If the Cowboy’s assless chaps did anything for you, you must be glad DADT is over 🙂

Hey Dan, you know why the Navy allows Marines to ride on their ships?

Sheep are too obvious.

As a Soldier with four Uncles and a Cousin in the Navy, I feel I am uniquely qualified to say HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! That explains some things…

I’m saving the Marine jokes for THEIR birthday. I’ll post them right after the Commandant explains what a birthday is, and what jokes are. 🙂

Of course, THIS is the Navy I remember…

I spent one night on a ship at sea…one of those LC-something thingies…the memory of that one night barely out of Chesapeake Bay sustained me the rest of my life. SO glad I joined the Army. Nothing like spending the night with your buddy’s ass in your face. The crew, such as it was, were sure glad to see the infantry un-ass their boat. I’m sure they did this after we loaded our landing craft and headed for shore; (language warning)

Don’t tell us about your bad habits! Don’t ask, don’t tell–remember?

NHSparky: Unless sailors are in the habit of getting their arses kicked by sheep, your joke doesn’t make sense. The most memorable quote I heard from a sailor during my 30 years in the Corps: “It ain’t gay underway.” Glad I stayed off the ships for all but one cruise in my career.

Top–as I seem to recall, the inside of my dress blues says, “Marine Bib” on it.

Thor

I dunno, but I was once told that they derived the color, “Marine Green” from a combination of Navy Blue & chickenshit Yellow…….

December 23, 1962 I boarded a really neat troop ship for a week cruise … It wasn’t supposed to be like that, I was in the Army!!! I swear, at chow time the Navy put anything that rolled on our food trays (beans rolling from side to side are NOT appetizing)… stayed sick as a dog for the entire cruise.

All this talk from you riders bitching about not wanting to be underway, don’t worry, we didn’t want you out there either.
