Last week I noted to Jonn that we were coming up on this number, and I wanted to thank him. He made it VERY clear that all thanks is to our commenters, both the trolls and the hardcore regulars. I agree.
This is a pretty big moment. We actually hit 1 million for 2012 earlier this morning, but I didn’t catch it.
I can’t thank Jonn and all of you enough. I don’t get paid from blogging here, and Jonn isn’t exactly retiring on it either. We do it for the fun of exorcising our demons, and to try to protect the brother and sisterhood we were fortunate enough to join when we enlisted.
A simple thanks isn’t enough, but it is the best I can do.
I think our first 1 million came in Oct. 2009 after three years of blogging. I blame George Bush. And Chick-Fil-A.

My understanding is that it is the one post wonders. Folks that follow a link here and then don’t click any other links. It happens more often I think when we don’t use the -More- tag thing. It essentially means whoever it is is either only reading one page (maybe the main page) or ended up here on a google search and immediately left.
The average actions thing is a good number, and the average time per visit at 5 minutes is pretty darned high.
Here’s hoping the looney left’s CFA boycott isn’t the only thing that backfires this year…

I think we’re actually closing in on our fourth millionth. I lost count when we changed servers last year, but we were close to two million then.
