There apparently was confusion about steak at the Golden Corral at Bensalem, PA. In one account, someone apparently cut in line to get steak. In another account, someone ordered his stake rare, got it first, and was assumed to get his before others without the understanding that he wanted his steak “rare”.

The video shows chairs being lifted in the air. In another part of the video, someone said that all they wanted was a steak. Some of the people interviewed; however, placed the blame on the customers for behaving this way rather than on the issue related to the steak.

(NEWSER) — Patrons at a Golden Corral in Bensalem, Pa., were treated to a brawl with their buffet late last week, with police and witnesses pointing to a misunderstanding over steak as the tipping point. Bensalem Director of Public Safety William McVey says the incident took place around 4:30pm on Friday, per the Bucks County Courier Times, which notes that a Facebook video of the fight soon went viral. That footage has since been taken down, according to the person who shot it, but CBS Philly has a clip, showing people screaming and cursing, throwing punches, and hurling chairs, high chairs, and tables.

One man can be heard in the video saying, “All I wanted was some steak!” And indeed, that’s what started it all, according to Alexis Rios, who tells WPVI he was on line at the buffet when a customer in front of him became peeved with the cook because Rios got his steak first; Rios explains he’d ordered his meat rare, so his order was completed more quickly. He believes the face masks everyone was wearing exacerbated the situation. “With COVID right now, masks and everything, nobody can hear … sometimes,” he says.

  3. I mistakenly thought this was a new movie. A sequel to “Gunfight at the OK Corral.”

  4. The reporter referred to this as a ‘food fight’ but it technically was not when a baby’s height chair got involved. It was a fight about food which technically is not a food fight.

    A food fight is when a donut gets bounced off your head, or your face gets dunked in the chocolate fondue fountain.

    Just wanted to correct the record.

    1. You just know there’s a high percentage chance that there are a few military POSers involved.

      They’ve got to figure out a way to sue Golden Corral so they ruin it for everybody.

    2. Rumors are floating around that members if MEAL team 6 were there. We do have confirmed reports of the 750# Rotund Ranger Regiment and 82nd helping Chairborne division at the battle.

      1. They ran out of ammunition when all the height chairs were expended in the battle. They then resorted to pelting people with ketchup packets but that failed to stop the advancing enemy.

Not “we” Rod–these public brawling videos almost always involve a particular demographic in the instigator/aggressor role–with fights at sporting events being the rare exception and even many of those are initiated by that particular demographic, frequently against members of other demographics.

      Such antisocial behavior has become so common, you can be fairly certain before you even view the video who the primary players are going to be.

      When society refuses to punish this sort of antisocial behavior, society gets more such antisocial behavior, much, much more antisocial behavior, as we are witnessing now on a daily basis.

      3. In most instances I would agree with you Poe, however this happened in the Philadelphia burb’s. In that particular locale, crazy doesn’t respect racial lines. They are all totally nuts. One interviewee responded when asked if he had been injured, “No I didn’t get hurt, just a black eye and some bruises.” Just a normal day in the city of Brotherly Love.

        1. You’re correct in a sense, PJS–the current mayor is a Republican–but precise location has little to do with this phenomena. It happens in airports, train stations, retail stores, restaurants, bars, stadiums, on airplanes. buses, subways, cruise ships, at beach resorts…you name it.

          It’s not the place–it’s the presence of that particular demographic, and mostly when they are present in superior numbers in the immediate situation.

          1. Just went on line to see if you meant the Mayor of Philadelphia, a diehard Democrat who essentially outlawed soda through draconian taxes while he hands out needles to heroin addicts. Anyway, the Mayor of Bensalem, Joseph DiGirolamo, has been in office 28 years. He probably couldn’t all of his goal accomplished in only seven terms.

      They opened a Golden Corral about only six miles from my peaceful little neighborhood. Within about a year, it was taken over by a certain demographic. We stopped going there when all got was dirty looks when we walked in and couldn’t get the waitress to take our drink order.

      There are so many points of failure in the system and zeros-as-a-denominator coming home to roost.
