Sadly Inevitable. There will be more. That said, it is a sad commentary that such brutal events may serve to break up the complacency and magical thinking in our own ranks. I repeat: There will be more of these horrible events between now and November and if we win, after as well.

Not to be harsh, but as an out gay man in the south Alabama, Fla now NC. I know first hand what kind of hate is out there. When I lived in Fla I had occasion to hear rash limpd k spew about how nasty gay people are and libruls etc. I thought even way back then that it has to have some effect on the unstable righties and sooner or later this kind of stuff would be happening.

41. Wrong! Those right wingnut radio hosts are always encouraging their off balanced wingnut listeners to do violence. It’s enough to make them think that they are doing whats best for them and the country because of the bullshit the host is spewing. If it was a liberal station doing the same, it would suddenly be illegal.Of course we don’t yet know what happened in this case, but we have seen this kind of thing again and again and it comes back as retaliation for abortion, gay, anti gun blah blah blah. THat’s why so many people automatically jump to the conclusion that it was a fucktard wingnut at the trigger.
