Israelis take out Shukur, Beirut Marine bomb leader

Twelve Israeli children were killed by an Iranian Falaq rocket only supplied to Hezbollah over the weekend near the Golan Heights.

The strike left a crater about 2 yards wide, breaking through the carpet of artificial grass where the children were playing. Around it were scattered burned-out bicycles and scooters, some electric bikes with their batteries melted. Walls of a nearby tent and shelter were pockmarked from shrapnel.

The Israeli military’s Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi said an Iranian-made Falaq rocket with a 117-pound warhead belonging to Hezbollah was used in the attack that landed in the town of more than 11,000 inhabitants.LA Times

Rather than a wide mass response the Israelis have taken a measured, targeted response and killed two militant leaders in separate strikes (which nonetheless have twisted Palestinian-allied knickers.)

Hamas said Wednesday its political leader Ismail Haniyeh was killed in an Israeli strike in Iran, where he was attending the swearing-in of the new president, and vowed the act “will not go unanswered”.

Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei too threatened “harsh punishment” for Haniyeh’s killing, saying: “We consider it our duty to seek revenge for his blood as he was martyred in the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”  AFP

Bet there are some interesting questions being asked in Iran about now…  but of more interest here, there was an air strike Tuesday in Beirut:

The Hezbollah commander who the Israeli military says it killed in an airstrike Tuesday had been blamed by Israel for a deadly weekend rocket attack and was accused by the U.S. of orchestrating the 1983 bombing in Beirut that killed 241 American servicemen. (emphasis added – ed.)

A statement from Israeli military spokesperson Daniel Hagari said the target of the strike, Fouad Shukur, was behind the Saturday rocket attack on the town of Majdal Shams that killed 12 young people in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights of Syria.  AP

‘Bout damn time.

  1. So, closed casket funerals? Who is catering the reception. Hack is requesting a kosher meal.

    1. Does this mean Man Love Thursday is cancelled for this week? Or will there be extra goats available now? Enjoy the Barbed Co@k of Satan as you burn in Hell, mofo.

      1. Seems like at least one of them is something OUR military should have done decades ago.. I still view Beirut and it’s aftermath as one of the biggest failures of the Reagan presidency (along with immigration and gun control)..

Rest in Pieces MOFO, and may the pigs feast on your scraps

  2. How about some great late 1980’s Jersey garage band music? Seems appropriate for this thread.

      1. Always put on a great show, and they appreciated their audience. Always stuck around after the show talking to the fans, signing autographs and posing for pictures. They would do an appearance every year at the State Theater in Falls Church, and tickets were around $20.

  3. All these poor misguided clowns crying about “Israel is committing genocide” need to understand that If they wanted to, Israel could’ve very easily wiped out every living creature in Gaza months ago.

  4. So I have a question
Why is it the Isralis don’t seem to have any issues
Taking out these turds but we do.
    Example
    Yemen,
    Bomb fuel depot
    Attacks on ships stop
Kill terror masterminds who cause mayhem
    No problem
    What gives????

    1. We don’t live there. We can afford to let the neighborhood go.

But for reals, we did go. We have bombed the shit out of Yemen, invaded Afghanistan and Iraq twice, so yeah we go.

    2. They don’t have socialist democrats and not too many liberals. Over there, they still punish stupidity, while over here we encourage it.

  5. Tuesday Two-fer for the Israelis, and let’s not forget last week’s IDF smackdown in Yemen. Message sent to the world. Of course CNN gets it wrong.

Because the hostage negotiations were going so well before the Israelis took out Ismail and a room full of his Hamas cronies in freakin’ downtown Tehran. Other than that Ayatollah Khamenei, how was the Presidential Inauguration?

    1. CNN started sliding down toward shitsville not long after the 1st Gulf War ended.

  6. I just want to know if the $5,000,000 reward for Shukur now goes to Israel? Oughta buy at least a few GBUs

  7. Ismail Haniyeh, huh? A Hezbollah Commander?

    🎵💣Another one bites the dust,…🎶

  8. What I want to know is, how did this sick bastard stay alive from 1983 until now? RIP, MF. Rest in Pieces.

  9. My heartfelt condolences to any buildings that may have suffered any damage.

  10. 241 US Marines and Sailors killed and we could not find this guy for 41 years, yet the Israelis find him in less than a week after Hezbollah killed those Children. Think about that for a moment. 41 years vs less than a week. Very sad commentary on the US Intelligence Agencies and the US Government.

  11. I saw this report yesterday and have been waiting for it to hit here. How old was shukur that he was still in the hierarchy 40+ years later?

Was it an airstrike in Teheran that got haniyeh? Or a precision missile strike. If the latter that should make some folks nervous and they should sleep in their bomb shelter.

    1. Just saw this.

Mossad agents in Iran detonated an explosive device in the bedroom of Ismail Haniyeh, the Hamas leader, which had been planted months earlier, it has been reported.
The bomb was placed two months ago in the house, which is run and protected by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), according to The New York Times, which cited seven Middle Eastern officials, including two Iranians, and an American.
A source who spoke on condition of anonymity confirmed the report to The Telegraph.
The bomb was detonated remotely when it was confirmed that the Hamas leader was inside the guesthouse. Haniyeh had apparently stayed in the guest house several times in the past.
Two IRGC officials said the explosion shook the building, and shattered some windows. The severe security breach was described as “catastrophic” and a “tremendous embarrassment” for the IRGC, according to the three Iranian officials

      1. The security detail were the same ones assigned to watch over Jeffrey Epstein. Nice to know that other countries are burdened with DEI.
