Hundreds of Jeffrey Epstein court file names were released Wednesday.

Former Presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump are mentioned in newly unsealed Jeffrey Epstein-related court documents, but they are not accused of any wrongdoing involving the disgraced sex trafficking financier.

Clinton, who sometimes flew aboard Epstein’s private plane, is listed repeatedly in the documents because he was the topic of an argument over the credibility of a witness who said she saw the former president when he was a guest of Epstein.

Trump’s name appears in a document in which Epstein is quoted as saying he would invite the then-real estate mogul to join him at a casino. In another document, a witness said she was never asked to engage in sexual relations with Trump.

Numerous other folks were named, including  Prince Andrew of Great Britain, prominent litigator Alan Dershowitz, billionaire hedge fund founder Glenn Dubin, fashion CEO Les Wexner, and deceased modeling agent Jean-Luc Brunel. All involved have publicly stated that their involvement with Epstein and his sidekick, Ghislaine Maxwell, was entirely innocent.

In some cases, this may be believable, as their names came up in third party references or merely mentioned by someone may have suffered from credibility issues.

In pretrial litigation, Maxwell said Giuffre lied about about seeing Clinton on Epstein’s private Caribbean island, and that this assertion undercut her credibility in general. This dispute is the reason the former president’s name pops up so frequently in the documents.

Clinton’s office referred reporters a 2019 statement that said the former president “knows nothing about the terrible crimes Jeffrey Epstein pleaded guilty to in Florida some years ago, or those with which he has been recently charged in New York.”

Spokespersons for Clinton have said he made trips to Europe, Asia and Africa on Epstein’s plane and that the former president had met with the financier in his Manhattan office in 2002.

Seems like after years of circling the wagons, there was nothing to see but the campfire remains where they all sang “Kumbaya” together.

Not like the rich and powerful used the intervening years to scrub the files and documents.

    The ties between Trump and Epstein, and Clinton and Epstein, and even between Trump and Clinton go back two decades.

    The list of names so far shows how many elite connections Epstein had. He was a college dropout prep school tutor elevated to world class “wealth advisor” because of his ability to recruit underage teens for the ultra rich and powerful.

    The corruption involved in keeping this covered up and protecting Epstein for so long should have consequences as well.

      One would hope that would have consequences, but I have my doubts that it will come to anything.

Alex Acosta covered for Epstein with a sweet non-prosecution agreement that gave Epstein and his clients immunity for all crimes involved with Epstein and up to that point in time, and the government promised to seal the documents involved with the case. An agreement that was later deemed illegal.

        Acosta was rewarded when he was appointment by Trump as Labor Secretary in the Trump Administration.

        Fortunately, Acosta had to resign when the Epstein scandal hit the fan. I wonder if Don McGahn will eventually show up on the Epstein list…he is the one that recommended Acosta to Trump.

        Acosta never faced any real consequences other than public “shame” and being forced to resign. However, since he is likely a sociopath he probably feels little if any shame.

        1. What a patient man to wait nine years to get rewarded. Not only correctly anticipating that Trump, who had never run for office before, would trounce Clinton in the election but that he would be remembered and given a shiny coin. Most people wouldn’t be so trusting.

          Having to take that job as a college dean just sitting there waiting for his ship to come in. I wonder if he was humming “We Shall Overcome” at his desk?

            He was rewarded by being a privileged man among the rich, powerful, and politically connected. His career was ordained to be successful because he was one of the people they could rely on.

            He didn’t do it specifically to get a benefit from Trump himself. He did it because he was BEING advantaged by having the trust and connections he had and his willingness to do what he was asked to do. He was rewarded. Multiple times. Trump was just one those that bestowed a reward. In this case a senior executive cabinet position.

            And none of your bullshit changes the fact that both Trump and Clinton were involved with Epstein for decades. There are even photographs of them together and their names come up on Epstein records.

            Epstein ran a legitimate business as well and had dealings with thousands of wealthy people, including Trump. After he dicked Trump over in a deal Trump cut him off.

    6. Bullshit, depo testimony shows the victims had no contact with Trump. Trump kicked Epstein out of Mira Lago for hitting on a member’s teen age daughter sometime in the early 2000’s. The girls’ attorney said Trump was the only one of Epstein’s acquaintances that volunteered in 2014 to give him info about what he knew about Epstein for the girls’ civil litigation.

  3. I’m afraid this won’t move the needle with many folks when it comes to people we’ve already heard about. Clinton? Rush was talking about him taking rides on the “Lolita Express” decades ago. The only danger for Clinton is that he isn’t of great use to the Proggies at this point. So there is some danger, but still not much. He’s old and irrelevant so maybe there is some shielding there. Prince Andrew? We knew and don’t care. Trump isn’t showing up on the “he likes them young” side of things so that’s good. Him kicking Epstein out of Mara Lago for being a creep in 1999 helps, too.
    I hadn’t heard of anyone new. I’m sure they’re there, I just hadn’t heard. The only real danger there, of course, is if someone is on the right. If there are new allegations about any big lib, it’ll be ok – MAPS are cool now a days!

    1. Marxist-Dem Super Donor Larry Fink and Epstein were chummy on some charity projects. His name is strangely absent from any documents which is pretty odd considering how heavyweight he is. He may not roll that way though.

      Bringing him down would change the course of the country but that is likely not possible. He is simply too powerful.
