House passes bill that would fund an enhanced vaccination sharing database

The Immunization Infrastructure Modernization Act received enough votes to pass in the House. One of the aims of this bill is to fund this infrastructure. Another is to allow for the sharing of immunization records among medical organizations and associated government agencies. This would increase the ability to keep track of vaccines being administered. Those who voted against this bill argued that it potentially could inform the government on who the unvaccinated are.

From Newsmax:

The result of the provision expands the capabilities of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Public Health Department in sharing health data with the federal government.

Rep. Mary Miller, R-Ill., one of the 130 Republicans who voted “no,” told Breitbart on Wednesday that the legislation would enable the federal government to “track” unvaccinated Americans.

“These systems are designed to allow for the sharing of crucial information and maintenance of records. Do we really trust the government to protect our medical records?” Miller said.

Miller noted that the legislation provides blue states millions in taxpayer dollars to enforce vaccine mandates. The government may also develop “public-private partnerships” to help with “technical assistance, training, and related implementation support.”

Rep. Byron Donalds, R-Fla., who also voted “no,” said the legislation only serves to expand the power of the federal government and trample individual rights. He also cited fiscal concerns.

  1. Religious accomodations from your employer would have the same effect – that is, put you on a “list” for further threats and harassment. Freedom and privacy are dead and are not coming back. And remember…whatever the gubment can’t do the corporate “government” is more that happy to fill in the gaps.

  2. . Do we really trust the government to protect our medical records? – article

Do we trust them? Not just no, but ‘Hell’s bells, no!!!!”

  3. I heard a woman on the Todd Starnes or Mark Levin Show yesterday evening that she had called to complain to her congressional representatives about the Omicron uproar and that she was told by a congressional staffer “I understand your concern and we’re tracking it….*pause* Tracking what? The vaccine rate status, What you have a database? Yes, we’re tracking it. YOU HAVE A DATABASE OF WHO HAS THE VVACCINE AND WHO DOESN’T…THE GOVERNMENT AND YOU’RE TRACKING IT?!?!??! *yes*.”
NOW, it was hearsay and third party BUT who’s to say they weren’t lying?
Yeah, we’re already through the looking glass folks, long ago.

  4. What’s next, a requirement for the unvaxxed to wear a yellow patch on their clothing at all times?

    1. If you’re seriously comparing COVID-19 restrictions to the restrictions placed on the Jewish people by the Nazis, fuck all the way off. Your comparison is anti Semitic and extremely offensive. It implies that being Jewish is on par with carrying a deadly disease – an age-old anti Semitic trope.

I’ve reported your comment. If the Admins have any decency at all, they’ll ban you.

        1. XYZZY –
          From your linked article –
“They have spurred extremism, denialist ways of thinking and science-scepticism(sp). They have led to more antisemitism.”

          Then –

”They encourage people to distrust experts and the democratic institutions they advise. This distrust causes grave harm when people refuse to take the measures that will protect them and others from COVID-19, illness, and death.”

In the next paragraph, we have this quote from Dr. Wetzel. Was this quote delivered in the context of these vaccine mandates or conversations?

“The effect of Holocaust distortion is that it pushes the boundaries of what can be said,” Dr. Wetzel says. “The danger is that it becomes all too easy for antisemitic stereotypes to creep into the mainstream.”

Talk about conflating issues. Is Dr. Wetzel an immunologist, a virologist or even a medical doctor? No. She is a German historian. I would hope as such she would see – and call out – the dangerous parallels between the rise of Nazis pre-WWII and much of what we are seeing right here and now. This is what we all need to fear.

Inferring the draconian measures that have been instituted in many states, like mine, with holocaust denial is an insult to the descendants of Holocaust survivors and to intelligent people who rightly question the erosion of our rights. Rather, comparing how otherwise “good people” allowed themselves to turn on their friends and neighbors, deny their humanity and not just stand by but cheer with righteousness when those cast-outs had their rights, property, jobs, liberty and ultimately lives taken is the most important lesson to remember from the days leading up to WWII.

I am here only because my family escaped Europe. My great-aunt, the last family member to get out, returned after the war to search for family. She found the very villages and hamlets from which our families came gone, wiped off the map. Because they were “undesirables”. Because they did not and refused to conform to the dictates of “the government”, for the “good of the people”. And no, they were not Jewish.

Go ahead and report my comment too, because API’s comment has nothing to do with antisemitism. It is about how antisemitism became not just normalized, but just and right, and how the attitudes that allowed and engendered the Holocaust came about. Remember that the next time you hear our government officials talk about how the “unvaccinated” are infecting the vaccinated. Remember that the next time you hear an elected leader say, “as soon as the unvaccinated get the jab, we can all go back to normal.” Or, “wear a mask if you care about others.” Or, “get the vaccine so we can have a normal Holiday”. Or, “you can get together with others in your family who don’t live in your household as long as all of you are vaccinated.”

How about, you can’t go to a restaurant, concert, movie or event in many places unless you have “your papers”. This isn’t hyperbole, it is reality.

New Jersey Democrats locked the unvaccinated out of the state capitol before key votes – November 29,2021

From Germany – Merkel bans unvaccinated from all but essential businesses, restricts them to their homes, they are allowed to meet with maximum two other people from other households – December 3, 2021

Pelosi suggesting she could ban the unvaccinated from the House, maintains mask mandate, says she doesn’t trust “the honor system”, wants proof every member is vaccinated. Says to GOP members, “Don’t even come to the floor” if they are not vaccinated, and she won’t take their word for it if they say they are without proof – December 1, 2021

Since we are appealing to authority, I have a quote for you –
“Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it.”
          ― Joseph Goebbels

All of this is happening over a virus that has a 99.5(+/-)% survival rate, and a vaccine with at best, “projected” minimal efficacy against “serious illness or death”. Think about that.
What this virus has done, without question, is turn people against each other. Set up the “us vs them” paradigm that is beginning of what Dr. Wetzel, Eli Wiesel, and the elders in my family warned us about- We need to remember not just what happened, but how it was allowed to happen.

Your linked article is an abomination. From an organization devoted to honoring and remembering the millions of victims of the Holocaust while perpetuating the very underpinnings that allowed the Holocaust to happen. An abomination.

  5. Here are the official votes on this:
    https://clerk.house.gov/Votes/2021388

Check how your Representative voted, then respond appropriately.

If they voted to pass, you can give them Hell – and encourage your friends and neighbors to give them more Hell.

If they voted “No” – praise them and encourage others to praise them.

  6. We in the Commissariat need to know about this! We need to track the Boomers and other filthy capitalists that refuse to PROTECT THE SOCIAL ELITE by TAKING THE JAB!

It’s more “empirical data” for me to collect and put to use when our Chinese Communist overlords take control and heard you off to our “reeducation centers” !!!

    1. Yes, without this collected data you will never demonstrate your usefulness to our ChiCom overlords and become a valued member of the Party elite.

  7. Crenshaw votes for this?!?

Please tell me that is a mistake or there is something else in this bill that is so important it is worth voting yes.

  8. As one of the thousands of individuals who had his PII hacked by the Chinese, when they hacked OPMs database of Security clearance info. I oppose this. Federal and State Governments do a piss poor job of protecting taxpayer info, and providing them the authority to collect additional PII and PHI is bull$hit.

    1. 100% agree.

I’ve spent most of my adult life in the IT industry (programmer & database administrator). I firmly maintain that there is no such thing as data security if the information is accessible through the internet.

I have had my PII exposed through some flaw in the state’s system. Fortunately I’ve not suffered any negative impact – yet.

  9. If this manages to pass in the Senate and signed by Snuffy, lawsuits will be falling like autumn leaves.
