Armed ANTIFA personnel guard ‘kid friendly’ drag show

A drag show event was hosted in Roanoke, TX, that included families and children. Armed ANTIFA personnel were present to protect those involved, even escorting attendants to their vehicles. In one of the tweets, a drag queen is described as holding a child around the waist as a parent aims her phone to take a picture.

The event called the Barrel Babes Drag Brunch was advertised as “Dancing Music and Laughs.” Journalist Taylor Hansen said that the “kid-friendly” event featured “Vulgarity, Sexualization of Minors, and Partial Nudity.”

Protestors outside the event were spit on and confronted by activists who support “kid friendly” drag brunches.

Upon learning of the event, Protect Texas Kids, founded by Kelly Neidert, organized a “pop-up protest” outside the venue.

In response, Antifa organized its members to support the drag event. According to The Post Millennial’s editor-at-large Andy Ngo “The local chapter of the John Brown Gun Club, an #Antifa militia linked to domestic terrorism, led the call to direct action.”

Kris Cruz from Blaze TV reported that Antifa militants armed with AR-15s acted as “bodyguards” and escorted attendees to their vehicles. He added that Antifa and the staff worked together to provide “protection” for attendees.

Kruz also reported that Antifa was placed strategically during the “kid friendly” drag show and “was armed like snipers on the 3rd floor of the parking garage.”

The militants were reportedly directly targeting Neidert and Protect Texas Kids. Antifa has consistently and persistently targeted Neidert.

  3. Right, wrong, or indifferent: They have every right to carry (open, concealed) in this Great State of Ours. (assuming they legally can).

    Whether it pains me to say that or not.

    1. I thought along similar lines, regarding the weapons. The bigger concern is that many among ANTIFA have criminal records outside of riots. There is a good chance that many of them are carrying illegally, and that many of them are also “groomers”. They identify with the far left and their leaders lean towards socialism/Marxism.

      They are one of the US’s versions of the Collectivos (Venezuela). They (ANTIFA) even refer to themselves as collectives. The Collectivos were among those that the Venezuelan government agents released onto the public when the later protested a government action. It did not help the public’s side that weapons were taken out of the law abiding citizen’s hands.

      What we’ve seen with ANTIFA/BLM, and some politician/law enforcement action related to them, is warming up for when they’re similarly used in the U.S.

        1. If I’m not mistaken, Texas is a constitutional carry state now, but only for those legally authorized.

          1. It is CC but there are still conditions which disallow it. The point is that even if their carry is legal, while masked to conceal their identity, that os illegal.

Back in the early 60’s when young Poe was a hard drinking, hell raising ex-paratrooper in West Texas, the generally accepted wisdom among us townies was that oilfield roughnecks were tough, but the toughest opponents in a barroom brawl were usually the cowboys from the surrounding ranches, who, as GB states, wouldn’t back down from anybody.

        Plus, a lot of ’em are smallish, and ol’ Poe can tell you, it’s embarrassing as hell to get your clock cleaned by a guy a head shorter and thirty pounds lighter than you, to the amusement of a room full of drunks cheering for and betting on the smaller underdog… 😖

    I would have liked Texas LEO to check the legality of their carry, but there is a rabbit hole that can lead the wrong direction. (perhaps there can be some after-the fact check?)

    And I would like it if the parents had not taken their children to this grooming event – but parents are in control of what their children see.
    I taught a couple of kids at a classical Christian school whose father is an uber-woke professor at our local U. The boy (an Eagle Scout) now has decided he is a girl and changed his name, sadly. I’m hoping his younger sister is on birth control for I fear she’s ‘liberated’ as well. Watching how Dad’s stupidity is destroying his kids is a tragedy, a slow-moving train-wreck that will destroy their lives.

    But the mold spores are landing all over the place and contaminating our great country. We need the Lysol of truth and light to shine on these things.

  8. There’s a lot more going on with this shit show than a kid friendly fun time. A kid friendly drag show is like taking your child to a kid friendly strip joint. And to have their security loaded out like an Infantry plt. is not something I would have a child anywhere near. But that’s just me.
