Delusions from desperation.

Well it seems that the full understanding of what life will be like after we leave Afghanistan is hitting home at Journey to Smiles. It seems that their newest video is showing that more then ever.

The biggest one is trying to have a campaign to get two million friends here and have them send a petition to the UN to have the UN “to negotiate a end to the Afghanistan War”. You know, since it has been so effective with Syria. Also it seems this groups has tried to contact the UN in Afghanistan without any reply back. That was back in April and I am not sure what they are expecting now.

The rest of the video has different women talking about how the are treated and viewed in Afghanistan. Then someone suggest that a sports program might help can calling it “A Contest of Peace”. Yet I could have sworn that this was done before somewhere. Then there is the question that everyone is avoiding that one of them asked; “Is this something we are doing to pass the time?”.

  1. Yes, come, let us withdraw and see if Kofi Anan can ask the Taliban nicely to stop taking child brides and throwing acid in women’s faces. Golly, hope nothing bad happens.

  2. And and and just maybe we can get the Tallywhackers to grow from their 7th century culture and mentality into at least the 14th century. At least then we just might have a chance at peace negotiations. (Ya think?) /snark off.

  3. Sheesh!

During the Iraq war, the leftists who pretend to want peace had been saying Iraq’s civil war was exacerbated by our presence, and that it’ll end when we leave. In July alone, terrorists had killed 245 Iraqis.

  4. It’s rather funny we think our “leadership” can get a country’s population and various factions to quit doing what they’ve done for thousands of years – kill each other.

They may well have cities but they’re worse off socially than the cave men of legend – hell, Sasquatch probably would have shit to do with the ragheads even though they are kinda furry.

  5. As, yes. The UN is so good at problem resolution. Can anyone name one conflict that the UN had a positive effect on?

  6. Voting to militarily intervene in the Korean war was the first (and last) time the UN actually accomplished anything positive. Even then, it was really the ABCA countries doing most of the heavy lifting.
