Danny Holroyd; Ghostbusting Phony

Holroyd

I know, I know, who would ever think that a ghost hunter is a phony, right? But Scotty sends us a link to his work on Danny Holroyd (almost like Dan Akroyd, isn’t it?) who claims he got out of the Navy with 3 1/2 years in service as an E-6, which is almost true – except that he got out as E-1 with less than 12 months, which almost the same, unless you understand how math works;

This guy is so ate up with the dumbass that he claims that he’s in VFW Post 8845 in Portage, MI, but that post is in Fort Smith Arkansas. Numbers are so hard, ain’t they, Danny.

I don;t think he has the brains to be a normal investigator, let alone a paranormal investigator.

  1. Naval Reserve to boot. Hardcore albacore. It’s hard (or used to be, anyway) to be E-1 after 11+ months of service.

  2. No schools? No awards? How is this even possible? Maybe his paranormal interests came from him being a ghost driller.

  3. better info here

Dan Holroyd Lol…..I still run into my officers and they call me that or LT …

  4. Amazing. The only reason I made 1st Class in 6 years was because I entered as an E-3 due to college credits. Nowadays it’s almost impossible to make 1st Class in under 8 years.

Besides which, you can’t make ANY of the Petty Officer (E-4 to E-6) ranks without havinb a designated rate, and attending, at a minimum, your rate’s “A” school, and almost always a number of smaller courses of 3-5 days every few months.

So, yeah……. Guy’s pretty messed up.

  5. His ‘men’ must have been his guests on “World of the Psychic” to come up with a Forrest Gump reference 12 years before the movie came out (and four years before the book).

  6. @20 – My bet it’s Danny Holroyd, the Mall Cop – with segway and all the accoutrements.

  7. “Danny Holroyd (almost like Dan Akroyd, isn’t it?)”

Closer to “hemorrhoid,” really. These punks don’t know when to shut up, eh?

  8. Yeah, he should have been a SA by the time he got out (time in rate from E-1 to E-2 is 9 months). Looks like he got kicked out or quit. You do not have to go to any schools if you come in as a non-rate… you can “strike” for a rate. We get a couple like that every year for CTI. We even had a young lady show up after her first tour with both Air Warfare and Surface Warfare pins… good kid and that tour had made her a real Sailor.

  9. Also, the FB pic where he says it was the SRT graduation, the gentleman he claims to be has all three French Fries to be an SN (E-3) and a rating badge, which could be Personnelman. Everyone in the pic has the same badge.

  10. ParaMan, all that picture mentions is him being SRT, which I assume is a law enforcement type training and nothing to do with SEALs or Special Forces.

  11. But he says he’s the guy in the front. The guy up front has E3 strips. So if Danny boy is the guy in the picture he got bumped up (unlikely) and then busted down again.

So yeah, lying piece of crap who should have been dragged out behind the Quonset hut a few times to realign his attitude.

  12. This clown looks like he is gazing at a meaty cock on stage at a male strip joint. And smiling. You know he wants some of it. Wonder what denomination bill he has laid out there on the rail?

And he is wearing a Navy hat.

    No offense, Sailors.

    Just pointing out the obvious.

    Just kidding…..

    Bored.

    Canning salsa.

  13. I never heard of anyone being in the reserves for a year and not going to active duty for training. He must have been waiting that long to be discharged because they knew he was a piece of crap.

  14. #34, Yeah he must have been found to be a shitbag in his career field. So they probably allowed him to look for a new job in reserves. Nobody wanted to take him when word got out how shitty he was. So they probably had little to no choice but to admin discharge him.

  15. There’s another possibility–DEP discharge, RTO (Refusal to Obligate) or other reason he got booted from DEP before shipping.

Anyone who comes into DEP does so as an E-1, USNR, and any “guarantees” for advance rate, etc., only apply once they swear onto active duty.

    Just my .02’s worth.
