California governor dares Trump official to arrest him – Cries foul when Trump called for it

California Governor, Gavin Newsom, reportedly dared borders czar Tom Homan to arrest him during an appearance on NBC News Sunday night. Newsom dared Homan to arrest him and to get it over with. He called Homan a tough guy. President Donald Trump later said that if he were Tom Homan, he would do it. Newsom responded that this was an unmistakable step towards authoritarianism.

From the New York Post:

“I would do it, if I were Tom,” Trump said upon returning to the White House from Camp David — joking later that Newsom’s “primary crime is running for governor since he’s done such a bad job.”

“Gavin likes the publicity, but I think it would be a great thing,” the president said after three nights of unrest in America’s second-largest city.

“I like Gavin Newsom. He’s a nice guy, but he’s grossly incompetent, everybody knows that.”

Newsom had dared Homan to cuff him on Sunday night, telling NBC News that the Trump official should “come after me. Arrest me. Let’s just get it over with, tough guy.”

Despite his taunting invite, the governor tweeted Monday that he was appalled to hear Trump humorously endorse the idea.

“The President of the United States just called for the arrest of a sitting Governor,” Newsom wrote. “This is a day I hoped I would never see in America. I don’t care if you’re a Democrat or a Republican this is a line we cannot cross as a nation — this is an unmistakable step toward authoritarianism.”

Homan had warned that both Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass could face charges for attempting to thwart ICE agents from deporting illegal migrants.

  1. “This is a day I hoped I would never see in America. I don’t care if you’re a Democrat or a Republican this is a line we cannot cross as a nation — this is an unmistakable step toward authoritarianism.”

Aww look at Gavin acting like he or any Democrat (let alone any in California) give a shit about their state, their constituents or their country.

    1. The President is just providing the authority that Gavin won’t. Not the same thing as authoritarianism. It’s filling a leadership vacuum.

      1. Interesting that he’s upset about that, but perfectly ok when governors (including him I believe) called for the arrest of a sitting President…

Just like the seagull, a complete fraud..

    1. Impeding Law Enforcement while in performance of thier duties is nonviolence!

Did I do that right, Commiedouche?

      May I has Sorosbucks now?

    2. So, apparently federal authorities discovered that this employer was using fake identities in order to hire these “newcomers”. If you don’t want the Feds to raid your business, don’t do shit that will encourage the Feds to raid your business.

      1. Hopefully they arrested those responsible at the business as well as the illegals.. Shady businesses need to feel the pain before this will end.

        1. One of the “businesses” was engaged in smuggling counterfeit merchandise from China in violation of our import laws and engaged in money laundering, as well as employing illegals. It was a criminal enterprise.

  2. “Mr”. Newsom,

In regards to your state’s Sanctuary laws and policies, your only two options in response to Federal deportation operations in California is to either help or stay out of the way. There is no third option.

Also, one does not get to cry foul after taunting an opponent to commit an action and then they do it. It’s similar to taunting a guy to hit you by calling him a coward and then, when he finally does it, claim he assaulted you for no reason.

    1. Eric Ericson mentioned a half hour or so on WFTL 850 AM Florida radio that the Kalifornia law prohibits law enforcement from backing up ICE members while while oerforming their duties, so our President ordered in the guard to help out the ICE Members. new yawk and a few other states have a similar directive like Kalifornia. So screw the A-Hole gov. on his law sooooooot. I next post I will read is Uncle Sam’s Misguided Children called in to take names and kick ass.

    1. Hmmm, could this be a reinterpretation of the official governor portrait?

      1. Do you think Governor Narcissus here has a special handler whose job it is to break the trance when he gets “locked in” to a reflective surface?

    1. My Bro in law is an engineer for BNSF. He tells me that trains carrying Nikes from the California ports have to run at random, unscheduled times to avoid mass theft. He also tells me the trains carrying Nikes are referred to as… wait for it… the shoe-shoe train.

      1. That’s why they invented “superdelegates” back in the ’70s. Can’t have “the people” choose the wrong candidates.

  3. I’ve said this many times
But is anyone taking notice on what China is doing in the pacific as I type

      1. Both Russia and China have been waging unrestricted warfare against the United States for decades. Both want to destabilize the United States from within, and be able to cause havoc within the United States should things get hot. This goes beyond their simply sending military ships or aircraft near our airspace and territorial waters.

Russian military planes flying near Alaska

The incident comes less than three weeks after American and Canadian fighter jets were scrambled to shadow multiple Russian warplanes that were spotted in the Arctic. Several hours later, NORAD said it dispatched two F-16 fighter jets from Alaska to Greenland in order to “forward posture NORAD presence in the Arctic.”

The U.S. military has reported Russian military activity near Alaska several times in recent months. In December, NORAD said four Russian military aircraft were detected flying close to the state, and the U.S. military said Russian warplanes were detected near Alaska last September when more than 100 U.S. soldiers were deployed temporarily to Alaska’s remote Shemya Island. That deployment coincided with eight Russian aircraft and four navy vessels, including two submarines, traveling close to Alaska while Russia and China conducted joint military drills.

Last September, NORAD posted a dramatic video of a Russian fighter jet flying close to a NORAD aircraft off the coast of Alaska. At the time, a U.S. general said “the conduct of one Russian Su-35 was unsafe, unprofessional, and endangered all.”

        1. Those Russian aircraft were just trying to get away from the Ukrainian drones.

        2. Norad plane should have popped flares.. be a real shame if the Su-35 ingested a couple..

  4. So, calling for the arrest of the (Republican) President is a good thing, but calling for the arrest of a (Democrat) Governor is a bad thing. Do we have that right?

  5. If Tom Homan wants to arrest Governor Gavin Newsom, he should just have a few of his guys stakeout The French Laundry. It should be easy to spot, as he will have entire section of the restaurant roped off for him and his donors.

  6. Soooo….Gruesome Newsom plays the FA card.
And then gets upset when PDJT47 threatens to Trump (pun intentional) him with the FO card.
I hope Trump/Homan does arrest Dippity Doo Gavin. I want to see the arrest, silver bracelets, and frog march televised & on a loop 24/7 for a week.

  7. If douchebaggery was a criminal offense, Gavin Newsome would be doing life without parole.

    1. Seems someone needs charges of conduct unbecoming, among others, then a swift trial, some time in Leavenworth, and a dishonorable discharge…

  8. Donald Trump is playing multi-level Chess while the left can’t even figure out how to play Checkers! So far, it’s been one huge pro-GOP ad being done by the D-rats.

  9. Just watched a protester chanting “our streets” while pointing his expensive camera in the face of a black dood (whose native tongue ain’t the Queen’s english) for telling the spoiled little bitch to keep his ass moving.

Chicago! You have a problem and the call is coming from inside the house.

  10. The only line that Greaser Nuisance crosses is on a mirror, chopped and cornrowed with razor blade precision that only a straw (forbidden in California) or a carefully rolled measure of currency aka a certificate of debt, as a tube for nose candy.

  11. This is a serious authoritarian bootlicker dipshit blog post.

Yeah, it was a foul to threaten it, and then call for it again when Newsom called out the threat.

Trump said Newsom’s crime was running for Governor. That is some Putin level shit.

    1. It was a foul when your sidesaddle governor dared Tom Homan to come and arrest him. Now, if you actually paid attention, you’d know Trump did not threaten to arrest your fearless leader. Your spin is weak.

Enforcing the law is not authoritarianism. Democrat-led Fauci-ist lockdowns are authoritarianism.

Here ended the lesson. Class dismissed.

    2. How heavily do you hyperventilate while posting rabbit-fucked chihuahua shit like that? 😄🤣. Jeez-loo-wheeze, go learn how to chill before you give yourself an aneurysm or stroke!

    3. Following and regurgitating the MSM narrative and projecting again I see.

Newsome is now and always will be a wuss.

    4. I’m going agree with Trump and disagree with the idiots that pretend they don’t understand metaphors.

The difference being when Trump calls Newsome a criminal for running for office because he is a shitty Governor and when the Dem leader of the house or Senate calls Trump a criminal they then make up some bullshit charges and try impeach him or get some flunky DA to send him to prison. They try to send him to prison for bullshit to get him out of the way. And then try to have him assassinated by repeatedly calling him a Nazi and everything but pretty till one of their nutters goes off the rails.

One of these activities is authoritarian, the other is politics. Now for the smart people in the room (Commissar put your hand down) do you know which is which?

The ironic part here is that if they had just ignored Trump he probably would have gone away. But every time they did an indictment or prosecution all it did was increase his following and popularity because lo… People understood that the Democrats were acting as a dictatorship. Kind of like when they forced Hillary Clinton on the people or Kamala Harris. People don’t like being told what to do, especially by spineless little punks.

My one joy at the authoritarian left?

      Failure. Every. Single. Time.

It renews my faith in the country and (some) of its people.

    5. Always an excuse when the Ds do it, always blame, conjecture and finger pointing when an R does it.

Funny thing is this time, again, the Rs are trying to stop violence and destruction from the Ds and illegals!

        1. And my goal is to endure to the transition to neo-feudalstic utopia.

Someone’s gotta turn off the lights.

He who laughs last laughs best, fuck-o’s!

        2. At the presser the Chief of Police and a city prosecutor were bragging on their arrests and charges on the rioters. Then someone asked; “what if the city just drops the charges like they always do?”

It was like a deer in the headlights of an 18 wheeler.

    6. As Dieter (SNL, “Sprockets”) would say, “Your story has grown tiresome”.
As Gunny Highway would say, “Just don’t bore me.”
