With all the news of Russia-Ukraine, this story barely raised a blip on the radar, but… Jussie Smollett was sentenced.  Smollett is to serve 150 days of jail time, 30 months probation and restitution – paying back the city of Chicago $120K.

“You were throwing a national pity party for yourself,” Linn said. The judge also told Smollett that a side of him is “profoundly arrogant and selfish and narcissistic.”

Smollett opted to not make a statement before the sentence was announced, but once he learned his fate he began yelling in the courtroom that he was “not suicidal.”

He also stated before the court: “And I am not suicidal. And if anything happens to me when I go in there, I did not do it to myself. And you must all know that.”

He just wanted to make that clear.

In spite of his conviction and sentencing, Smollett continued to claim he is innocent.  Just before he was taken into custody, the actor yelled again that he was innocent and raised a fist in the air.

If we were to believe Jussie’s innocence, that means there are still a couple of “light-skinned” people wandering around the streets with MAGA hats on looking for their next victim.
