The war goes on

You’d hardly know there’s a war going on these days when Congress and the president are trying to force their way into the media. They registered their votes, so their war seems to be over.

But someone sent us this picture of his son that was taken by an embedded reporter (remember those guys?) and put out over the wires;

The caption reads; “SSG Joshua Strickland after “going black” on ammo in his M203 retrieves an M249 SAW from a wounded comrad before rejoining the fight to defend COP Nolen.”

You all know our submitter, so prayers for his son are appropriate and welcomed.

  1. You know what’s really sad? Some dumbass fobbit command/senior NCO, will bitch about him not having his blouse on in the desert environ, quote AR670 about it, and write up a command guidance for all to follow immediately.

  2. Prayers going out, time now. On a related note (for all you Ga,Atl folks) There was a very good article in Sundays AJC about a Capt Lucket from norcross and serving with 101 in Assfuckistan. Capt Lucket is a double amputee coutesy of an IED Iraq 2008. He lost part of his rt foot and lt leg below the knee. He busted his ASS to stay in Army and to return to combat. Charlie Mike Sir and Good Luck and God Speed to you Sir and all of our Troops. I apologize for lack of computer skills, but if you can link to the story or get the paper, it would be great. Also I would have to Put out a Hankie Alert. God Bless you all and all our troops.

  3. As we consider the little nastiness and incivility with our moslem brothers we would do well to give credit deserved for the invention of the condom using goat intestines in the early 1400s.
    I would be remiss if I did not mention that root of the current conflict is the europeans some years later explaining that that the intestines be removed f4rom the goat prior to use.
    One little disagreement on protocol 🙂
    Our Service people are always in my prayers, especially those in harm’s way
