What the Heck… More Good News for a Sunday

As an added bonus this bit has some liberals in a snit.
‘Act Of Valor’ #1 With $25M Weekend

Relativity’s R-rated Act Of Valor has stayed No. 1 all weekend. It’s the the Bandito Brothers’ independently financed low-budget U.S. Navy fighting force tale using actual SEALs from an original screenplay by Kurt Johnstad (300).

Jonn’s review is here.

  1. Wait, wait, wait….hold on, Country Singer I believe I have just figured out what middletucky (#1 above) is alluding to. Bear with me brother, while I attempt to reconstruct it. What he’s really saying is, is that Brad Pitt and Matt Damon are amateur MEN and REAL actors. Who knew? Go figure…

  2. @3

From what I can tell, that probably holds true for 95-98% of the metro-male/drones in Hollyweird.

  3. More people watched “The Lion King” than went to see “Pulp Fiction”. The original Star Wars movies made more than the PC “special editions” and “prequels”.

Americans know good movies when they see them. Hollywood doesn’t. And they wonder why their movies fail.

Including some douchebag Dax Shepard, who compared Act of Valor to NAZI propaganda:

Saw “Triumph of the Will” tonight, oh wait, I mean “Act of Valor” great action.

  5. I saw it with my wife and even she liked it. #7 remember The hurt Locker won the Oscar and has a reported box office of 16 million total as of today, but Hollywood liked it (wonder why). It is interesting the first five moneymakers this weekend were all panned by the reviewers.

  6. Son (former airborne medic in a LRSD) called Friday night to recommend this movie. Will try to make it sometime this week.
