“Gay” dog denied resturant seating

Stop me if you’ve heard this one; So a blind man takes his dog into a Thai restaurant

Ian Jolly was told he could not take guide dog Nudge into the Thai Spice last May because a member of staff objected, The Sunday Mail reported.

The restaurant’s owners said a misunderstanding had arisen between Jolly’s female companion and a waiter who understood the woman “to be saying she wanted to bring a gay dog into the restaurant”.

“The staff genuinely believed that Nudge was an ordinary pet dog which had been desexed to become a gay dog,” the owners said in a statement to South Australia’s Equal Opportunity Tribunal.

The restaurant was forced to pay $1500 to the slighted blind man and write him an official apology. First of all, how does anyone know if a dog is gay unless the dog tells someone – all dogs try to hump everyone all of the time – that’s why we call them dogs. Secondly, whoever was offended by the presence of a gay dog has some serious issues.

Finally, the dude needs a hearing aid. I only hear about half of what people tell me and if I’d heard “gay dog”, I’d have chalked it up to my bad hearing – not immediately demand the perverted pooch removed from my restaurant lest he break into a medley of Bette Midler and Cher songs.

  1. “Do you believe in life after love….”

Fuggin dog was singing that shit all night long. I barely slept at all.

Tell me this dog doesn’t look like Cher:

  2. DADT for ghey dogs? Kinda like VA claims of PTSD because some human rubbed his nose in a shitty carpet and whacked his nose with a newspaper.

  3. TSO,

I thought you had a ghey dog?

We have 2 beagles, sisters. One of them we call our butch beagle because when we walk her she has to lift her leg and pee on every mailbox we pass and she tries to hump her sister all the time. We’re gonna get her a flannel collar with metal studs on it…..

  4. I wonder if the waiter is here legally . . . . ?
    Can’t speak or understand English.
    Guide dog =/= “ghey” dog

This incident happened in Austrailia. I gan understand how the two words may sound similar when said with an Austrailian accent. However, I agree with Jonn: If I had heard “Gay Dog” I would have asked for a repeat not thrown them out.
