Venezuela Under New Management

Still Winning

President Trump: Nicolás Maduro ‘Captured and Flown Out Of’ Venezuela

Christian K. Caruzo

U.S. President Donald Trump announced Saturday morning that Venezuela’s socialist dictator Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores have been “captured and flown out of the country”, a message that came after a series of explosions hit Caracas.

“The United States of America has successfully carried out a large scale strike against Venezuela and its leader, President Nicolas Maduro, who has been, along with his wife, captured and flown out of the Country. This operation was done in conjunction with U.S. Law Enforcement”, President Trump said in a Truth Social statement. He added that further details would follow at a press conference to be hosted later today at Mar-a-Lago.

President Trump’s bulletin comes hours after a series of apparent airstrikes hit several locations across the capital city of Caracas and other regions of Venezuela.

Maduro, who has maintained himself in power through a series of sham presidential elections, is actively wanted by U.S. authorities on multiple narco-terrorism charges. The U.S. has an active $50 million bounty on information leading to Nicolás Maduro’s arrest and/or conviction.

Breitbart

Maduro should have heeded ousted Syrian leader Assad’s example of a dacha in Russia. Instead, he’s going to take the Noriega route to the Martha Stewart Wing of Club Fed.

About all the cheap bootleg Venezuelan oil, China? That ship has sailed.

  1. Scene: Chinook lands and two figures disembark. SOF guy: “Good morning, Senor Maduro. Welcome to America.”
Maduro: “That’s el Presidente to you.”
    SOF guy: “Not no more.”

Nope. Not tired of all the winning, yet.

  2. I hope the good people of Venezuela are able to put their country back together again.

Sadly, I doubt my childhood friends there survived.
    Damn commies.

    1. Out of curiosity, Senor Graybeard, were your children close with your friends in Venezuela? Having ties that span generations might come in handy in the future.

  3. I wonder who will step up to be next on the target list?

Our other concern will be blowback, particularly from a grumpy pants China and criminally motivated, hypocritical UN.

      1. Let me know when we get to the part where they flail helplessly and file for court orders. I don’t want to miss that.

          1. Oh dear god, I could actually see that…. lol. I dint think Maduro is going to the Martha Stewart wing, she was minimum security at club fed….

    1. Freedom’s next stop? Iran. Khameinei needs to be looking over his shoulder, as well as the rest of the scumbag mullahs.

      1. Protests in Iran are hot lately. Except instead of yelling; “death to America” they are yelling; “death to the ayotollah” instead.

  4. Loud noise from my metal roof this morning… don’t know if it is heavy rain or tears from Commissar over Maduro’s capture.

  5. So far no word on any casualties, on either side. Well done Troops and AF. In and out in short order with the target in tow. Sounds like a clean op.

  6. Senator Chris Van Hollen has a table with a pitcher of Margaritas waiting on his new Bestie.

  7. People of Venezuela, it’s now up to you to root out the rest of the commies in your government. No mercy. Your newly found freedom is at stake!

  8. FAFO, but please can we stop Trump from talking, his hyperbole takes away from the great job and risks the troops are performing.

  9. Just to clarify. When you say ” I voted for this,” is it the promise of ” no more foreign wars,” or ” The US is not the world’s policeman,” that you voted for?

    1. Hey, Maduro picked the fight when he started shipping the cocaine laced with fentanyl into our country. He was indicted back in 2020. Noriega should have taught him the example of FAFO when you use your dictatorship to ship deadly drugs to be smuggled into the US.

      1. Well, more drugs come through Mexico than any other country. Should we attack them next?

Oh, the components come from China, should we start striking their ports?

    2. Which war are you referring to? So far as I can tell, a bunch of drug runners were blown up and Maduro was black bagged.

Loss of American Life = 0

World’s Policeman? He isn’t being charged with anything in the World Court. US Federal Court..

      1. Well, I am pretty sure if any country dropped a bunch of ordinance on the US, used military force to capture our citizens, we would consider that an act if war.

Be honest. There’s no other way to view this.

        1. Yes, we would. Now, explain to the class why a foreign power would do that except as an act of war. To arrest a US citizen? To liberate prisoners? Take your time.

        2. Sure, but the war is already over. If we are still talking about troops in Carcass conducting combat operations this time next year I’ll give it to you.

    3. I certainly hope future wars are mostly such quick “one and done” raids.

Grabbing the HMFWIC for trial, versus slaughtering tens of thousands of gomers, seems rather much an improvement.

        1. A buddy of mine started singing that on a PT run one fine morning. The formation completely fell apart laughing.

      1. Compared to the 500,000 dead and wounded in the Ukraine it looks like a church picnic.

      2. If it ends there. These things do tend to get out of hand.
Just because we came out on top doesn’t mean it was a valid act.

        1. If it pisses off Iran and Russia, and makes China weaker, then it was valid.
When in a duel, always turn and shoot after you’ve gone FIVE paces.

        2. Trump is way under the 60 days of that “war powers” act, that no president has ever acknowledged as valid. Yet there it is.

There is a pile of “Monroe Doctrine” precedent.

The 2001 pile-o-auth is still there.

And since Trump invoked “foreign terrorist org”, Congress already approved lots of use of force.

Certainly it is worth debating what we should legislate on the topic, but Congress, over more than six decades, decided to hand the President dang near Carte Blanche. Trump read the fine print of that steaming pile, and came up with FAFO.

Note that neither of our political parties has made any real effort to repeal that pile of legislation. Or defund anything. Thus Congress has repeatedly -allowed- this to continue.

They could end this stuff in a -week-. They haven’t. Both sides natter meaninglessly for the Presstitutes, but schedule no votes to end it.

That lack of “no”, in all that other noise and posturing, is congressional consent.

And Congress, over six decades, -likes- this arrangement. Or they would stop it deader than Chivalry.

          You really didn’t see it?

    4. These idiots just immediately agree with whatever Trump says or does no matter how moronic or incoherent.

They are in a cult. Trump derangement syndrome.

When you wonder to yourself “who hears Trump say he will ‘lower drug prices by 1000%’ and not think Trump is an idiot?”

      The answer is these guys.

Most of the intelligent members of the blog stopped commenting and moved on. The few remaining don’t really bother pushing back on the idiocy anymore. They just go along because this is their community and they hope this sinking ship will right itself after the Trump era.

There was a time this blog plausibly claimed to be mostly conservative simply as a result of being a veteran blog.

Now it is just a propaganda blog. It has nothing to do with conservatism. It has no consistent political values beyond whatever Trump wants or does.

Most of these guys will literally go to sleep saying they are against new wars, and wake up cheering new wars all because their cult leader started a new war while they were sleeping, and announced his intention to start more; even against our closest allies.

      1. Hey, good for you that you’re here– we’d thought you’d had a breakdown and were indisposed.

      2. Why are you even here? Do our responses and rebuttals of your party line idiocy make your little pecker stick out? Your track record speaks volumes about you. A whiny, know it all socialist that’s done nothing, produces nothing, a terrorist supporter that turned his back on the oath he swore, just a complete failure as a human being. Propaganda? Have you ever read your own posts?

Seek medical attention. You have serious mental health problems.

      3. Couple of comments;

Where is this “new war”, that you speak of?

I don’t think that TDS means what YOU think it does.

I, for one, don’t agree blindly with everything that Trump says, nor does. Democrats DO blindly agree with their party’s talking points. Blindly and willfully and every time!

I never agreed with anything that Biden(or his handlers) said or did, except for the decision to drop out of the race!

A bunch of what Trump has done, has been “wins” for the citizens and for the country!!! The TDS from the left is so bad, that they won’t allow themselves to be happy for anything good that happens, because “TRUMP”!!

        It’s sad and pathetic!

    5. Are you saying the Venezuelan people (the non-commies) are not happy? Unless their (50th ranked nationally) army fights back, what war are you talking about? I think the bigger take away here is that other similar countries will take notice that Orange Man Bad aint fucking around.

    1. Huuuh, that’s the lander from Aliens. I have dreamed of that little bird so many times.

  10. Seems most Venezuelans are pretty happy about this. Let’s see how the remaining regime members decide to act.

    VIVA LA LIBERTAD, CARAJO!

      1. You have to wonder how bad it hurts Castro Clan Machismo to keep getting “why bother?” from DC.

    1. People always cheer when a dictator is removed from power. As they should.

But Trump refusing to support Machado and claiming his administration will run Venezuela now is going to lead to a civil war and/or insurgency.

The cheering will soon go silent.

People cheered when Saddam was removed too. The cheering quickly stopped.

      1. Cool story, bro. Now you can tell me all about your lord and master, Obama, Hillary, and Gadaffi.
