  1. … and Roger Daltry in Tommy. Even so, my vote, is always for Bowie (though preferred him in The Man Who Fell to Earth)

  2. Bowie for “Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence”.

Honorable Mention for Phil Collins in “The Great Train Robbery.”

  3. Here’s a few you missed:

Oh, and if you’re going to do Bowie, shouldn’t you have instead done, “Merry Christmas, Mister Lawrence?” Then again, he did do “Zoolander” as well.

–Keith Richards in “Pirates of the Carribean-At World’s End” (at least he didn’t need much makeup.)
–Aimee Mann in “The Big Lebowski”
–Ice Cube in “Friday” and “Boyz In The Hood”
–Billy Idol in “The Wedding Singer”
    –Lemmy in “Airheads”
    –Bruce Springsteen in “High Fidelity”

  4. I have never seen any of those movies in that poll.

I would have, however, voted for Meatloaf in “Rocky Horror: since I did see that one.

  5. John Lennon in “How I Won the War”.

Why are you looking at me like that? At least I didn’t say Peter Frampton in “Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band”. Or Meat Loaf in “State Fair”.

  6. Sting…. in “Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels”
Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers in “The Big Lebowski” (He was one of the German Nihilists)

  7. aw geez…you forgot Tina Turner played the Acid Queen in “Tommy” AND her character in one of the Road Warrior movies!!!

  8. Don’t forget Anthony Kiedis from the Chili Peppers in Point Break, when he gets shot in the sneaker.

Honestly, I can’t wait for your poll on professional athletes in movies.

  9. Along with Neil Diamond starring in ‘The Jazz Singer’ and ‘America”.

….please do not ask why i know this crap…

  10. Alice Cooper in Wayne’s World anyone?

“Actually , it’s pronounced ‘mill-e-wah-que’ which is Algonquin for ‘the good land.'”

  11. Kid Rock in Joe Dirt

    Aerosmith in Wayne’s World

BB King in Spies Like Us

…and since you said “Rock star” not necessarily “music artist” the greatest Rock star appearance in movie history is Chuck Yeager in The Right Stuff…”y’all want a shot uh Whiskey?”
