Taco Bell busts phony at MyServicePride

You’ll notice the ad to your left from MyServicePride for buying stuff decorated with your awards that you earned from your service. Every time he advertises with us, I buy something. But you can see that it could attract phonies, too. Our buddy, Bob Massie, who runs the joint, sent Taco Bell after one such fellow who wanted a display with the following mess;

March-Poser-Rack

The guy, Taco calls him “Super Marine”, is a used car salesman. So Taco started researching the guy and couldn’t find anything about him so finally he called Super Marine.

I let him tell me about how he was a POW, got all these awards and retired as a Marine Corps full Colonel after 31 years. There was a Linkedin profile for that name listing every op that the Corps has fought in since Vietnam. I mean this guy claimed it all.

The funny thing is as I spoke to him, I ran down each op that was on this profile (no photo though) and he confirmed Yes to them all and here they are for you to see along with all of his MOS’s down below.

About a week after that phone call, I phoned again to put him on notice to take down the Linkedin site or provide proof of service. He said he would. Well, he didn’t and a few days later I called him at his car dealership in NJ where he is a used car salesman. He was actually very surprised that I had tracked him down at his work and asked “How did you find me here?” I replied “it’s called the internet you dipSh**”

Mr. Super Marine didn’t like my approach and denied all of it. I thought that was funny since I taped the whole conversation.

You can hear the recordings at Bob Massie’s blog. Neither Taco nor Bob give the guy’s name, but I don’t mind. He claims to be a retired Marine Colonel Thomas Johnson. His LinkedIn profile is still posted, but it’s locked up – an intelligence officer who is undercover as a used car salesman in Union, New Jersey.

Taco sent one of his agents to his place of business to see if he has these lies posted in his office, apparently he doesn’t. That’s probably why he was trolling MyServicePride, to spruce up his office with his phony finery.

  1. Per the usual script, this POS is probably a USMC bootcamp reject who now wants to relive the career he never had and be the Smedley Butler of his generation…

  2. Hey, he just wants it so he can “honor” veterans who’ve served…….
    ‘tard

  3. Kudos to Bob Massie for not just taking the assholes money and forgetting about it!! Willing to bet there are a few “businesses” out there who do not give a damn who they sell wha tto.

  4. Damn things are popping out of the woodwork like cockroaches these days!!

  5. I know everyone will be just shocked, shocked to hear this – but there’s no “Johnson, Thomas” listed on DoD’s list of returned POWs from SEA. In fact, no one from the USMC with the last name of “Johnson” is listed as being a returned POW from SEA.

    http://www.dtic.mil/dpmo/vietnam/reports/pmsea_returnee.pdf

There’s also no “Johnson, Thomas” listed as having escaped from enemy captivity in SEA, either. In fact, no one with the last name “Johnson” is listed as having escaped from enemy captivity in SEA.

    http://www.dtic.mil/dpmo/vietnam/reports/pmsea_escapee.pdf

He’s also not listed among those unaccounted for in SEA – in fact, no one with the last name “Johnson” is on that list, either.

    http://www.dtic.mil/dpmo/vietnam/reports/documents/pmsea_una_p_state.pdf

Finally, there is no one with the last name of “Johnston” or “Johnstone” who served in the USMC that was ever MIA or POW in SEA but was later accounted for (escaped, returned, remains recovered or returned).

    http://www.dtic.mil/dpmo/vietnam/reports/documents/pmsea_acc_p_name.pdf

Bottom line: this guy is simply a lying bastard – which we all knew the second we saw that absurd rack. He was never a POW. Period.

Then again, he is from north NJ, just west of NYC. We see lots of idiocy from that region. Must be something in the water.

    1. Do you suppose any of those “POWs” were actually incarcerated at Long Binh Jail?

  6. My favorite line from Taco’s brilliant entry:
“I mean, I should have been eating in a Chow hall named after this guy.”

    1. Chow hall hell. After reading his Linked-In profile, they’re going to rename Camp Pendleton AND Camp Lejeune after this stud. Probably rename the mascot (Chesty XIII) after this guy. Or at least what Chesty XIII leaves on the ground….

  7. Taco…just for that, I ordered another mug from you! Keep up the good work. Friggin’ hilarious…”should have eaten in a mess hall named for him”.

  8. For those of you who don’t have a Linked-In account, here are his claims via cut and paste. Enjoy, but sorry about the length. Oh, and Ex-PH2, have fun with the translations.

    Summary

I am a strategic and creative thinker, introspective, yet always decisive. I’m a builder of leaders and teams. I am a competent full-spectrum warfighter. The word “quit” isn’t included in my extensive vocabulary. “Quiters never win; and, winners never quit!” I’m skilled in governance, statesmanship, and diplomacy. I have a keen appreciation for (and indepth understanding of) cultural context and how to work effectively across it. I’m tenacious, fiercely loyal, and an incurable optimist. I am a third-generation US Marine who came out of the womb “thinking outside the box” and emersed in the principles of “task organization.” The leadership traits and principles that are inherent aspects of my persona, were drilled into my psyche before I ever raised my right hand and swore that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the lawful orders of the President of the United States and the lawful orders of the officers and officials appointed over me, according to regulations and US laws and the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

    Team Leader
    National Joint Terrorism Task Force

    March 2011 – September 2012 (1 year 7 months)
When thinking about successful organizations, everyone knows about the US Navy & Marine Corps FA-18 Flight Demonstration Squadron, the BLUE ANGELS – who have taken on the mantra of being “Ambassadors of Good Will.” Their decades long history (since 1946) of consistantly building upon a solid track-record of amazing successful achievement can be broken down to a four-step process:
    • BELIEF LEVEL – with vision and clarity they sustain growth in a high level of belief in four areas: their PROCESSES, their PRODUCT(S), their PEOPLE, and their PURPOSE.
    • BRIEFING – they’ve compiled a detailed PLAN, every part of which contains inherent FOCUS on the end result and is COMMUNICATED succinctly as possible, in clear and understandable terms.
    • CONTRACTS – every member of their team has a high level of TRUST in the competencies of their fellows, is committed to the flawless EXECUTION of their assigned tasks, and holds a strong sense of COMMITMENT to their mission.
    • DEBRIEFING – after every “performance” – regardless of it being a rehearsal or one of the over 70 air shows performed before millions of spectators every year – every member of the team, without regard to rank or experience level differences, acknowledges mistakes that they’ve made and clearly states the corrective actions that they will take to eliminate the possibility of repetition of those errors.
With each and every subsequent DEBRIEFING – which assesses their strengths and weaknesses, fosters discipline both individually and collectively, and instills a high level of accountability – the BELIEF LEVEL of the team members in themselves and in each other grows ever greater, liberating them to attain increasingly higher levels of competency individually and continually exceed previous expectations together as a team.
Members of the BLUE ANGELS are constantly heard saying: “I’m happy to be here.” They’re all enthusiastically committed to continuous exemplary performance of their assigned tasks.

If you can’t speak your adversary’s or ally’s language or read his newspapers, magazines, and correspondence – you can’t:
    1) communicate effectively
    2) appreciate his/her perspective
    3) earn his/her respect
    4) foster and nurture a mutually advantageous relationship
The “bully pulpit” of superior might will win battles; and, sometimes it will win wars. But, to peacefully coexist after the smoke clears, the bodies are buried, and the scars of war are erased from the landscape – effective communication is essential.

Activities and Societies: If you can’t communicate, what are the prospects for crisis intervention and management? How will you prevent confilcts? Conflict management and resolution isn’t possible without communication. Common sense dictates that effective communication is indispensable. Unfortunately, “common sense” has become an increasingly rare commodity, eclipsed only by life and health on the “value scale.”

    1. Oblig…..

      1) WALLOTEXT!!!!!

      2) TL:DR

      3) No you can’t have a Ballduster McSoulpatch Memorial Stolen Valor Tournament Trophy, NOT YOURS

    2. Well, cut and paste certainly does seem to be the way he built his linkedin profile…

    3. All this and only a used car salesman?

At least all this BS will be easy to invalidate.

    4. DAY-UM!! Forget the Scotts, let me put this high grade fecal fertilizer in my garden!

    5. Interesting that he claims to have been at “Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB)” from June 2004 to June 2009.

Prior to 1 Oct 2010, JBAB didn’t exist. Before 1 Oct 2010, the activity to which he claims assignment from June 2004 to June 2009 was on an installation called “Bolling AFB”. Bolling AFB and NSA Anacostia merged on that date to form JBAB.

    6. “So sirs, with my resume before you for your consideration, I feel I bring a lot to the table. Your table and mine. Therefore I look forward to the opportunity to sell used cars at your dealership. A flagship car lot among car lots with one of the best and most debriefed inventories of used cars in town. Also I love your radio and billboard ads. So how ’bout it…minimum wage to start and a 5% commission on everything I move? What do ya say, huh, when can I start boys?”

    7. He left out his membership in the Radio Shack Battery Club, and that last night he stayed at a Holiday Inn Express.

    8. My money says that anyone who was linked (on LinkedIn) to this high speed mofo is most likely a poser as well. I wouldn’t be surprised if he is a member of a consortium, if ya know what I mean.

    9. I have to say his Russian and his German are pretty close, but i’m sure he was just plagiarizing from a book.

      Ich spreche deutsch!

      Ya Govarite pa ruskiy!

give me this cocksucker’s business phone and I will act like i’m interested in buying a car of course I will convey this message in one of his claimed “tactical languages”.

Also I think it should be mentioned that the language is called Farsi not Persian and Pashto not Pashtu.

Also He only claims Operation Desert Storm but on his service pride chart he is claiming 1 silver campaign star on his South West Asia Service Medal which would only be 1 bronze campaign star. Only three were authorized for that ribbon.

His resume is somewhat impressive if only an eight of it was true. He did some research and plagiarized a lot, but more importantly he stole so much.

I’m not even going to get on the subject of his 14 CARs, his 7 BSM w/V device, or his holy fuck batman 8 Purple Hearts. Even at the very least I think he really fucked up on his campaign awards. His Kosovo Service Medal is lacking a campaign star. Also last time I checked the Kosovo NATO Medal cannot be worn with a NATO Medal for service from FYROM= That is Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. but that is just what I remember.

      fuck this guy!

  9. Really I’m impressed. He can speak 7 languages and has a Masters and still sells used cars. Gee…must be undercover, working some kind black ops for the Girl Scouts or Capt Crunch. This is one bad…..MoFu.

    1. Got him beat – here is BULLSHIT in eight languages:

      Baliverne – French
      Scheiß – German
שטויות, בבל’ט, זיבולי מוח – Hebrew
      pissprat – Norwegian
      ерунда – Russian
      skitsnack – Swedish
      בולשיט – Yiddish
      Bzdury – Polish

      1. throw in the Spanish mierda, Czech hovno, Irish shyte, and I always heard French was ‘merde’.

  10. With a rack that big he’d need an outrigger just to stand up straight. What a dickwad!

  11. He must be really tall, else that rack would run over the shoulder and half way down his back.

  12. He’s a spy! A spy I tell you.
With a rack like that he must be from Norkieland.

  13. LtCol(not)PhD(not) Chevy is going to be pissed off that this guy out bullshitted him. But then, he’s not a Mesna.

  14. Reminds me of the character in True Lies that was trying to get Ahnolds woman. Too bad the same can’t happen to this guy that happened in the movie.

  15. Time trot out my comment earlier this week from the Round Marine thread, lifted from I’m Gonna Get You, Sucka!; How does he go the bathroom with all that shit on?

  16. 41 awards if I counted right…please give this dipshit 41 lashes with a strap of freshly cut leather….with rusty nails and barbed wire on it.

  17. I love all the verbal pauses when he’s telling his POW fairy tale. Ever two seconds he stops, ummmm, speaks another sentence, ummmmmmmm. Of couse we here, “ummmmmm”, but in his head he’s making it up as he goes. Of course aside from Bill Paxton, let’s not forget Jerry Partain at Southern Chevrolet in Alexandria, Louisiana, who also used/uses a phony POW story to help with his car sales.

  18. Lance Corporal Underground scuttle is this war machine tried to get his legit stack at the big px but their inventory wasn’t large enough so he was forced to get it done online.

What a patriot war machine. Ironman 4 is about this guy I just know it.

  19. Wow. Total time to have a chance at achieving Limited Working Proficiency (2/2 on the DLPT) in those language (since he says DLI), 7.5 years. I’ll by that for a dollar.

“…и всегда “быть” больше, чем другие воспринимают вас быть.”

“…and always “be” more than others perceive you to be”

That about sums it up, dips**t.

  20. Gents,
That is the funny thing about linkedin. I emailed people who “Recommended” him explaining what was going etc and to a person 100%, they said something similar to “I actually don’t know him. I saw he was friends with someone else I knew so I accepted his request. After looking at his profile, I guess I should review folks who are linked with me more closely.”

I really don’t hold that against them, because I’ve been guilty of hitting endorse all four type thing in the past. I have folks on there who wouldn’t know me if my life depended on it. I only use it as a source since some folks will post some crazy stuff on there that we use later on.
There is about 25 minutes of tape on this guy and I gushed all over him as he spewed his madness. Years ago I did the same to a real Gunny who had served in VN but decided to inflate his record (Gunny PJ James) and acted like Joe CivDiv who didn’t know jack about the Marine Corps. He spewed so much garbage and the more you praise them, the more madness there is on the tape. It’s like a fire and they can’t stop telling the lies. Pretty fun.

  21. I can’t help but wonder if Dr. Dennis Chevalier USAF Lt. Col (Ret.) ever ordered a drool cup from this fine company. Would it be worth an inquiry?
