Tuesday part Deux

Kamala Harris’ stepdaughter is described on her own website as a model, artist, and fashion designer.

Ella Emhoff — whose father is second gentleman Doug Emhoff — debuted her knit pieces, which she said marks her transition out of the fashion world and into her new phase of life as an artist.

“This new art form kind of was birthed out of my knitwear, where I started kind of playing around with this duplicate stitch technique,” Emhoff, 24, told The Post during her reception at Gotham NYC, billed as a “woman-owned legal cannabis concept store on the Bowery.”

“But I found that no one really wanted to wear all of this stuff, because it’s kind of crazy and loud, but they liked looking at it. So then I just started experimenting. And now I’m here.”

Vice President Kamala Harris’ stepdaughter opened her textile exhibition Thursday at a cannabis store on the Lower East Side — where she peddled knit portraits for several thousand dollars.

Let me make sure I have this sorted – a child of one of the top two people in our political hierarchy selling “special” art from a drug-related  enterprise for exorbitant prices. Yep, rings familiar.

Lockets, flowers, a puppy and a purse with a cookie emblem were among the textiles, as well as a portrait of a perplexed-looking woman named Bailey.

Emhoff’s two self-portraits were among the most popular with the crowd — and the most expensive.

A close-up of Emhoff’s bright red nose and freckly forehead had a striking $5,500 price tag attached.

Having looked at some of her ‘fashions’ that popped up when I did a search for her fashion designs, I think the lateral move makes sense. Lots of sense.

Harris’ stepdaughter was also asking for $4,500 for a textile of two heart-shaped Gucci hairclips — a 1,400% markup from the designer accessories after which they were modeled.

The event was attended by nearly 400 people, many of whom identified themselves as knitting hobbyists — and about half of whom were described as “queer” by one viewer.

Emhoff declined to address rumors the exhibition was a fundraiser for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, a controversial anti-Israel organization which she caught fire for publicly supporting just last month. NY Post

One suspects she may have looked to another Presidential offspring as an example.

$5500? Hunter sez “hold my beer.”

  1. That thing looks like Bobby Brady and Richard Simmons did it and had a kid. Nasty.

    1. I ’bout busted a stitch laffing, AP. And here we thought that Hunter had the scam artist thing sewed up. Knot trying to needle you, but knits grow into lace. (Apologies to Colonel Skimmerhorn)

        1. Hey!

That’s some serious Punnery competition there, Jeff. These TAHers are rolling in hot.

Ya better start watchin’ yer six!

  2. She clearly missed the mark. I’ll bet if she tries the Chinese market she can get ten times that price!

    1. It was dumb when I was in my Harry Potter stage and made ugly clothes and nobody bought them and so I put them on a board, called it art and sold them not. But I am not a fortunate daughter.

  3. If she got contacts, a new hairstyle and went on OnlyFans it would be an improvement.

      1. There isn’t enough beer in the world. And even if there was, would anybody admit it? Doesn’t she get secret service protection as well? The stories they could tell if they could tell stories.

  4. Fuck, I thought Sally Ride was dead.

Still, I boggles my mind when I try to truly figure out how much our rulers hate us.

  5. Well, she’s cut out “like” from repetitive use. She instead uses, “kind of”. So at least we don’t have to hear phrases that go; “well, kind of, like, y’know, right? I KNOW, right? So, that’s what it’s kind of, like, all about, right?”

  6. The fix is obvious, but….

Given her track record, I’d prefer paying for Kamala’s ire instead of her help.
