Navy Vet Runs Scam on Government for Over $1MIL

Federal authorities are saying that a Navy veteran attempted to scam the government out of over one million dollars.

From American Military News:

Navy vet lied about paralysis, crash with drunk driver in $1 million scheme, feds say

A Navy veteran faked dozens of medical records claiming she had “grave health” issues, and lied about a drunk driver hitting her car while on active duty, as part of a scheme to steal over $1 million from the government, federal officials in Maryland say.

The woman also admitted to helping her then-husband and dad, both military veterans, to get more than a half million dollars in veteran disability benefits they weren’t entitled to, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Maryland said in a March 11 news release.

Angela Marie Farr, age 36, of Leonardtown, pleaded guilty to organizing the conspiracy to steal at least $1,010,000 from both the U.S. Department of Veteran’s Affairs and the Social Security Administration, the office said. She served in the Navy from 2005 until 2007 before she was “administratively discharged.”

Then…

Farr proceeded to forge over 70 pages, claiming they were from the Navy, that were “purportedly authored by criminal investigators, psychologists, and physical therapists,” the agreement said. As a result, the VA rated her as 70% disabled.

At least she was committed.

Apparently she plead guilty to some of the charges, so her guilt is no longer in question.  It is a simple matter of the sentence.

If convicted on all counts she pleaded guilty to, she could face a maximum 15 years in federal prison, prosecutors said. Her sentencing is scheduled for August 4.

  1. This despicable skrunt is an example of why we can’t nice things. IIRC, we had a motion, a SECOND, and an AYE on this bitch for a Deployment of the TAH As(s)teroid of Insults the other day.

ChipNASA…FIRE MISSION FIRE MISSION FIRE MISSION! You are cleared HOT!

I’m sure that Strap on Sally and Muff Dive Molly will enjoy the new addition to the Cell Block.

    1. Angela Marie Farr of Leonardtown Maryland deserves the AoI because Angela Marie Farr of Leonardtown Maryland is a thief.

Also Angela Marie Farr of Leonardtown, Maryland is a liar.

I hope Angela Marie Farr of Leonardtown Maryland learns her lesson while incarcerated.

Edit: that is to say, Second!

    2. She will be the center of attention in the prison cellblock adaptation/remake of the Bruce Lee classic “Fists of Fury”.
Everybody will give her a hand.

  2. Baltimore, Maryland – A federal grand jury returned an indictment charging Angela Marie Farr, a/k/a Angela Pace, Angela Mullins, and Angela Biggs, age 33, of Leonardtown, Maryland; Michael Vincent Pace, age 39, of Leonardtown, Maryland, and Mary Francis Biggs, age 62, of Lexington Park, Maryland with conspiracy and theft of government property. Farr was also charged with aggravated identity theft and social security fraud.

That many names is a HUGE red flag!

    1. You know how some of the great bands that you loved years ago release a greatest hits album, which you already have different versions (radio version, live version, disco version and extended dance mix), but then they throw in one or two new songs so you have to buy the album to have a complete library? It’s kind of like that.

      1. Nah, it’s more akin to buying a new book from Amazon, then finding out it’s the same book you already bought last year … but has a different cover.

            1. Cannot believe you might be willing to part with $ 22.95 to obtain a copy and then send it to him for an autograph.

              1. Hell yeah!

A poser collection would be sweet! In my time on TAH, I have seen maybe10-12 clown that have written books about complete and utter bullshit. Crazy stuff!

I am a closet bibliophile. I would put it on the my “Bookshelf of Shame”.

  3. Scammers gotta scam…

Did she claim to be an “Honorary Chief” from the NANP?

  4. Is it really fair to refer to her as a “Navy Vet” considering she was booted out after two years? How about “Navy Reject” or something like that.

It just seems wrong to refer to someone like that with the same title bestowed upon someone who served their full enlistment and was discharged honorably.
