He didn’t ask me to post this, in fact he doesn’t know I know… and now you know.

I have what apparantly is a large mass of Cancer in my Left Lung. I will have to travel to have a biopsy, possibly a PET Scan, and more.
I don’t want to put a big burden on anyone, and I think that with the friends that I have, that this can be spread around. I have my own casket, and want to be buried in the Glendale Memorial Nature Preserve where my son requested to be bured. That expense is minimal, (compared to regular cemeteries), at but $1,800 to open and close a grave, and the gravesite is free of charge.
I don’t usually post GFM stuff but this man contributed so much and asked for nothing in return.  Posted his first comment on 2008/09/23 at 3:27 pm

  9. I had misgivings about bring this up to you guys (it wasn’t my place to do so but I thought about reaching out to you all) as Frankee and I have been talking offline and this makes my heart glad (Not the cancer you DOLTS, but that you posted this.)
    Frankie has been a LONG time contributor and lurker here and I know there was some recent dick swinging and I’m glad that’s not in the way of letting folks know what is going on with Frankie because I KNOW there are folks here that know and care for him and will really want to know his current status.
    Good on you for doing this Dave.
    I love you guys.

    1. Chip, do you know if Frankie was in Vietnam? If so, that lung cancer will qualify him for 100% service-connected disability and full care from the VA. Any cancer of the airway is presumed to be associated with exposure to Agent Orange, so there’s no argument from the VA as to whether he’s covered.

      In addition to covering all his medical care, he’ll get over 4K per month disability compensation.

      1. I am (gonna did in real time) ask but I know he’s currently getting VA treatment but for the life of me, I know he’s very attached to the Ranger troops and school and families in Florida but I am at best, uncertain about his service experience.
        I know he has a variety of services afforded him thru the VA but at what level, I don’t know.
        I’m quite familar (now) since last Summer with the VA Clinical and C&P sides of the house for my own issues.
