Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: Donald Trump caused riots and chaos, he must be held accountable

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, in an interview with Fox News Digital, blamed President Donald Trump for the riots and chaos in Los Angeles. Cortez claimed that Donald Trump and Stephen Miller are taking measured action intended to cause chaos and unrest throughout the United States. Cortez argued that it didn’t make sense to punish people, who are not in charge of the country, for the rioters’ actions.

Ocasio-Cortez, who is seen as a leading figure in the Democratic Party and a possible 2028 presidential candidate, told Fox News Digital the Trump administration needs to be held accountable for what she described as intentionally stoking unrest leading to the Los Angeles riots.

“Everyone is seeing all of this chaos unfold in Los Angeles, and we really need to have accountability for the administration that has decided to intentionally uncork this chaos. The Trump administration owns this,” she said.

“Donald Trump and Stephen Miller know that when you violently raid elementary schools, Home Depots and start ripping kids out of people’s arms that it’s going to create and stoke social chaos,” she said. “Donald Trump knowingly is doing this. He is knowingly provoking chaos and, at the end of the day, he has to answer for everything that has happened.”

She went on to say that it “doesn’t make any sense” to punish those who are not in charge of the country for the rioters’ actions.

“I don’t know where this whole thing comes from, where this administration is intentionally creating chaos and then somehow it’s the people who aren’t in charge that have to answer for it,” she said. “We need to hold the leaders [accountable] who are making this chaos and creating this chaos.”

Earlier this week, Ocasio-Cortez attempted to downplay the rioting in Los Angeles, saying on the social media platform Bluesky that Democrats do not need to “answer for every teen who throws a rock” and that her party was falling into a Republican trap by trying to explain why parts of the city had gone up in flames.

  4. I was in the NYANG from 1975 and 1977 and in 1976 we had the 2 hundreth year of the US. I forgot to mention this when we were talking about the NG being called in to Kalifornia and last night the noodle kicked in and I remember riding in deuce and 1/2;s out to an area in Suffolk County NY State and went through drills using another armory east of us playing demonstrators with some having there families in the demostration. b 4 going out there, we practiced indoors and I remember the V formation we used for going into crowds. I f I vagualy remember, we had issue helmets, batons and I think we had shields. This training was done because the state was worried about demonstrations being held so maybe the state may have gotten some info about demonstrations but it was a long time ago so some stuff I remember and some stuff I can’t remember. Ok, I could say speaking about remember, I could have added in “Remember When” by Norman Fox and his Rob Roys out of the Bronx street corners. Holy moly I just added it in. Sorry about that.

    1. I forgot to add that we may have had a truck out there that sent out heat waves to the demonstraters as to warm up there bods to disperse them. I guess that the idea went south do to law suits from injuries. Anyone out there remember those gadgets plus noise machines aimed at demostraters.

        The HMMWV mounted Vehicle Mounted Active Denial System (V-MADS) has been around for a very long time. It initially makes your skin tingle/ich, if you try to stay it “warms” your belly!

        1. I don’t remember MIRanger, long time ago. I see that it isn’t used at these peacfull riots/arson events. When I was working for Brink’s, we had to be nys qualified to carry a firearm and deadly force could be used on a person just before an Arsonist could throw a molotave cocktail into a building I had all the deadly force nys acronyms that you could this force on. I guess the Kalifornia penal code doesn’t use escalation of force and the A-Hole gov wants LEO’s to sit around a campfire and sing Sara Sponda Sara Sponda with the soros paid riotors. Check it out on you tube. Brought back 1950’s memories. I threw all the training info on the penal code when I retired back in 2007 and made my way down to the Gun Shine State.

      I think I first learned about the inverted “V” from a History Channel program on ancient Roman crown control tactics. Tends to bunch the protestors close together to where they can’t move or strike effectively, and the soldiers CAN move and strike effectively.

            1. Now there was an Army 1LT in the chain of command of some Marines in combat. It happened in 1859 at Harper’s Ferry, VA. That US Army 1LT was J.E.B. Stuart, and he and a company of U.S. Marines were battling the infamous John Brown and his for real insurgents. The soon to be great Col. Robert E. Lee was in overall command of the troops that defeated and captured Brown. But the only nose rings in those days were worn by the bovine species. Although, one could say that many of the females wearing them at the riots aka “peaceful protests” nowadays definitely display bovine characteristics.

                1. Naw, they got some of that “due process,” and then they were hanged. Even Brown himself got a trial. Not that there was any doubt that it was a real insurgency where innocent civilians were killed by Brown’s insurgents. There is an excellent article on Wiki that details the entire series of events.

The only Green Beret that Hack Stone was familiar was Frank Stallone’s character in the cinematic masterpiece Terror In Beverly Hills. Can’t recall the name of his character in that film.             1. I resent that comment. I was a 1LT rifle company commander for the first two months I was in the Viet of the Nam, and I never got lost. Ditto for my platoon leader days in the 509th in Germany. Of course, by the time I got to Vietnam I had already been doing land nav for over five years. By the time I left Vietnam, I could navigate on foot, from a vehicle, or in an aircraft, day or night.

On another thread, I talked about how these movements were hijacked… Larry Klayman reportedly predicted the back-and-forth that would be occurring in the courts, like the injunctions, and he also reportedly predicted that there would be riots by the left. He’s calling this a Bolshevik-style revolution:

    1. Someone should inform this person that the so called “raid” was not an ICE raid. The event that triggered the LA riots was a targeted service of a federal judge issued search warrant for a business in the LA area that was engaged in smuggling foreign goods without paying taxes and duties, federal tax fraud, and money laundering. It was carried out by the FBI, IRS, Federal Marshals, DEA, and HSI agents. There were ICE agents there because the business was reputed to be operated by some workers who were subject to ICE deportation orders and had criminal backgrounds. Dr. Phil witnessed it with his crew. During the operation, someone sent to observe it called on her phone to a leader of the “protesters” who subsequently showed up and attacked the officers. Huerta, the leader of SEIU, a commie union for state employees, showed up and got himself arrested. That was the triggering event.
