Reuter’s proof there are Gays in the Military

Jerry920 sent me a link the other day related to a Reuters Don’t Ask Don’t Tell themed series of photos. I wasn’t quite sure what Jerry was pointing to, but I kept going back to it. Finally today I got to this photo at the end of the series. I guess this is Reuter’s way of proving to us that there are already gays serving in the military;

gays-in-the-military

So what if it’s just his last name that is Gay, it’s still proof that Gays are in the military and performing their jobs admirably, right?

  1. O-M-G! Talk about conflation and mountains out of molehills.
    And the traditional MSM wonders why they’re losing viewers / readers, income, relevance, etc. . . .
    Nothing about if SPC Gay is gay, his job performance, any UCMJ (or other) troubles. Just a name transmogrified into a lifestyle.

    Uhhhhhhh. . .my aching head.

  2. Can you imagine how much shit he is catching over this. I grew up with a last name preople used to love to f@@k with. He probably has heard it all, but now there is new ammunition.

  3. My bad, I sent the link before reading the caption. The first picture in the series (since removed) used to be a skull in a mass grave. The title was “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”. The caption was a reference to Retired General Sheehan’s comment that allowing gay soldiers to serve made the Dutch Amry weak, unable to prevent the 1995 Bosnian genocide. In typical AP fashion they chose to accompany that innocuous caption with a grisly photo of a bound skull. An attention getter for sure, but the title, caption and photo were only tenuously related at best. They chose it for the Ick factor.

  4. There was a Korean guy on my first boat whose name was Rim, and another whose name was Ferber.

    Let your imaginations run wild.

  5. Worst I can remember from my time in the Navy was a poor young lass whose last name was Swallow, thereby fating her to be known as Seaman Swallow until she made Petty Officer.

  6. one of the DIs in my company on the depot was Sgt. Gay. He was easily the most “holy-fucking-shit-that-guy-is-creepy-and-psychotic-at-the-same-time” inducing DI in Fox(y) Co.

  7. ‘Bullet belt’? Sounds like something Matthis Chiroux would wear as a fashion statement.

    Old Tanker, not only is he ‘blowing’ a handful of phallic symbols, he is also sucking one in his mouth. This guy has GAY written all over him.
