Mixed tape for Tom

(Jonn is apparently still down, and I am contractually obligated to cover for him, so you get another shitty/jackass post.)

tombrady1-2

As you know, I went through a rough break up yesterday. I could have taken the route every other chick dude takes, you know, eat ice cream, talk to my girlfriends about what a dick he was, go out and have random sex with a returning GI…. But instead, I decided to make him a mixed tape of all the songs that make me think of him.

Well, actually all the songs that make me think of him that are covered by youtube people on ukuleles. So, Tom, if you read this, I miss you. Oh, and I miss the early [edit] 2000’s when you had a high fucking passer rating and 3 superbowl victories. (Not to put too fine a point on it.)

[NOTE: Audio on first one is really low]

  1. Does this prove that Giselle is a succubus? It took Romo two seasons after dumping Simpson. Thomas, get a divorce now, just sayin…

  2. Sounds like Brady needed to be a little more like Joe Montana, and a little less like Hannah Montana.

And TSO–this whole Brady thing is reminding me of that psycho chick in Say Anything…”I’ve written 65 songs, and they’re all about Joe…”, or Tom. Whatever. You get the idea. Back away slowly.

Finally, BNG–speaking of succubus, ever notice how when Brooke Shields was Andre Agassi, he sucked, but as soon as he kicks her to the curb, he was unstoppable? Just sayin, man.

  3. Right now, on a set at the Bravo studios, there are 4 homos sitting there looking at this post and saying, “Wow…that’s gay.”

  4. Yeah Claymore. I had to look up just who Tom Brady is/was.

And still have no idea what this post is about.

    Is Brady dead?

BTW, I do like the Uke.

And I think I’d like some of whatever meds TSO is on.

  5. You missed the early 90’s when he had 3 superbowls? Dude, he was in high school then. He graduated the UofM in 2000. While he was there he got to ride the bench while watching Brian Griese win a national championship too…..just sayin’

  6. I especially liked that last one.

I was also thinking, TSO, if you’re not quite finished groveling in misery yet over the traumatic loss, I can strongly recommend a Rolling Stones song, “Already Over Me” to round out your primal experience. The song is from their late 90’s album, Bridges to Babylon. Some of the lyrics are very fitting, I think, such as…

    …You say poverty is picturesque
As you dragged your nails across my chest

    You’re so cold
    You’re so cruel
    I’m your man
    Not your fool …

    …Hard to hold on
    To a love divine
    I’m kneeling in a corner
    Praying to your shrine…

Unfortunately, I was unable to locate a ukelele cover of this song for you, but I was thinking, in this case, maybe the original itself would bring you home to Tom. The song is available here (just listen to the song; don’t look at the pictures of Mick Jagger and all them):

  7. What’s with your fellow Pats fan booing them off the field during the game? You’d think they’d be more upbeat after winning like eight Super Bowls the last decade. They have to learn to take it like us Cowboys fans since the Clinton administration.
