Stormin Norman Laid to Rest

Some of the Army guys here seem to have missed this:

Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf Buried at West Point

Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf, the no-nonsense Desert Storm commander famously nicknamed “Stormin’ Norman,” graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, soaking up its values: “Duty, Honor, Country.”

He married here. He taught here. And on Thursday he was buried here.

I’ll leave it at that.

  1. Just saw this on Special Report. I didn’t know he had passed. Maybe I did and my 71 year ole brain forgot. I know that troops that served under him were divided on him. My perception was that he was not a political General so that makes him ok in my book. RIP General. Thanks for what you did.

  2. We need more like him, and a LOT less of the Perfumed Prince types, that’s for dang sure!

See you in a while, Brother …

  3. He made us all proud to be in, or have served in, the US Military.

Few can claim that accolade, even fewer hold that praise for life.

    Stand down, Sir. HOOAH!

  4. I.LOVED.THIS.GUY.

May he rest in Peace…and inspire others to be like him where he lies.

  5. Didn’t serve with him in Nam but my brother served under him in Desert Storm. RIP Sir.
