Secretary of State and she is apparently strongly considering it.
One source close to Hillary Clinton tells CNN that as of early yesterday, Senator Clinton had not been contacted by the transition team about a possible cabinet appointment. This same source tells CNN that Senator Clinton would not necessarily dismiss such an offer.
There are two good things if this appointment in fact happens:
1. It is not that damn fool John Kerry
2. Sec State is not in line for the Presidency
Hillary is not the worst choice Obama could make. She is very well known around the world and has a popular ex-President on speed dial. She is also very attuned to legacy and will not agree to lose a war on her watch.
First, WTF is up with all love? These people buddy-fukked each other over and over and now we’re supposed to believe they can all get together and run our Country? Somebody bring me a beer, a shot, and a weapon to play with.
I’ve been listening to the talking heads all day yapping about how qualified she is, after they spent the whole primary talking about how unqualified she is. And an ex-president on speed dial is no good if he won’t pick up. But, yeah, it’s a better choice than Horseface.
I does get Hitlery out of the picture for the 2012 election. This Obama Presidency has the potential to be the second term of Jimmy Carter. Remember that Ted Kennedy challenged Carter in the 1980 Democrat primaries. Having Hitlery as his Secretary of State would effectively remove the threat of her challenging the “One” in 2012.
Secretary of State is FOURTH in the presidential line of succession. Why don’t you think before you speak or blog?
I agree with John Lilyea about how the fuckin’ media is yappin’ about how qualified she is, how she’s a “beloved figure in the world” and “extremely knowledgeable about all the issues.” Except that I see it as a Clinton supporter and I want to know how they can say one thing during the primaries and then turn around and rave about her now. This just goes to show how much bullshit voters lapped up during their anti-Clinton hysteria (cough sexism) during the primaries.
