      1. Article contributors don’t count for first contest. That’s part of the reason to why she didn’t say, “First.”

  1. Happy Veteran’s day, ya cranky old bastids! It’s time to storm the local eateries, get our free food and harass the posers, phonies, fakes, and frauds!

    1. Was in a reserve unit that gave us a drill point for doing the free veterans’ day meal at Golden Corral, etc.– probably because it took so long we’d be cranky and go “Hey, Flash Gordon, where da f*ck did you serve?!” at all the freeloaders.

    1. Somewhere, Pete Rose laughs. I’m not gonna defend his actions, but he never bet on a game he had any effect on.

    1. Now go to Applebees and tell them you served with the
      1st thirteenth.
Thank you for your service Jeff.

      1. And thank you for your service Beans. I stopped going to the corrall and Applebees a few years ago. Corral went south with their food, their steak was crummy except for just 1 or 2 steaks I’ve had over the years going their. I always got into great conversations with Vets there and Applebees…

  2. Happy Veterans Day dickweeds!!
Since the free food crowds will be filling up the chain places I don’t go to anyways, will probably seek out a nice local less crowded place.

    1. The local bandanas was offering a pulled pork sandwich for their veterans appreciation day. I went with the pulled pork and burnt ends dinner instead and didn’t say anything. Now I have dinner too from the leftovers.

      1. Chicken caesar salad (need more rabbit food these days) at a local place today, then a couple of beverages at the American Legion.

  3. Stand back! Battle Oiler Veteran is coming through! Be amazed her sleek lines, imposing refueling rigs, and oh so tantalizing helo deck for unlimited VERTREPS. Carriers? Cruisers? Destroyers? Hell, we even had Battleships along side, but nothing could compare…Enjoy!

  4. LISTEN UP !!!!!!

  5. As I am often apt to say ….to you all…..except OAM, without the “FU”…. Happy VD. Bunch of miscreant freaks.

  6. Happy Veterans Day to all of my fellow deplorable misfits , I’m present and unaccountable as I award myself yet another Honorary First!

    ((((OVER))))

  7. Happy Veteran’s Day to all of you cretins.

I’m ‘specially thankful for this particular batch (even though two are [GO ARMY BEAT] navy.

    God bless you all.

    1. My sister got these from my cousin from my Aunt’s house after she recently passed….OMG Such a 1 stripe dork.
As I said…Jesus, what a dork. Also one stripe…? who knew,

I’d have 7 more. If at the time you would’ve told me that, I would’ve told you you were high as fu*k.

      Posted for your amusement.

        1. I don’t see any geckos in the background. My room seemed to be their breeding ground, as I heard them all night long.

          1. We get geckos in our place and Sis has the can over gecko knack and releases them outdoors. Haven’t seen one yet asking me to buy insurance. small ones come through the screen weep holes or when we open the door and not look at the ground first….

        2. I think Dad made Tech Sargent for a 1/2 day, although he was a Captain in the Texas Army when I was a kid.
His pranks (and at least once, his temper) kept him getting demoted to buck private.
Don’t know what rank(s) the Navy guys held.
The two AB guys made some form of Sargent before they ETS’d.

  8. Bourbon and ale.
    Day off but 0.7% gain.
It’s a work day and in no way am I not appreciative.
