Black Lives Matter leader threatens violence if undercover anti-crime police return

Hawk Newsome, Greater New York BLM leader, threatened riots if plain clothes police return to the streets. In response to reporters regarding a meeting he had with the incoming mayor, Newsome said that there would be riots, fires, bloodshed, etc. if undercover police officers resume their operational role in the city.

Newsome spoke with the New York Post after the meeting with the mayor-elect. He said he was bothered that Adams “didn’t offer a comment on police reform” during the talk. The activist also promised his group would take action should they feel the NYPD is targeting their community.

“We will be at his front door, we will be at Gracie Mansion, we will be in the streets if he allows these police to abuse us,” Newsome said.

“I am not threatening anyone. I am just saying that it’s a natural response to aggressive oppression, people will react,” he added.

On Thursday, Adams reiterated his vow to reinstate the plainclothes cop units. He also downplayed Newsome’s comments regarding an uproar occurring if the undercover cops return.

“They didn’t say any of that in the meeting. That was a lot of grandstanding,” Adams said to the New York Daily News. “They know who I am. I ran on a very clear message: My city will not be unsafe and that is what we’re going to do. Clear plan: Putting together a plainclothes anti-gun unit–that will happen–and the city is going to be safe.”

Adams also took a shot at the power of the leaders in Wednesday’s meeting. He told the outlet that the group is “not representative of the Black Lives Matter movement.”

Newsome objected to Adams’ characterization, telling the Daily News: “It’s hypocritical that he would downplay the impact of our organization when we are looked at as global voices for the movement.”

  2. Fight a commitment to fight crime and keep the innocent safe with a commitment to commit more violent crime.

    I hope the police nationwide are refunded tenfold and unleashed with the fury of 10,000 suns against rioters, looters and anyone bent on assaulting innocent citizens.

      Or any of the other Democrat run states
      Florida passed an anti rioting law that forbids destruction of monuments and allows citizens to fight back if theirs car is surrounded by rioters.
      All states need laws like this

      1. I read that the obama appointed Fl judge walker put the kabosh on the anti rioting saying that it would violate free speech. The Gov has a circuit court looking at this so we will see what happens.

        1. A group of predominantly (or, at least, expressedly) certain minority folk can’t convey its point with looking, rioting and arson?

  3. In Vermont news ,, we have a lets go Brandon rally this weekend in Brandon Vermont. I expect BLM/ANTIFA to get bussed in for trouble. My kid has hockey so I will not be attending. Could get spicy.

    I bet Mr Newsome won’t be on the streets, he will be sitting in a comfortable office letting his minions get the crap kicked out of them. After which Newsome will bitch about violence against BLM and more calls to defund the police.

  9. Gee, I wonder if the Fan Belt Inspectors are going to investigate this BLM leader threatening riots and blood running in the streets as a “domestic terrorist.” Cuz he appears to be threatening violent riots to accomplish his political ends.
