Christmas to all you deplorables

I normally don’t do Sunday columns. I figure with Boomer’s Sunday, no one would bother to read them, right? But seeing as how it’s Christmas:

Merry Christmas to all you ‘deplorables who cling to your guns and Bibles’ in flyover land. Also to those of you behind enemy lines in places like the People’s Republik of Maryland, Newsom’s Nightmare, Taxachusetts, etc.

Thanks to Ed and the other editors for putting up with my drivel, you who grace my pages with your attention, and a special call-out to  Jeff LPH who sends me story sources routinely.

Thanks as well to my family for putting up with me lo these many years… we were just two Army kids who thought marriage was a sweet idea. She still unfathombly tolerates me, too.  Not sure how we somehow generated a small clan?

Hope all have a Merry Christmas. Remember what we are celebrating, cherish your friends and families, and especially, remember all those kids serving “out there” who enable us to be grateful.

I write this Saturday before heading to Christmas Eve services… guess I get to look the fool yet another year – when I hold the candle and “Silent Night” plays, I cry like a kid. It’s all just joy.

*** replaced Christmas tree with Santa…I’d claim it was a selfie but I’d have to grow a beard, lose weight, change dogs, get taller, change clothes, lighten my hair (not to mention grow it) – otherwise the black Jack looks identical.

    2. Fascinating! Thanks for posting. My 84 y/o eyes can’t distinguish many constellations now, but I believe they are still remaining where our Creator placed them. Merry Christmas everyone. God bless you and yours.
