Tonight I attended an anti-gun event at ASU put on by the Brady Campaign to Prevent Freedom..err I mean Gun Violence. The purpose of the event was to organize opposition to Senate Bill 1467, which would allow students and faculty with concealed carry permits to carry firearms on campus. There was the typical anti-gun rhetoric which isn’t even worth repeating. Of course, the opponents of concealed carry on campus can still not name one violent incident involving firearms on one of the thirty campuses that allow concealed carry.
Anyways, one particularly vile professor was encouraging people to vote in a poll to support or oppose concealed carry on campus in order to show that students and faculty don’t support allowing guns on campus. The problem is that the majority of the people attending the event were not students or faculty at ASU, yet they were still being encouraged to vote in the poll. Very well… two can play that game. Accordingly I ask that you all literally take seconds to vote in these two polls:

http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/GunZMT25LG Alternate: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/GunSafeCampus
Normally, I find these unscientific polls a little silly. However there was a State Senator and several members of the Arizona Board of Regents that were using the results of these poll to bolster their arguments against concealed carry on campus. So please, my fine young TAH readers, help Operator Dan piss off some liberals and vote in those two polls.

Done.

Done did it
My nephew was on campus at VT that morning. In fact, he and his best friend were on their way over to the engineering building when the nutbar attacked.
Most academics and faux intellectuals would rather be victims. They preach their version of moral authority while wanting everyone else to be victims along with them. Sorry, but I wouldn’t put my security in the hands of some academic weenie.
I did my part.
Not that I’m advocating you to do so, but, the survey prevents you from voting more than once by checking your browser type.
So, if you use multiple browsers, like Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, etc., have at it ;^)
Done…but right now we are getting our butts kicked.
Done! Work comp, phone, and I’ll hit it up again tonight at home!
1AirCav69 the reason why that is happening right now is the because professor kept the poll/petition limited to a small group whom he thought would vote his way. He didn’t think someone from the pro-gun side would actively vote in it.
Done, but it’s running 72% against so remember, Vote Early, Vote Often!
Might have something to so with the way it’s worded too. Very easy to click the wrong one.Did he really say segregate? It’s ok if it’s a bible-thumping-gun-nut I guess eh?
Wording:
Gun Safety Charter We affirm that no student should be obligated to be in the presence of an armed faculty or staff member, and no faculty or staff member should be obligated to be in the presence of an armed student on the university campuses of Arizona. In the event that SB 1467 is enacted into law, we request action by the Arizona Board of Regents to segregate the campuses into armed and weapons-free communities. When such segregation cannot be enforced, protective action should include the provision of police protection, the substitution of electronic communication for personal interaction, and the cancelation of classes as a last resort.
Good luck OD; I endured a parade of similar idiots at my school when the board of regents was considering arming campus cops a few years ago (they ultimately did). This is on a campus where a student gunman once shot six people in two different “gun free” buildings, and of course that dipshit gets trotted out as though every single armed student would do the same, if not for the school’s staunch “no guns” policy.
I hope the AZ board of regents tells these piss-pantsed pussies to go fuck themselves.
Like so many other things, the effectiveness of gun bans can best be summarized by a scene from a certain Simpsons episode:
Lisa: This rock keeps away tigers.
Homer: Oh? How does it work?
Lisa: It doesn’t work. It’s just a stupid rock. But you don’t see any tigers around here, do you?
Homer: …. Lisa, I want to buy your rock!
It looks like we’ve got an uphill battle, but I voted anyway. Please remember to choose “Disagree” for both polls.
Interesting fact about Survey Monkey Surveys. If you use Safari browser, and clear history, cache, and cookies, you can vote as often as you clear… Just sayin…
In Firefox – Do a ctrl h to bring up the history window. Find an entry for survey monkey. Right mouse click on it and select “forget about this site” Back your browser up to the Thisainthell page with the links and vote again. Rinse, lather, repeat…
Is this going to increase revenues for the University? What with all the extra “students” and all.
done
Voting completed. It must be working because it went from 72% down to 66% in favor of this claptrap.
done
Just voted and now it has dropped to 64%.
Every one need help every once in a while, I did. Don’t know where to look? Ur not alone check this out it may be what ur looking for
On UNC and some NC Community College Campuses they are forming”Committees” to identify,”Angry” students. I guess I’ll be included since my English Composition text is full of Nelson Mandela,Al Gore and the obama’s work. The purpose is to “Identify potental safety threats.”
They must’ve locked it. Beaucoup times now and 39.4% DISAGREE ain’t movin’.
Keep in mind, the prof called for gaming it “their” way, so they are probably doing all they can to skew it too. Rather suspect they are having to work really hard at it given all. They thought they would be the only ones to game it, now having to actually work. Find that rather amusing, myself…
Voting still works. If you haven’t voted, please do so.
“They must’ve locked it…39.4% DISAGREE ain’t movin’.”
Heeheeheeheehee…!
