Comedian Rob Riggle – His Time in the Marine Corps

Who doesn’t know the actor and comedian Rob Riggle? He appeared in popular films such as “The Hangover” and “The Other Guys.”

“The Hangover” – Police Station Scene

“The Other Guys” – ‘Desk Pop’ Scene

What may not be known is Riggle had a full career in the Marine Corps reaching the rank of LtCol.

Here is a rare interview with Riggle reflecting upon his time in the service and his journey into comedy and film.

Perhaps the best clip of Rob Riggle was in his early days when he went undercover to interview people opposed to a US Marine Corps recruiting office in Berkeley, California.

    1. Yes, he was a Public Affairs Officer (PAO) in the Marine Corps Reserve. I believe he was activated to active duty at least one time, maybe several but I’m not totally clear on that. He has a Combat Action Ribbon from his time in Kosovo. He also has an Afghanistan Campaign Medal along with a Kosovo Campaign Medal.

    2. He did 8 years active then went reserve, and after 9/11/2001 he went back on active duty for a couple more years.

    1. People praising Vindictive-man?
In the immortal words of Bugs Bunny, “They don’ know him vewy well, do they?”

      1. Not everyone in those replies is praising Vindman. I think the John C Reilly “looking bewildered” meme was my favorite response.

  1. “Who doesn’t know the actor…” I REALLY need to get out more. Never heard of him. But now that I’ve clicked on the tube of ewe, I guess I’ll have everyone out there popo up now.

BZ, Good Sir, for not forgetting your roots.
