A whole new set of liars

Last year, a new set of liars formed up their own organization, named March Forward, of people they call veterans. They are the veterans organization of the ANSWER coalition – as opposed to IVAW which affiliates itself with United For Peace and Justice. I guess ANSWER needed their own stalking horse instead of depending on IVAW. I see some old names in their group, but most interesting are the new names.

All of their profiles begin the same way “I was a poor child with no job skills and I wanted to go to college and the military lied to me….”

Reading through the member profiles, I found this one most interesting. About a guy who calls himself Eddie Pages.

Here’s what he writes in his profile;

[H]e served as an Intelligence Analyst for the 1st Marine Air Wing in support of U.S. Pacific Command. Two weeks after he arrived in Okinawa, he was sent to the Philippines. Three Typhoons had just devastated that country.

Of that experience, Eddie writes: “I went there with the idea that I was there to help. I quickly learned that I was not there to help anyone. My job was to analyze intelligence collected against the people of the Philippines. The humanitarian aid was nothing but a front operation for intelligence collection. While there I witnessed high-ranking U.S. military members participating in human trafficking. I witnessed U.S. Marines buying french fries at McDonald’s and having the hungry children outside fight each other for them. I knew then that I was on the wrong side of the equation. I spent any free moment I had sneaking off to speak to these children about their conditions. I spoke to farmers about their government. It quickly became crystal clear to me that the suffering of these people was directly linked to the U.S. government. I was ashamed of wearing the uniform of the oppressor. I began to research the histories of oppressed nationalities and teaching these lessons to the analysts that worked directly under me.”

Eddie refused to go to Iraq two times, telling the military that he would not go to Iraq and fight against innocent people for U.S. corporations. His supervisor at the time did not want to pursue any legal actions, so he found a volunteer to go in Eddie’s place both times.

Yeah, he saw officers engaged inhuman trafficking – he saw some buck sergeants pay hookers. And can you imagine a Marine officer allowing a Marine to refuse deployment twice with no repercussions? Seriously?

And spying on the Filipinos? Really?

I can’t find a record on him at Military.com (which doesn’t mean much), but he sure does set off bells. He claims he got out last year. The Army has AKO, anyone know if the Navy or Marines have anything similar?

  1. Yeah, I’m waiting fr the little f**k to file a VA claim for PTSD, because of his horrifying experiences in the PI

  2. Man that place is a goldmine!

Priscilla Lounds ” She thought she could help by organizing a neighborhood watch group. Again, she realized that this program was not what it portrays itself to be. It was just an extension of the police state.”

    Wow,just wow.

  3. “Uniform of the oppressor”? The standard phrase for those who haven’t been there, done that. And I highly doubt the USMC would “allow” someone so neat and necessary as “Eddie Pages” to just say, “nah, thanks just the same, I’ll pass on this deployment”. Twice!!
As B Woodman said, my BS alarm is in hyper mode about now.

  4. Just read up on a real “hero”, Forrest Schmidt. A cook who “organized” other cooks to stand in solidarity with German cooks who went on strike? Wow, what a guy. A cook who went AWOL? Man, that unit must have been a real bitch to be in, if the cooks went AWOL, I wonder how many of the guys who were 11B went AWOL?

  5. Take a copy of that “nut job’s bio” and visit a marine recruiting station, just tell the gunny and see if he can help/such illustrious service will be quickly “endorsed” by the Corps

If he is a fake, maybe just maybe someone will take it personal enough to put his butt behind bars for impersonating a real man/woman.

  6. So let me get this right. High ranking officers were involved in bringing Philippine prostitutes to the U.S.?
I don’t think so. Even generals can’t get visas for anyone. That goes through the embassy. They also cannot tell another country to issue a visa. They’re dooing enough without our help. The guy is a liar.

  7. The Corps has Marine Online (MOL) and it has a search function. I think it tracks former, since I’m still on it, so any active Marine could look him up (or retired, for that matter). I’d do it myself, but I can’t seem to access it on this computer (running Firefox on Ubuntu)

  8. All I could find was an Edward Pages whom was a SGT with 1st MAW and is no longer in the Marine Corps. His MOS was 8014, whatever that is. Other than that, I got nothing one way or the other. I don’t even know if these two guys are one and the same.

  9. MOL information:

    PAGES, EDWARD

    Rank: Sergeant (SGT)
    Service: Marine Corps
    Component: Non-Marine
    MOS: 8014
    Billet Desc:
    Work Phone: (312)***-****
    E-Mail: PAGESE@****.****.***
    Unit Information
    Unit:
    Company:
    Platoon:
    Work Section:
    Street Address:
    City/State/Zip:

Never heard of the 8014 MOS. Did a little googling and no one seems to really know either. Only info I found on it was a rumor-ish statement that those who get the 8014 is simply to designate the fact that you’re a shit bird and either are in the Brig, or are not deploying and being stripped of your MOS due to the fact that you’re separating from the military. “Non-Marine” seems to imply you are simply no longer in the fleet or IRR anymore. I have the “Non-Marine” status on mine as well.

  10. 8014 is a T/O MOS, basically a “placeholder” billet designator, used in a T/O to designate a billet that is not MOS-specific. It’s not really an MOS.

  11. Yeah, in his retard profile he talks about being in Oki with the Wing. 1stMaw is the wing at Oki. So more likely than not this is the dude. I obscured his telephone number just in case, and his email (even though his old usmc email account was probably deleted).

Doing some more googling doesn’t seem to bring up much more. Looks like he’s just another turd who rode the Whaaa-mbulance home while all his other buddies manned up and went to work.

  12. Seems like our pal Eddie Pages has a MySpace Page where he lists his scholastic endeavors as attending Lely High School in Naples Florida from 1994-97, and graduating from Lincoln HS in Yonkers NY in 1998. His next issue is the University of Maryland from 1998-2006, stating he received a BA in International Relations in 2006. Like many of us, it seems like his collegiate career took a bit longer than anticipated.
Looking on his MySpace, Eddie reveals that he “testified” about NYPD ‘police brutality’ with the Party for Socialism and Liberation for taking pictures of the NYC subway system as he was waiting on the train. Claims he was harassed by the NYPD and members of the National Guard ( if they are under orders, are his publicized false accusations actionable in a court of law?) His posted pix show his activity with the ANSWER Coalition. This is Eddie below :
    http://www.myspace.com/eddiepages
His blog entry for March 31, 2008 seems to track a fanciful delusion, and his writings are reminiscent the “Hitchhikers Guide to the Universe” , in short- devoid of reality and apparently an outright liar. So, I’ll do my Joe Wilson imitation and say “ YOU LIE” to Eddie Pages. Here’s his 3/31/08 post abiut why he hasn’t been blogging:
“I’ve had sooo much stuff to write about and believe me in a couple of weeks it will all be out. As for the past month…I as many of you know unfortunately work in the intelligence community. My supervisor and I have had it out since his arrival here about ummm 9 months ago. Well he was looking for dirt on me and he found myspace page and read all of my blogs. As many of you also know I do not mince words when it comes to the truth. Anyway he printed my blogs out and took them to my commanding officer. I was given a “lawful order” to remove all blogs critical of the United States government, The President, The War and US Allies within 24 hours or face Court Marshall and possible jail time. I was fired from the intelligence section and am currently waiting out the remainder of my contract. On April 12th this nightmare of a contract will be over and all my blogs will be in the form of videos from now on. I want to thank you guys for your patience during this time for me. I will back with a vengeance very shortly :)”
Now, he says he is the son of a “CIA bureau chief” and a female member of the “Chiefs” security team. Now, I haven’t been in the CIA, so I’ll not render judgment, except to inquire simply – aren’t CIA agents in charge in foreign lands referred to as “station chiefs”, and” Bureau Chiefs” located in Langley? Just a thought .
Let see above- works in intelligence community, threatened with Court Marshall (?) , was “fired from the intelligence section” (?) (this dude was “fired “from the intelligence section of the human race when he began to craft this line of BS. )

So anyway, on to his blog #2 for March 31, 2008 and his supposed entry into the USMC after HS graduation. That would be 1998 according to his listed academic history, about the same time he entered the University of Maryland, right. Eddie’s tale gets curiouser and curiouser….
“ I went to Marine Corps Boot Camp 13 days after completion of high school(something in me wanted to prove something to my father about my position in this world, I wanted to make him proud of me, something I’d never experienced before). In my young and sometimes wildly romantic vision of the world around me I decided that I would join the infantry (BAD MOVE), I did so well in the training I was offered a highly sensitive position guarding part the United States nuclear weapons arsenal. The never ending cycle of 120 hour work weeks aged me well beyond my years.”
I served in the USAF, not the Marines, so perhaps the Jarheads out there can tell us about newbies guarding the” nuclear weapons arsenal”. Still trying to see when he pulled this off while attending UM. Looking at his pix above, I guess it DID aged him beyond his years- turned him into some sort of softie. Dudes, do you REALLY work 120 hour weeks if you are on guard duty in peacetime? Damn, that’s harsh!
I have to just let Eddie speak for himself here so he can make sure how high on his own petard he decides to go. He says he does his four years and bails out—cool, if true that would make it 2002, while still while working on that BA at UM.
“Fast forward 3 years. (according to his timeline, he is 24 years old now) The war in Iraq had just started and a person that worked for me when I was guarding those dreadful weapons during my time in the military, died while on patrol in An Nasariyah after he jumped on a grenade. Well I was in such shock and pain from having lost someone I considered a friend in such a horrific way that I decided that as a dedication to his life I would go back into the military and do a tour for him. (this is the point in my life that I learned that one shouldn’t make rash life decisions under highly emotional conditions) I went back into the Military and this time became an intelligence analyst after I was promised that I would be stationed in California for 4 years and not go outside the US. Well I graduated Military Intelligence School first in my class and was sent to Okinawa, Japan. (yea I know, THATS NOT CALIFORNIA!) Well I arrived in Japan and two weeks later flew to Angeles City, Philippines to serve as an intelligence analyst during humanitarian aid operations. This event began to turn the tide of my life when I realized how similar these poor people that had just lost everything in back to back to back Typhoons (Pacific Hurricanes) to the poor in my community back home. I began studying world histories. About a month later on Dec 26th Asia was ravaged by the Tsunami. I remember landing in a helicopter on this little strip of land in the middle of the ocean. As far my eyes allowed all I could see all around me was ocean. Over the headset the pilot told me we had just landed in the middle of what two days earlier had been a city. I have never cried this hard in my life. When I flew into Bandeh Aceh, Indonesia the smell of human lives lost was overwhelming. I met little girls who’s entire families were washed out to sea. I sat and cried and shared hugs with them. I felt this enormous never before felt connection to the people of this world. (by this time I’d had enough time to study and learn what was really going on in Iraq and know that I didn’t believe in being used by a government to commit acts of violence against people that were probably just like my family) I was asked to deploy to Iraq and I told the government I’d rather go to jail than set foot on any country as a occupier. Luckily they dropped their desire to have me go. “

Let’s see, the tsunami hit in 2004 with an unimaginable loss of life. I worked with some NGO’s and Life Vision International folks to get potable water purification units into the country – incredible people doing incredible work. Secondly, Connecticut lost two Marines during the initial move into Iraq at An Nasariyah and the potential phony association with this sorrow by Eddie is nothing short of desecration.
Anyway Eddie Pages is International ANSWER’S s dream veteran—his service was all a dream.

  13. March forward is for the veterans who think IVAW is too conservative. From what I’ve heard. I am obviously not a member.

Bill R: I’m not sure if you’re a veteran or not, but currently, for the military, “human trafficking” is a charge whether or not you personally have transported the humans. If a servicemember engages in prostitution with someone who is later found to have been transported there for the purpose, he has engaged in human trafficking.

  14. And I specifically see that Circello is dropping the IVAW tag on this group as well:

James is currently active with the Washington, D.C. chapter of Iraq Veterans Against the War and with the ANSWER Coalition…

So, anyone from IVAW want to disavow that IVAW has teamed up with these cats?

  15. Also, go read the 10 point plan, wherein they again get the name of the VA wrong (It is NOT an “administration” people) and also they want to do away with officer ranks.

  16. #1- University of Maryland is one of the largest providers of education services to Servicemembers worldwide. I attended in Germany in 1989-90 and again in Sinai- 97-98. Anybody on Active Duty knows that it takes yrs to complete your degree. I took 13yrs to finish mine.

#2- Marines assign newbies to Nuclear Duty, Embassy duty, and other high profile positions on a regular basis. I grew up in Concord, CA, home of Concord Naval Weapons Station. There was a Marine Security Company there for the expressed purpose of guarding he nuke bunkers. Plenty of PFCs in the mix as they were always crawling around the local HS cruising for chicks.

#3- In no way does this constitute a defense for this douchebag. The Marines are smart and do not give these assclowns a soapbox to preach on.

  17. If ANSWER organizes a protest, IVAW is always there to support them. Remember when ANSWER marched on the Pentagon? Twice? IVAW was with them every step of the way. IVAW is indifferent from this group of supposed veterans.

  18. Eddie Pages in comparison to Geoff Millard, James Gilligan, Matthis Chiroux …. what’s the difference?

  19. TSO: Yeah, I’ll disavow it. Whatever Circello may say. He may be a member of both, but it doesn’t mean that the two are the same.

Much like, you know, I’m an American Legion member, but I’m sure you’d be the first to disavow that the American Legion works with IVAW…

  20. You sure you want to play that game?

Ok, sign up at this site and mention you are a TAL member. Then let me know where it is and we can play a game.

  21. Bill R: I’m not sure if you’re a veteran or not, but currently, for the military, “human trafficking” is a charge whether or not you personally have transported the humans. If a servicemember engages in prostitution with someone who is later found to have been transported there for the purpose, he has engaged in human trafficking.

Yeah, I’ve spent time in the P.I. and a lot of time in Korea. Human trafficking is moving girls across international borders for the purposes of prostitution. It is not the same as taking a girl from the bar to the hotel down the street. There are hundreds and hundreds of philippinas in Japan and Korea for that purpose and that is the standard for human trafficking.

  22. Bill, trying to debate AS on something like this (while admirable) is akin to slamming body parts in a desk drawer. Sure, you want to do it, but it will just leave you dull and aching.

She just makes up laws as she goes along.

  23. TSO, I believe you, but taking a Filipina from the bar to a Phillippine hotel will fall under the ‘new’ rules about GIs engaging in prostitution but does not fall under human trafficking laws by any stretch of the imagination.

  24. Anybody know if the Marines will allow u to reenlist for a different MOS, especially coming from an 0300ish MOS. Do they go to Huachuca like the Army does…how long does that take…does his timeline match up. U can’t have an Intell guy, regardless of rank publishing anything that can be used against them. I’m surprised this douchbag even traied to post anything.

  25. you can reenlist into a different MOS, but in order to be an 0231 (Intel Analyst), especially as a prior service guy, you need a super clean bill of health performance wise. they’re not gonna let a guy who has a bunch of NJPs or a guy with a history of complaining about “hazing” get one of the most coveted MOS’s in the Marine Corps just by signing up. plus you need an ASVAB score of a 91 minimum, and the MOS school is almost a year long. I haven’t read his myspace stuff, but I’m not sure all of this will fit his timeline.

  26. Actually, AS is correct. DoD’s definition of Human Trafficking includes engaging the services of a prostitute.

  27. Also, go read the 10 point plan, wherein they again get the name of the VA wrong (It is NOT an “administration” people).

Actually, it looks like they got the administration part right, but screwed up the middle. The Department of Veterans Affairs has three main “entities” within it that operate pretty much separately:

VHA- Veterans Health Administration, hospitals, clinics, healthcare

VBA- Veterans Benefits Administration- disability compensation, survivor’s benefits, VA pensions, GI Bill, home loans, etc.

National Cemetery Administration- pretty self explanatory

From my reading of the ten point plan, #5 was complaining about VHA but calling it VAA.

  28. Nice try, but it says:
should automatically receive lifetime compensation from the VA

That falls under VGA, you can’t use “Admin” when referring to different entities within DVA.

  29. OK, I looked at it again and you are half right. They referred to programs/activities of both VBA and VHA. Not the entire Department of Veterans Affairs though- there wasn’t any mention of better funding for national cemeteries in #5. So, they would have been more accurate if they specified that they want “adequate funding for the Veterans Health Administration and Veterans Benefits Administration”.

  30. Wow. That is the most ridiculous defense I have seen from someone not army sergeant. Congrats. I always use the singular (administration) when referring to two administrations within one department, I think that makes total sense.

Which is why I never refer to the Department of Defense or Housing or anything else, I refer to all the things within it using the singular, even when I mean all of them collectively. Perfect sense.

  31. Now, TSO, take a deep breath. You just can’t let this type of crap get to you. Why not study civil procedure for a while to take your mind off this stuff?

  32. LOL
Sorry susan, stressed out today. Feel better when Romo throws 3 TDs and I can go to bed a fantasy (football) winner.

  33. even when I mean all of them collectively

You actually are kind of making my point TSO, they aren’t referring to all of the Department of Veterans Affairs. They weren’t accurate in what they wrote, but they weren’t wrong in the way that you stated either.

  34. Funny, my in-laws are from the Philippines. I only hear good things about the U.S.–how we set up a public school system, liberated them from the Japanese, etc. I guess my in-laws never saw the “suffering” aspect like Eddie did. Nor do any of our relatives who still live there.

  35. if i were you i would not believe much of what comes out of Priscilla lounds mouth. I have had the unfortunate pleasure of meeting this woman many times and have found that most of what she is about and what she says and what she believes is a lie………. shame on you i say….she likes to twist and contort things i have noticed… seems as though she is looking for pity. and she claims to fight for ending hate and whatnot yet every other word out of her mouth when talking to her is hate. if you meet her i suggest you run the other way

  36. p.s i have also noticed that every time she talks to me and others about her time as a vet…. the story is always changing and it never stays the same.. BS radar really ringing its bells there

  37. Well were can on start on Priscilla Lounds. She lied on being in the military 4yrs she was only in for 2yrs 7mos that it. She was not asked to go to NCO school and oh ay Vet stat on being a vet is a medical discharge counted. Yes i new her fors years and very thing that come out of her mouth is BS.

  38. This ain't Hell, but you can see it from here » Blog Archive » A whole new set of liars I was suggested this web site by my cousin. I’m not sure whether this post is written by him as nobody else know such detailed about my difficulty. You’re amazing! Thanks! your article about This ain't Hell, but you can see it from here » Blog Archive » A whole new set of liarsBest Regards Cindy
