Former Guardsman now a drone pilot for the Russian Army

We talked about Wilmer Puello-Mota, 28, here, when he fled the United States to avoid facing child pornography related charges. His lawyers even worked out a plea deal. However, Puello-Mota left the United States before he was due to show up in court. He operates drones for the Russian Army and is apparently happy with the Russian soldiers he works with. His Russian commander is happy with Puello-Mota’s efforts. Puello-Mota believes that he is not a traitor for what he is doing.

From military.com:

The Air Force’s records show that Puello-Mota joined in June 2013 and left active duty six years later in 2019 as a security forces staff sergeant. Air National Guard officials previously confirmed to Military.com that Puello-Mota went on to become a technical sergeant with the Massachusetts Air National Guard but that he was separated in October 2022 following his criminal charges.

Air Force records show that Puello-Mota did deploy to Afghanistan once and earned two Air Force Achievement medals.

When Don Veitch, a spokesperson for the 104th Fighter Wing in Massachusetts, told Military.com in an email in April that “criminal activity is not compatible with our values as an organization and will not be tolerated in our ranks.”

According to the Russian defense ministry, Puello-Mota is now a reconnaissance drone operator; he himself said he is part of the 137th Brigade.

Puello-Mota made no mention of his outstanding legal charges or the fact that his travel to Moscow in January took state officials by surprise.

According to court documents provided to Military.com by the office of the Rhode Island attorney general, Puello-Mota boarded a flight Jan. 7, two days before he was supposed to be in court regarding his charges, and flew from Dulles International Airport in Virginia for Turkey.

In Monday’s video, he said that he arrived in Russia in January and “spent some time in Moscow” before serving in an international brigade in the Ukrainian province of Donetsk for three months.

  1. This is Not the first problem child from the 104th Wing MA ANG recently.

Perhaps, a thorough review is needed

  2. “says he’s not a traitor”

Curious if he filed his 2022 or 2023 taxes before he left.
Should be pending criminal charges for that as well.

  3. By the dictionary he hasn’t committed treason as we are not at war with Russia, so long as he isn’t spying on the US or turning over Intel.

Any way you look at he is a piece of shit and will be discarded at the first opportunity.

      1. Because he downloaded kiddie porn on his drone control laptop and it got infected with a virus

    1. I would be concerned if he worked in missile or bomber security. This shit bag could unload operational plans for nuke security operations. I think he would now be a target for assassination. He should be tried for treason as you are required to stay out of certain countries for a period of time. (25 years) It’s part of the Human Reliability Program you must agree too. It maybe different today, in the 70’s it was like that.

  4. Let this mofo be Ivan’s problem. Good riddance. I’m sure that Ivan picked his brain (what little he has) during his time in Moscow. I’m sure that Ivan is keeping a close watch over him for…reasons. Once a sh*tbag…always a sh*tbag.

    1. No one wants to pick his brain because the don’t want to see the kiddie porn things that are in there

    2. The Biden administration (technically, he’s still the President) will probably swap an arms dealer, an assassin, and a terrorist for him.

    3. He’ll molest some Russky’s kid and then “accidentally” fall down stairs with a loaded gun and shoot himself several times before breaking his neck.

  5. So….he’s a more ‘ successful ‘ version of Travis King.
Successful, as in…didn’t get booted by the country he defected to.
    They are definitely both defective

    1. You know you’re a worthless shitbag when even the Norks kick you out of their country.

            1. If you click on the comment image, then when tha opens, click on the words bottom left and it brings up my reply to AWIEd. Kinda loses the humor a day later tho. Agreed on the reddit link posting though. My tech skills are closely related to a blind squirrel.

    1. The big question is ? Matches, piezo lighter, or a magnifying lens to get things started.

  6. Once he is no longer deemed useful to the Ivans he will see just how dirt cheapski life is in Mother Russia, let them keep him, and once he gets caught with kiddie pr0n there? Ooh, the Russian prisons will make the ones here look like Hyatt Regency!

  7. “Puello-Mota believes that he is not a traitor for what he is doing.”

    He’s right.
“Section 3.Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort….”
