The Sound of a Jet Crashing

Thanks to the late Jonn Lilyea, we are familiar with the sound of a round going off – pew, pew.

Now, we have first hand account of the sound a jet makes when it crashes.

A South Carolina man is the subject of a video that has went viral when he imitated the sound he heard when the military’s jet crashed near his home.

In a longer video, White goes on to say:

“I said: ‘was that a meteorite coming from outer space or something?’”

I absolutely LOVE this guy! It is easy to see how his expressive nature endeared him to so many people.

OPERATOR: “911, What is your emergency?”

WHITE: “That jet they are looking for – it crashed near my house.”

OPERATOR: “What did it sound like?”

WHITE: “I thought you’d ask. You ready? It sounded like this –“

  1. I don’t know…I thought that sounded more like an F-18 than an F-35.

Maybe they found the wrong crash site?

  2. He sounds perfectly legit to me, absolutely normal compared to most man/woman on the street interviews I have seen.

I started to compare him to some of the after the tornado interviews, I have seen, then I balked. You want to witness something outrageous, watch some of the Jessie Waters people on the street interviews.

  3. Where.is.Mick!?!!! Mick has been more elusive than Waldo…or hitlery’s emails…or the truth from sniffy creepy…or Jeff’s client list…or The Artist’s laptop…or future legitimate US (s)elections…or Navy touchdowns…

  4. Holy cow, I just had a flashback to a low altitude CAS show of power in Ramadi, Iraq (and I was in the TOC…). Don’t play with the volume up.

  5. “I was takin’ a sh — ave.”

Never heard it put like that. I wonder if he adjusted on the fly for a family audience.

    1. So, do people who live near railroad lines describe the freight trains passing as sounding like a tornado?
