Army Officer accused of spying on girls

Lieutenant Colonel Jacob Sweatland, who is an Army officer related to ROTC, California Polytechnic State University, called a store and asked if they found his “key fob.” They told him that they found it and that he could come in to get it. However, when he arrived, he saw law enforcement and attempted to get away. Law enforcement caught up to him.

From the Army Times:

Police claim Lt. Col. Jacob Sweatland, 39, called the store in Pismo Beach, California, asking whether anyone had found what he called his “key fob.”

Police were investigating the matter after a preteen girl found the device — and local law enforcement reviewed the contents of the device, which included images from dressing rooms from multiple stores.

Cal Coast News, an online news source for San Luis Obispo County, previously reported on Sweatland’s charges and arrest.

A clerk at the store, working with the police, instructed Sweatland that he could pick up the device from the store. When Sweatland saw law enforcement at the business, he fled on foot, according to the report. It took authorities 20 minutes to track down Sweatland, He was arrested and charged with resisting arrest and invasion of privacy by recording in a dressing room.

Both crimes, according to the report, are misdemeanors. In line with current California laws, Sweatland could be eligible for misdemeanor diversion, according to the report. He would divert his sentence for one year while following all laws and completing a community service requirement.

Having read the alledged investigation there was NO, photos, NO Pre-Teens around or in the rooms and above all this is all rumors and speculation against a senior Ranking Combat Veteran highly decorated. The DA is Dan Dow, also a Veteran who has been caught Lying, cheating making fake and false charges againt many people and is currently under a probe for many vioaltions of the UCMJ and Army Regulations and has lost several major cases by the two top courts in Calif.

    1. I understand that Dan Dow has made public statements against the BLM organization and that seems to have caused a lot of back lash. It appears that BLM may very well be a victim of their own creation. Very few people take that organization seriously anymore.

      Dan Dow is not subject to the authority of the UCMJ in any manner so he can not be under a probe for any violations of it.

      Karen Velie I know nothing about. She may very well drink, I would venture a guess that she probably does not drink more than I do.

      I am not sure what that has to do with charges brought against Jacob Sweatland. There are any number of other credible sources that verify the story, Google is your friend here.

Now since LTC J.J. Sweatland is still NOT Guilty he will be entering the US VTC, Military Diversion and will get all the Mental Help he needs, remember Innocent until proven GUILTY.     Remember he like many others have served our Great Nation for 20 Years as a seniour Officer, multipile Combat Tours in Combat Operations that most of you would never understand.

      Not sure how he did 20 years as a senior officer but now that I know that I think he might 12% less guilty… or more guilty I mean since he was supposed to setting the example. Certainly I would never understand doing multiple combat tours because jeez, nobody has done that lately. Let’s wave the PTSD flag and thank him for his service…. right after he is fairly sentenced and registered as a sex offender to help him remind him to stay from dressing rooms, schools and day care centers.
