The arrested individual was wearing a FLAK, carrying a pistol, and attempting to get near one of the Senators… It was members of the 3rd US INF, the Old Guard, that stopped him, detained him, and had LEOs arrest him. They spent the day filing a police report….

Well, Roger, the forces were divided among several locations, never less than two, and sometimes four, with folks in transit between them. 😉

Given the NPS’s reactions/statements concerning Vets visiting the WWII memorial, I’m surprised they made the clarification that the arrest was unrelated to the rally. Thought they might attempt a snub.
