Paramount’s Marauder

Being a tool of the military industrial complex, I get emails from the corporate media about defense related stuff, like the one I got this morning about the South Africa’s Marauder, billed as the “The World’s Most Unstoppable Vehicle“;

I can see how this truck might give me an advantage during my weekend trips through Home Depot’s parking lot, but it needs more cargo space. I wonder if I can get it with satellite radio and a cup warmer.

  1. And do they measure fuel consumption in miles-per-gallon or gallons-per-mile?

  2. It looked to me like the bricks were just stacked, no mortar between the joints. I’d also like to see how damaged it was after the explosion.

  3. @ #2 – You bet the drivetrain suffered some pretty severe damage and bet the driver was not sitting inside it either. Heh!

  4. @#5 – Drivetrain was fine, tyre was punctured but the vehicle can run flat for 50km’s, a hydraulic cable was damaged but vehicle was still mobile. You are correct the driver was not inside, sadly in South Africa they have Health & Safety laws.

    @#3 – FBI has never bought one but if they want to be supplied…

  5. Johnny Smythe: get the feeling you are with the company, how about this:
    1. Let the guys at TAH and Blackfive test a couple, drive them around for a few weeks. That will get you coverage, feedback, and maybe more.
    2. Consider donating a couple for use by Soldiers’ Angels and Cooking with the Troops. Exposure, more testing and coverage, and maybe a bit more.
    If it can stand up to 1 & 2, it will be truly impressive. Not saying anything about Jonn or Jimbo’s driving, mind you… Cough.

  6. wish i could have had one of those on my tour to afganistan. would have been a more pleasurable trip.

  7. @ B Woodman;

    im sure that anyone ,who will not think, can pay 300000€ for this car..
