Former Marine does what we all want to do

What? You don’t want to know the story about this picture, do you? All you care about is the fact that a former Marine on an off-duty detail from his NY cop job gets to drag a hippie by the scruff of his neck out into the street.

Flagwaver sent us the picture.

  1. According to the NY Post write-up, he’s is a former NYPD who retired after a work-related injury, not off-duty. He was just there to enjoy watching his candidate take the oath of office.

That said – yeah, we’d all like to do that to these creeps.

  2. Good work! Need more Kevin!

Kevin Hiltunen, a former NYPD officer, yesterday grabbed an Occupy Wall Street demonstrator by the collar and dragged him out of a Queens school where he’d been heckling US Rep. Bob Turner at the congressman’s swearing-in ceremony.

“I guess you could say I sorted him out,” said Hiltunen, 48, his jacket and tie barely mussed after dragging the scruffy protester out on his rear end.

“All I was doing was trying to stop this historic occasion from being disrupted. There is a time and place to exercise your First Amendment rights,’’ said Hiltunen, of Bergen Beach, Brooklyn, who was identified by people at the ceremony as an ex-Marine.

“This was not the time or the venue,” Hiltunen added.

  3. Not an ex Marine. No such thing unless you got a bad discharge or are a traitor like Murtha. He is, as the commandant says, a Marine.

  4. It’s a shame that he couldn’t follow it up with the tazer two step, but it’s a good image anyway.

  5. @13. The Marine did not heckle The Weiner. There was a rally outside (i.e., on the sidewalk) of The Weiner’s office and the Marine was there, front and center calling for the dirtball’s ouster. That’s a far cry from what Che was doing and where he did it.

  6. My question is, who sues on behalf of Che first, the ACLU (Che as agent of OWS) or Alan Dershoshitz? And what will No-Balls Bloomberg say? Vigilantism will not be tolerated!

  7. The look on shitbird’s face is priceless. What, who, uh, I can’t disrupt something and claim it’s free speech? My free speech doesn’t over ride everyone else’s free speech?
And, then, Mommy, mommy, he hurt me, waaaah.

  8. Nah the kid’s obviously cracked out of his gourd, just look at his face. The second Mr. Hiltunen used more force than necessary to bring the situation under control, he would have became the asshole, not che. He probably wouldn’t have felt it anyways.

@18 I know that, I was drawing attention to the article and the way it was written to make Mr. Hiltunen look like the bad guy. I don’t agree with a single word in it.

  9. @24. Almost got me. I swollowed my coffee just as I read that! “Don’t cry for me, I’m a douchbag”

  10. Actually, the only thing I would have changed is that I would have dragged him out not by his collar, but by his feet.

    Face down, of course.

  11. This made my day after an incredibly crappy weekend…thanks for putting this up.

And kudos to Mr. Hiltunen for doing the right thing.
