Biden’s gas prices soar

Biden Is An Idiot.jpg
Biden Is An Idiot.jpg

Over the weekend, the Poles said that it was “fake news” that they were considering sending Soviet-era fighter jets they still operate to Ukraine. Hours later, Secretary of State Blinkin was on the news shows saying that we’re in talks with the Polish to have them send their Soviet aircraft to Ukraine and we’d back fill with American-made fighters. You can’t make this up, folks.

While our foreign policy continues to sink to new levels, gas prices have soared like Chuck Yeager taking an F-104 out for a spin. We’re up to $130/barrel. That translates to a national average to more than $4 a gallon. NPR says that the previous record, from 2008, when adjusted for inflation would be $5.37 today. Let that sink in for a moment. Bidenflation is so bad that the dollar has lost 20%.

Good news though, the Brandon Administration has a plan. Reopen the construction on the Keystone XL? Drill ANWR? Open season on fracking? Of course not! They sent a delegation down to Venezuela to negotiate with the brutal, illegitimate dictator Maduro. The thought is that we’ll loosen sanctions on Venezuela to buy their oil. Brilliant!

Even better is that Maduro’s economy has been getting propped up by Russia for years, putting them in billions of dollars of debt. Maduro has been outspokenly in support of Putin’s illegal invasion of Ukraine. So to punish Russia, we’re going to buy oil from Venezuela, who can then pay Russia back what they’re owed.

You can’t make this up, folks. In my wildest imagination, I could not have dreamed up a scenario in which Biden would have screwed not just the US up, but the world, in such a short period of time.

  1. As for the F-16, as well as most issues surrounding Ukraine, these people can’t keep their mouths shut.

  2. FJB, I wonder how much in kickbacks he, his family and many a D-rat politician in charge are getting in kickbacks over this? Foreign Oil doesn’t burn any differently than what’s produced in the USA, and I could really go for some mean tweets and $1.75 a gallon gas right now!

  3. C’mon, man. It’s not like he begging the Mad Mullahs in Iran for oil, or that bastion of human rights Saudi Arabia.

    Oh, wait…

    1. Are we sure it isn’t bho calling the shots? At this rate, Biden will be worse than Carter which will make bho happy to be relieved of that title.

      1. It is. If you look closely, you can see Obama’s hand up Biden’s ass. It is the third illegitimate term of Homey da Klown. Many of the actions the senile fake pres has taken closely resemble the things Homey did when he was ruining America.

  4. Gas has doubled in many parts of Texas. It won’t be long before the average here will be four dollars a gallon like twenty other states.

    1. Think about Hawaii!

It was over 6 bucks out their back in the day during the recession hiccup.

      1. I was there 2002-09. This is why I bought the smallest Toyota available at the time. 45 mpg and paid for it in cash.

        Still got it too.

        1. Word.

Got a lemon lot ride myself.

Recycled beer cans and bottles, though. Pretty much covered fuel.

      1. Same here in South Central TX. In the span of a few hours, gas went from $3.59 to $3.69.

  5. C’mon man! Pete Butt-gig has the solution if you can’t afford $5 a gallon. Just buy and electric car.

The average transaction price for an electric vehicle (EV) is $56,437, according to Kelley Blue Book — roughly $10,000 higher than the overall industry average of $46,329 that includes gas and EVs. In terms of pricing, an EV is equivalent to an entry-level luxury car.”

To summarize, if you can’t spend $5 a gallon you should pony up $56K for an EV. It will probably take 6 months or more to arrive. Eff the entire Brandon Administration. It’s their mess…but Orange Man Bad.

    1. I’d rather drive a 1993 Geo Metro in “The Boys down at the bath house all know me by name’ blue than drive an electric skate.

        1. I have a 1955 CJ-3B. Cute little 4 cylinder engine. 134 cubic inches of Willys Hurricane power. Fuel efficient? Hell no. Maybe 12 mpg with a fresh tuneup

          1. Yeah, like my ’47 with a Hurricane engine that’s all MADE IN USA.

            1. You can do a complete engine rebuild with a screwdriver, channellocks, and crescent wrench.

        2. Nice, I have a ’47 CJ2a and I saw a picture of the dash of one that had a sticker saying “NO AIRBAGS, we die like men”!

    2. Hell, even gas powered trucks are on a 6-8 month wait list. And that’s if you’re willing to pay $20k over MSRP.

    3. I’m watching Tim Pool’s livestream (plz don’t judge) and he’s saying the twatterverse is asking Elon to ‘turn off’ all the Teslas in Russia.

      He hasn’t responded.

But the idea that: 1) people would advocate for things based on their whims, and 2) its even possible…

      Screw that noise!

      1. I like Tim Pool. Probably the only decent guy in the center of the political spectrum.

    4. Sure, buy that electric car/truck. Just remember, the best way to charge it isn’t with the extension cord(s) you have tucked away, but with a charging station. Price? I don’t know, I didn’t look it up before posting. DIY friendly? Not everybody is an electrician, and install would depend on local market prices.

Screw but plug. His transportation costs aren’t coming out of his pocket.

      1. One site says that, using a regular plug to charge your EV will take approximately 20 hours to get a full charge in the EV. A level two charger can do the same charge in half the time. A level 2 charger will cost about $3500, right now. That’s cost and installation.
And, it’s recommended that you put your EV in a controlled environment place. I don’t know if they mean storing the EV in the house when not driving it, or making the garage just like the house, insulated, walled and heated/airconditioned.

  6. You think gas is bad?! Check out the London Metal Exchange prices for various commodities. Nickel was up at one point 80+% w/w because of this blockade we’re running on the Russians. The titanium market is going to go ballistic, platinum, wheat, corn, oats,…Japanese lanterns!

Many futures contracts are being restricted on grains where they can only close positions, i.e. no buying insurance of higher future prices (some many say this is to tamp down prices and stop speculators, which is cute, but that’s not how it really works).

Now I’m no scientist or wall street investment guru, but I took a chunk of cash out of TSP and I’m monetizing it, by which I mean I am buying gold. My TSP hasn’t performed anyway and the tax hit, ability to ride down the deflationary cycle on the backside of whatever comes next, is worth it.

    I need more whiskey.

****This isn’t financial advice. Don’t listen to me you’ll lose everything including your hair.****

    1. An addendum to my metals rant: I have an ammo can filled with nickels, 3,040 of them at $152 face value.

      Scrap value is $264.

FYI: it is ‘illegal’ to melt down US coinage for the metals… on US soil. maybe, IDK. Not a lawer (sic)

      1. Now, most coinage is copper/zinc sandwich and I’d imagine that nickels don’t contain much, if any nickel. All this to say, how the hell would anybody know that you melted down coinage for scrap? And, by the way, you spelled lawer correctly. 😂

    2. If the Ukraine falls, most of the crap that is used to make electric car batteries will fall behind Russian lines.

      1. Got that right. Also for ICE vehicles and emissions controls, Russia is the #2 exporter of Platinum-group metals.

I’m old enough to remember when the US’s sovereignty wasn’t for sale.

  7. I saw a lady that was in front of me yelling at the cashier at a gas station about vandalism on the gas pumps yesterday.

After she angrily slammed the door of her Prius and drove off, I walked up to her pump station to see what it was she was being so bitchy about.

I laughed at the Biden “I Did That” sticker pointing at $4.02 for Regular Unleaded.

      1. “The left has no sense of humor.”

Driving a Prius will do that to you… 😜

        1. 2006 Prius owner here… she 😠 was probably one of many frustrated leftists who blindly voted for Brandon. I’ve got a Trump sticker on mine and always “drive it like I stole it”. 😱
$4.09 yesterday at COSTCO here in the Pacific NW.

    1. Hope he told her to fuck off. That would be the correct response for such a critter.

    1. LBJ is still the most destructive POTUS post WW2. Possibly also the most disgusting on a personal level.

      1. Hey, doesn’t everybody have their staff in the shitter to take dictation while they drop a deuce?🤣

  8. “Reopen the construction on the Keystone XL? Drill ANWR? Open season on fracking?”

Those options are for reasonable, rational-thinking leaders. Of which we have NONE. As all this is happening in Ukraine, John SOB Kerry is only concerned with the war’s impact on climate change. CC is the only thing keeping him afloat and if that goes away, he’s out of a job. Note to Kerry, should the Russians use even a tactical nuke, your climate change, made-up algorithms all go out the window, along with the rest of the world mind you.

No this bunch of folks, posing as a government administration, have only liberal, leftist answers to everything. Making America oil independent again is not even in their catalog. Making us more dependent on everyone for everything is their goal. They want us to turn ourselves over to the UN to be the providers to the world at our expense.

Of course, they still get to stay in the ecstasy of power while we serfs pay the price and the agony.

    1. Old Fart’s Disease strikes again. I meant to post this in the thread on the Ukraine article… 😖 😖 😖

    2. If the Ukraine BDA numbers are even close this is an unprecedented disaster for Russia.

  9. Because I’m active duty and won’t use contemptuous speech, I will simply hit random letters on my keyboard to express my frustration.

  10. Mason, you forgot to mention that the Brandon regime is negotiating to include in their deal with Iran purchase of Iranian oil. Also, Brandon is going to Saudi Arabia to ask them to increase their crude output. Anyone suppose the progs want gasoline so expensive people will stop driving anything that isn’t an EV? Excluding the rich ruling class/elite of course. Remember Buttplug just told us plebes that if we don’t like gas prices, just go buy a new EV.

    1. I wonder if EV’s use ATF in their transmissions.
I just paid $8.79 for a quart of off brand.
How about brake fluid? They can’t stop with regenerative
braking alone. How about grease and other petroleum
products that go into anything that moves. Sheeesh.

      1. Most all electric vehicles are direct drive and have no transmission. Only hybrids will have a transmission requiring ATF. Electric motors directly drive one or more axles. Although, heavier vehicles may have a reduction gear to initiate movement of the vehicle.

  11. I’ve watched gas prices go up someshere betweeen $0.50and $0.60 cents a gallon in the last week… and it’s still rising ($0.05 yesterday alone).

    Fuck Brandon!

  12. Latest polls reported by NPR suggest Biden’s approval rating jumped after his State of Confusion speech.

    I just don’t see how that’s possible.

  13. I grew up in ’70 & ’80’s in Delaware, and I can remember my dad the cop cursing Jimmy Carter and that bleed-heart liberal (remember that term) Joe Biden. We liked (R) Sen. Bill Roth whose legacy is the The Roth IRA. Creepy Joe’s legacy will be how he screwed up everything in just over a year and not only matched Carter’s poor performance but flew past him. Let’s hope we get another Reagan afterwards, say my now Gov. DeSantis, to come in and right the ship.

  14. Now he is talking about banning Russian imports without changing any other policy. Oil has already jumped another $8. I always suspected Joe of being one of the dumbest men on the planet. Now we know.

  15. PINO Joey & Phull of Pshit Psaki keeps gaslighing w/ how under this admin, the US is pumping more oil than ever, but that just isn’t so. The Energy Information Administration has consistently had oil production in the last 14 mos below the Trump Admin levels by about 1.5 million barrels per day.

    1. She is lying about the pipeline too. She keeps saying it won’t effect “US production”. This is completely false. The shortage of truckers has caused producers to slow down. Supply is also taking an extra hit because trucks use fuel to ship fuel. So instead of an inexpensive and “green” way to ship fuel we are burning it up to deliver it, having the opposite of the intended effect.

The pipeline was also about Canadian Production and delivery. Without the pipeline several producers shut down planned projects tightening the supply even more.

  16. US News and World Report … May 25, 2018:
“Gas Prices Rise, and Democrats Point the Finger at Trump”

With millions of Americans set to hit the road Memorial Day Weekend and prices at the pump cresting $3 per gallon, top Senate Democrats on Wednesday traded the august halls of the Capitol for a noisy local thoroughfare to “Demand Lower Gas Prices.

(article features Senators Shumer, Cantwell and Menendez)

  17. Is it just me, but I haven’t seen the usual cast of characters drop in to opine about our news source links being wrong, how some of us haven’t a clue, etc, etc, etc.

    Seems kinda quiet.

  18. An interesting story. Maybe my link skills are improving? Or everybody gets porno.

    Posting comment to see.
