IDF Chief Reveals Israeli Commandos Operated Deep Inside Iran; Experts Say Nuclear Program ‘Systematically Destroyed’

Joshua Klein

Israel’s top military official disclosed that elite Israeli commandos operated covertly inside Iran during Operation Rising Lion, as part of what intelligence and nuclear experts now assess was a campaign that inflicted systemic, not just tactical, destruction on the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program.

IDF Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, said in a televised address Wednesday, “After 12 days of unprecedented fighting, I can say that the IDF operated at its best and fully achieved the aims and objectives of the operation.” He emphasized that the mission had one clear goal from the start: “to remove the existential threat to the State of Israel.”

Regarding Iran’s nuclear program, the IDF chief cited assessments from top military intelligence and nuclear experts, declaring: “The damage to the nuclear program is not a localized blow, but a systemic one.” According to Zamir, Israeli forces “hit the main facilities, factories and satellite industries, and knowledge centers.” He said the accumulated results “pushed [Iran’s nuclear capabilities] back by years,” and added firmly, “We will not allow Iran to produce weapons of mass destruction.”

His assessment does not include the coup de gras delivered by the US military. Meanwhile at CNN:

The US military strikes on three of Iran’s nuclear facilities last weekend did not destroy the core components of the country’s nuclear program and likely only set it back by months, according to an early US intelligence assessment that was described by seven people briefed on it.

The assessment, which has not been previously reported, was produced by the Defense Intelligence Agency, the Pentagon’s intelligence arm.

CNN

CNN has beclowned itself once again, and the DIA is working with the FBI and other authorities to investigate the source of the unauthorized disclosure of classified information.

  1. It seems that yet another TDS afflicted bureaucrat in the pentagon couldn’t even wait for the dust to clear before declaring the B2 strikes to be a failure. Anything to put a dig in on the “boss”.

    1. Is that what he calls victory? Losing control of the skies above your country, your “national security program”/world ender being dismantled, and your high leadership being gutted? I’m now interested in what his definition of defeat is.

      1. Defeat is waking up standing before the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, with Jesus Christ at His Right Hand, Who is angry at your persecution of His People, then ending up in Hell and realizing that it is an eternal damnation.

      2. Well, Arabs understand war as a total affair. By surviving, they can claim victory, as in their culture if they had the massive military advantage the US has over them, they would never stop until their enemies are completely destroyed and assimilated into Islam.
That’s why they claim victory every time they survive. It is unthinkable to them to accept a peace proposal if they have an advantage.

        1. “….never stop until their enemies are completely destroyed and assimilated into Islam.”

Yeah, that’ll never happen. Especially considering Islam currently has an apostasy issue and some experts believe the “faith” is in freefall:

        2. Wonder how they would explain they “won” if/when radioactive fallout fell on them…

  2. Drop some of the experts from CNN on top of the AO and let them give us an upclose and personal BDA. It’s the only way we will know the truth…right?

      1. I pledge a pile of fiat debt notes to make this happen.

        Fuck that lispy warmongering devil.

  3. Aside from that one CNN gent who reports on polls in a surprised way (as opposed to outright lying), isn’t beclowning itself CNN’s modus operandi? Telling them to actually start being a legit news organization (or any semblance of what it was prior to 2000) is like trying to tell water to not be wet.

  4. I have no love for CNN, but we’re really shooting the messenger for reporting on a DIA assessment? Yes, both have three letters, but that’s about where the similarities end.

    1. Yes, we are. When the messenger is complicit in spreading leaked, preliminary information and calling it news, they’re no longer a messenger. They’re an accessory to a major security violation.

      1. According to Sen. Graham that preliminary DIA report was given to some Congressrats. So, one of them may be the leaker.

    2. I understand the DIA assessment ranged from the Iran nuke program was set back either by a few months or up to several years. And the assessment itself was “low confidence”.

The media leaves those last parts out.

  5. CNN once again enjoying a copious helping of what has become the legacy media’s favorite dish.

    SMOKED CROW.
