The nomadic 39-year-old Australian dismissed the allegations in a statement on WikiLeaks’ Twitter page, saying “the charges are without basis and their issue at this moment is deeply disturbing.”
Yeah, I don’t think the US set him up or anything (this administration doesn’t have the huevos) but there’s something fishy about the charges and the timing. Wiki-Queda was preparing to dump another 75,000 documents from the Pentagon this week and they’d do it if Assange was in jail or not – which lets the US government off the hook for a frame-up.
I think Julian staged a publicity stunt to confirm the irrational theories of the world’s left. And of course, the conspiracies are already the subject across the left’s websites.
